- Come along for a tour of our brand new 2023 Ford Transit Class B van build camper conversion. We worked very hard to get this done in about 3 months. It was quite an adventure and we are enjoying it very much so far. We have some very neat features including a full 4 side security camera system with onboard wifi network, a full bathroom, large refrigerator/freezer and a state of the art Victron electrical system with almost 500ah of Lifepo4 batteries and 400watts of solar. Great job! We finished our DIY Transit van build three years ago and we are so happy with it. If I could go back in time, I probably would add a rooftop air conditioner, but the vast majority of the time we never need air-conditioning. It’s fun to have your van build documented on TH-cam, even if only for yourself. I know years down the road I will like going back and looking at what we did. Plus, sometimes people ask me questions and I have to go back to our TH-cam series to see how I did something! 😊

awesome build, great job. I was wondering if you had room for more solar on the roof in front of the AC? I saw on Amazon those BougeRV Yuma Flexible Solar Panels and wonder if those would work better for aerodynamics on the roof in that area. And as for the funnel, I just take the dishes out of the sink first. lol
Might be room for more solar for sure. But 400watts is sufficient for anything we do so I went with it.
A buddy had a funnel in detached garage,years ago,lol.

@@JackofAllMasterofNone well, that aint bad at all. I am going to look for your build. I wish I knew how to do all the video cameras and flood light hookups. And wifi (if needed) and I'm old school and would be the type to put a batwing tv antenna on the roof.
