Communication is such an important part of a relationship that if a girl is keeping shut when there is obviously a problem (whether it be about you or not) this is a red flag. Remember, the silent treatment is a manipulation tactic, do not tolerate it.

I think you need to have a serious discussion first my friend explain how you feel how it hurts you ask for proof. It's amazing to me that you got all the way to step 8 and then said 'have some patience'. If you've made it through 7 steps, patience has literally gotten you nowhere. In my view, and I've been married 28 years, if your partner won't open up about the problem and is also still being distant, you don't need anymore patience. You need courage, the courage to leave. A well meaning woman with love for you won't string you out a long time with no answers and no change in behavior. If you tolerate this for long, you will only set the precedent for continued bad behavior from her. Women are different, we all know that. What people don't realize is for a relationship to work, there has to be some level of honestly and openness. If there is something that's bothering you and you can't share with me, then you obviously don't need me. I walk.... whatever it is, however hard or bad it is, whenever it is there, share it and talk about... Relationships thrive on communication, honesty and openness. once you do this there will be increased confidence and trust in the relationship.

I have a woman in my life that loves me. We communicate very well. However, she goes in and out of my life. She has been in my life for 23 years. However, she also likes women. But, she always comes to me saying she does not care about them. She recently told me I'm the person she wants to be with. Then, she turns her check to me twice in 2 days, saying she does not kiss anyone on the lips. We even recently talked about having children. We have talked about that before. Now she is saying she won't be my girlfriend. Even though we have been a thing forever. She has said I am hers forever and then recants later. It is very confusing, even for me, a person who teaches people how to be counselors.
This actually worked for me. I made a stupid choice by overstepping a boundary I didn't know about but she asked me for time and she needed space. I told her she was valid in her feelings and that I would respect her space. I made it a point to not contact her for over a week and although I was in my thoughts on the situation, I remained hesitant no matter how much i wanted to message her or call. Up until 4 days ago, she messages me and asked me to join her at Disneyland and I was kind of shocked.. She opened up about her stress at work and with family and how she respected how patient I was with her. She messages me every day again, she calls me, she includes me in her life, it was like that time never happened. She really liked that I didn't overstep even more by calling or reaching out for any contact for that matter. Yesterday, we got together and had an incredible time at Disney and she told me she wants me to be around all the time again how sorry she was for not opening up sooner. Now we're beginning to communicate our boundaries and thats the greatest feeling in the world. Moral of this is, space is IMPORTANT. No matter what situation, I definitely added onto her stress. I've learned a lot just from my situation. Thank you, Jessica!

I’m dealing with someone who do mindgames as well and I have the choice between 3. But with her is the connection strongest and I understand why she do this, because she is insecure and don’t want to be hurt. Women can be complicated and trust me most of thier complications is another man is involved, Men have their own problems already and any woman that wants me to stress myself to understand her is not worth it.

This is right. If you are just dating it could be : 1) she is also seeing someone else and is not sure of you
2) She is hang up on her ex, and if you guys are moving towards something more serious she may pull back because she is still thinking about her previous relationship and it’s scared.
Either way the guy has no faults. Unless you have done something to her like being too needy/clingy or you have cheated on her, it’s best to focus on yourself be silent and forget about her. If she is really interested and wants you she will contact you, if not you have your answer.

I had been dating a woman for about a year, known her 3 years, so we discussed living together the future etc, she seemed happy, literally from one day to the next she started getting aggressive, saying demeaning things, hung up the phone, than sends a text saying I miss how we were ? Than I call she didn't pick up the phone, so I gave her space, she became a Rollercoaster, when I met she never cursed now I hear a lot of profanity, it got me overly anxious we both stop calling. She's 51 a PhD, good job and very materialistic. Which is fine for her, I own a small business and I'm moving on.
