I love to see San Antonio to build taller buildings downtown meaning 60 stories buildings and a rail system I always thought a monorail system than a light rail.
I work for Rackspace. We didn't move out of San Antonio, at all. Y'all got it backwards: Rackspace moved out of Austin. Rackspace is still very much here in SA, we're just moving office buildings. Y'all might want to correct that in your video.
Hey Kris , Thanks for the information and perspective . Definitely still some positions here in SA, but they don’t have the huge corporate footprint that they used to have in San Antonio for many years (downsizing from a 1.2 million sq ft office to a 100k sq ft office). We also know that a large majority of the employees were let go, as they outsourced the positions to different countries or other departments were sold off to other companies. This info is coming directly from several people we know who either worked at Rackspace And were let go due to these layoffs and/or still currently work for you guys and have worked for them for over 10 years. The part in our video you are referencing is to discuss huge / major corporations that are responsible for a large amount of employment, and because of the layoffs and downsizing , Rackspace just doesn’t compare to the other places we referenced (USAA, security service , etc.) Thanks for taking the time to check out our video . Take care
You forgot Fiesta Texas, SeaWorld, the 82 mile Howard Peak Green trail system that rings the san Antonio. Although you mentioned UTSA, you failed to mention that UTSA football has 20+, 30K at their football games. UIW is also a large private university with an FCS D1 football team. Other Universities here: Texas A&M San Antonio, St Mary's University and Law School, Our Lady of the Lake University - not to mention UT Health (the Medical & Dental School) as well as UIW's School of Osteopathic Medicine, UIW School Optometry and UIW Pharmacy School. Northwest Vista & San Antonio Junior College also have over 16K Students each. One more thing, Torchy's is good but it's not Tacos, it's fusion - Good Tex-Mex is available at just about any corner in the San Antonio area. Good BBQ places abound as well: Blanco BBQ, BBQ Station, Smoke Shack.
I m coming to san antonio in April ( i have dv visa ) i am asking you guys if it s a good city to live for a new immgrant personne comig from ander country .
Hello guys Great video. My family is planning on relocating. We are not sure where exactly. My daughter is MBA in computer engineering, the other 2nd year in college major in Business and my son will be a freshman in high school. Any recommendations? Any city/towns near the two cities?
Hello There! yes, There are a few small towns that have actually grown quite a bit since then, and might be the perfect balance of what you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to us! we are always happy to help out. Take care
My city of San Antonio ! We have the mega mansions and everything else that Austin has ( well not there night life but it’s still good here ) and accept the tall builders do ordinance restrictions for the river walk that are being totally lifted now . . Skyscrapers will be coming soon to SA.
Why you going to give the entertainment and activities to Austin where in San Antonio you have more to do with family like the amazing SA:Zoo, Six Flags: Fiesta, Sea World and the huge nice water park Atlantica. You guys forgot to mention that in this video😂 lol.
SA definitely has entertainment going for itself, but I still dont think it compares to Austin. For sure, SA is a family town and it has the edge over Austin there.
Great video! Very helpful as I was thinking about these two places in TX too. By the way, would you be able to do a video on 2A/firearms in San Antonio? I'm guessing San Antonio is more "gun friendly" than Austin and maybe most other big cities in TX just based reputations, especially as a military city, but I could be wrong. I'm hoping to move to TX in the near future from CA where gun laws are super restrictive and 2A rights under attack. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
@@huttnerd well if you examine the planet earth and all it’s various countries, most of the people are homogeneous. It’s only the United States and maybe the western part of Europe is where everything is all mixed up. based on the rest of the world that’s unusual if you go to China, most people are Chinese. If you go to India, most people are Indian if you go to Nigeria, most people are Nigerian you get the point that’s either true or false, and not an opinion.
@@AlamoCityLiving you would have to be black to understand there are some places you go, and it doesn’t feel right in some cities you can feel the racial animosity for restaurants I live in the Houston area and I drive all over the Mitchell area. I worked in this city called Santa Fe in Galveston County and I could feel something wasn’t right about this town. I didn’t see no Black people. I didn’t even see Hispanics unless they were working or construction sometime later. I was kicking it with my brother-in-law and he had a friend with them that was from a nearby town call la Marque and he told me he grew up there and he said Santa Fe is a KKK town when they had high school games and they played against Santa Fe and when they lose, they were calling the guys from La Marque the N-word all the time when I go to San Antonio and Austin, I get the same vibes
Keep yalls transplant selves at home😂 like away from Texas. Oh I heard OKC(Oklahoma city) is fabulous. So vete patas a tu estado. Yea in SA we talk smack in spanish if you dont understand😅 nmd. We'd love to have yall.
Two hour drive for austin...i can be at the beach or the bay in two hours, and im in the middle of nowhere California. Austin agents make it seem like san antonio is right next door. Just letting ya know that san antonio still has more clout than austin in most of California. Bigger city and alamo. Nobody cares about acl, f1, etc. Dont undersell yourselves. Take care.

How far is San Antonio from Austin?
about an 1-1.5 hours north of san antonio. That said, traffic does play a huge role in that for sure.
There is nowhere to park in Austin 😢
Yes there is but be ready to pay 50 dollars
Lol where do you park then? Outside of the city??😂😂
The Realty Bros!
so many places that are the live capital of the world :)
What about all those big ole women in San Antonio
easy there Charles Barkley
Hahahaha
I would say Houston and Dallas is more African-American friendly, not so much San Antonio and Austin
Explain 🤔
@@AlamoCityLiving , sounds gucci. Southern Texas is more hispanic-population.
I think it’s very silly to try to live somewhere based on whether people look like you.

No. I'm from San Antonio. We never let Austin win😅
U left out the medical needs comparison.
Austin used to be great…. But now an absolute crowded rip off
Yeah, but some of the restaurants they have there are just 🤌 🤌
I’m sorry but on 55,000 a year you will be renting your room with a bunch of roommates. 55,000 is absolutely not enough for Austin.
Personally I prefer Austin. San Antonio feels like it's stuck in time.
Yeah it's very slow and the job market is bad.

San Antonio is only 30-45 minutes away from SA
Away from Austin
@kenshaw3026 yes, maybe Schertz to far south Austin at 3am😅
Generally, both cities are considered good. It’s not like comparing New York to Atlantic City
