On one end I really appreciate these devices having unique stand out features. It keeps competition healthy and provides lots of different experiences with working with audio.
However, I can't help but desire a Phase plant esq version of a sampler that offers all these options in one package.
I'm super spoiled, but in today's day of technology I feel like a device like this should have been a long time coming.
What do you think? What's your favorite sampler and why?
What other features do you want to see in your dream sampler?

Lots of masterclasses updated regularly available for ARCANUM members
Man this video adresses something I’ve felt for like 4-5 years now. We have a plethora of synths that do damn near everything you could ever want, but nobody’s yet to make a do-everything sampler. Here’s hoping that soon someone does it.
Redux can do anything I could ever think of. I'm very comfortable with trackers, but for some the learning curve might be quite steep. But once you get it, I don't think you'd need anything else.
YEEEEEES!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT BROOOOO YES!!! I've been looking for a good sample for YEEEEEARS! This needs more attention!!
One of my biggest problems is when changing the sample to a different note, you also have to move the midi. So annoying.
I think what I'd like to see is more ARA available for samplers. I want to be able to make something in the DAW, then sample that into the sampler without having to sample it and then do more stuff to it. Vocal chops being my number one, but bass is not far off.
I'm so glad you mentioned the Rolling Sampler. I saw that thing in another video and was going to ask, but here we are now. lol
May have been my review?
samplr on ios had an update recently, its not as evolved as some of the other things but might have some features similar to the alkemy one.
Try Redux vst. If you are familiar with trackers at all you will know.
I second this.
I want flattening pitch like waves sampler.
I want normalizing volume and panning like abletons sampler.
I want an FM Matrix that is more advanced than abletons sampler. Have RM/AM, sample n hold etc.
Granular and spectral engines.
Macros, Envelopes, and lfos.
Looping, slicing, warping/stretching, pitch shifting, frequency shifting, detuning, harmonic tuning, grid snapping, etc.
Filters, distortions, limiting/clipping, other fx.
Can go on and on. I'd pay for the ultimate sampler in a heart beat.
Me tooooo
Maybe if you ask nice Polarity will make it in the grid for us?
Dude, I've gone through this process myself, checking different samplers, and finding every one was missing basic functions. So frustrating.
I’m glad I’m not the only one 😭
Rolling Sampler does seem incredibly useful. On iOS, we’ve got skipback recording capability within Ableton Note and Dawnbeat, but an Auv3 we can set on the master would be amazing!
Didn’t know Dawn had that!
Keep it up with the great content!! Triaz is also worth checking (:
I like at triaz but I didn’t see anything stand out for my needs apart from what I already have
I will try Shortcircuit XT. Because i am happy with Surge XT, maybe it is worth a try... or isn´t?
Sampler+ in Bitwig at some point? 🙏
Your bringing so many quality videos I just haven’t got the time to dig into them I hate work.😂
I’m not out to waste anyone’s time lol. But the videos will be ready when you get to it
@@Alckemy ❤️❤️❤️
@@Alckemy I love wasting my time on your videos it’s my hobby I hate work.
Rolling samp. is excellent, learnt it from alckemy...
Hey you can split sounds to a multisampler in bitwig, doesn't that tick one of the boxes?
I didn’t mention it because the slices are destructive
@@Alckemy Okay, cool what do you mean by destructive?:)
Wow Alckemy this is such an awesome super sampler I love it. Well done dude.😃👍🔥❤️
ive wondered about the missing 'perfect sampler' for years as well, its kinda weird.. ive thought about trying out UVI Falcon, looks promising, although too expensive for me at the time..
Would not recommend it tbh. I’ve had it for 6 years and can’t stand it
@@Alckemywow! What’s wrong with Falcon? I’ve heard people say it’s the one. Could you do a review or vid on why you don’t get on with it?
@@Ezi83 I have several videos on falcon and why I don’t like
@@Alckemy thanks. I’ll take a look
Also the ableton sampler is just too damn small!
Have you tried the grain sampler in Reason? That looks a lot like your iPad sampler. Same drag ( with mouse) future and record the movements.
I haven’t in years but I will look into it^^
