    Don’t move to anywhere west in San Antonio if you’re not okay with what should be a 10 minute drive being a 45 minute drive. Don’t move here if you are not okay with one way in and one way out of your neighborhood. Dont move here if you’re wanting to just get up and go somewhere because YOU WONT BE ABLE TO JUST DO THAT IN this area… not to mention, these houses are built very low quality. Houses are going up for sale while they’re still trying to sell new homes. Don’t move here if you’re okay with your kids being late to school because the school bus is in traffic lol . Just being honest….

    Is a pre-approval the same as an underwritten approval? If not, which one is preferred?

    • @AlamoCityLiving
      @AlamoCityLiving หลายเดือนก่อน

      With a standard preapproval after you go under contract, your lender will then begin the underwriting process for the loan. However, with the underwritten preapproval, the majority of the underwriting process is complete prior to even putting in an offer. Having in underwritten preapproval can give you a little bit more peace of mind going under contract.

    San Antonio sucks! The hot weather causes very very high energy bills. Your grass will seldom be green. Btw, people are nicer in NYC. Also, being a Red state, it's a corrupt state where the Republicans take in everything and you get nothing. Real Estate has been at a low-time low for the past four years. The politicians are corrupt, you will not benefit unless you are upper middle class or rich. I've owned my home for the past 11 years and looking forward to selling and moving, but I'm waiting for the real estate to increase. Wishful thinking?

    I'm mexican american married to a indigenous mexican woman. The only time I really experienced racism was in frisco tx. My daughters loved flag football so they joined a league in frisco, we were the only hispnaic family, everyone else was Black, white, or mixed between black and white. We were not wanted there, Team kept rejecting my daughters, ages 11 and 14. When they did get accepted the parents would never talk to us. Both Black and whites treated us bad. I noticed when I was by myself with my younger daughter which is lighter skinned we were ok but when my wife and older daughter was with me we would get looks and the silent treatment. A black trainer married to a white lady has my daughter removed from his team because he said he wasn't accepting anyone else, then the following week he went up to my daughters friends parents and told them he is in need of more female players and asked if they wanted to join.

    If you’re black from out of town, Houston will be better suited fSan Antonio is a city where the presence of Black individuals is notably sparse, and the undercurrents of racism can be quite pronounced. In stark contrast, the vibrant urban landscapes of Houston and Dallas offer a more welcoming and inclusive environment. If you are seeking a place that embraces diversity, these cities are undoubtedly more aligned with your expectations. As for San Antonio and Austin, they may not provide the best living conditions for those who value cultural richness and acceptance. While San Antonio has its attractions worth exploring, it is advisable to limit your visit to the tourist hotspots and refrain from making it your permanent home. 13:25 don’t wanna live out there.

    I live in the midwest and I am OVER the changing seasons. Mainly because of the fact that we only get 3 months of summer and 6 months of winter. My nutritionist moved back from austin to minnesota because of the heat. Is it common that people move back to their home states because of that reason? We will be visiting San Antonio within the next 4-6 weeks and our goal is to finally make that move. Any suggestions?

      As someone who actually lives in Texas (Houston), you're having a case of "the grass is always greener on the other side." Yeah, we do get summer a lot, but here's the thing: most people do not go outside all that much. We rely completely on air conditioning. DO you REALLY want 90-degree weather in the middle of October? This week Houston nearly hit 100 degrees, IN OCTOBER, and it'll likely be worse in San Antonio because it's much further inland. It's not like I can stop you from moving of course, but consider it for reasons other than just the weather because you're gonna start wishing you could actually go outside without getting an immediate sunburn and risking heat stroke.

    • @repurposedrestoration1498
      @repurposedrestoration1498 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Moving_Castles4278 The weather is just one of many reasons why we are moving to that area. It's the lower crime compared to where we live now in the Midwest where there are thousands of shootings a year , many places in Texas have affordable housing and cost of living and no income tax. The weather is just a bonus. And even though the air conditioning has to be on longer it's no different to me than having to pay for expensive heating 6-7 months a year. But thanks for the information.

    Yes, you are absolutely correct in your assessment of San Antonio, TX. In addition to its cultural diversity, with more than 65% of the population identifying as Hispanic, the city also faces economic challenges. It is often considered financially underprivileged, with a significant portion of its residents experiencing economic hardship. These demographic and financial factors shape many aspects of life in San Antonio, influencing its social structure, economy, and public policies.
