A friend recently finished Automata and I asked her, "Ok, when are you going to start the sad Nier game?" She was taken aback, "wait, Automata isn't the sad one?!"
I will feel for Emil for as long as I live. The boy continued to live on for tens of thousands of years, fighting against the alien invasion until he couldn't remember even himself, all to protect this world that his friends lived in.
It's possible but u likely the original is alive. Automota Emil said he has no idea where he is so not a definite dead but he also said he can die and respawn indefinitely so I'm not sure what that means like is the reincarnated Emil different than a copied emil? Like a reincarnated Emil would keep her memories before while reincarnated maybe only knows things only after the copy @@NinosThighs
Like, no joke, both Replicant and Automata helped me cure my depression, and holy shit, feeling emotions again is the best experience one could feel. Watching Frankie endure all that emotional damage made me remember why i love these games so damn much. Screw you!, and also Thank you Yoko Taro...
I relate to this deeply, I played both those games at some of the lowest moments of my life and it helped me process so many complex emotions I was feeling at the time. I'm glad it helped you as well!
There's a story that tells what happened to the P-33 after the events of the game, it's called "the fire of prometheus", and it was probably this robot that caused the machines in NieR Automata to stop fighting.
@@christiantaylor1495 No, the storybook sections of the 9S playthrough. The very first one in the desert when you are about to reach the apartments. The book talks about a volcano erupting and a god emerging. It was the Junkheap with P33 escaping it after the events of RepliCant. The section is called 'Spirit of Fire'. It's also a short story from some Drakengard 3 additional material.
i watched a whole 6+ hour video to know that. The story has so many more beautiful details that the games don't mention, its much more deeper than I thought I love it
Automata is the one that really stuck in my head between these 2 games. Automata leaves such a strong impression with route C. Its one of the only times a game has really shocked me and left me speechless. Automata route C feels exactly like shadowlords castle sequence except for the length of an entire route. It's non stop emotional pain train and plot/character development. The icing on the cake is that the side material/lore for automata is actually written and made to work extremely well in the game once you have knowledge of it. Makes it feel like the game and side materials were both written with each other kept in mind. I did get spoiled on quite a few things before going into replicant (by fans rather than automatas own reveals), but this new ending E sequence was completely new to me and it was definitely my favorite part of replicant (funny since it's more like automata). It was just so so so cool seeing automatas style, influence and "callbacks" dripping and seaping in as you progress through the tree. I was weirded out fighting the kaine robot clones, but the MOMENT I saw those white blocks leading to that little doorway I let out an audible "no fucking way" I proceeded to have a happiness attack and got giddy like a child when I walked passed that door. From there you can guess just how ecstatic I was going through this sequence. Ending E was a great gift for replicant fans. But with the amount of fanservice for automata fans, I'm almost inclined to say that it was an even more spectacular gift to automata fans. All around amazing sequence. Still wish I could skip route C, but ending E is just so damn good
Man the wolves part still hurts me so much. I played this game shortly after losing my 🐶 and that part hurt. These games and emotional pain but I can’t stop playing or thinking about them.
You have such great voice replicating skills. As I was reading along, and you started to talk, I thought it was actually Emil and Kainé's voices. Then I saw it was you and was surprised. Even after knowing it was you, it still got me a couple times later lol.
One of the most intense experiences of my life. I felt so empty after finishing Nier Replicant and Automata and acknowledged even more how it is to feel alive. Everybody should played or at least know these masterpieces. Everyone who played and understood Nier, can relate to your emotional reactions Frankie ❤

I very much relate to your desire to experience this game again for the first time. This game means so much to me, and the art you had commissioned is incredible!
I think the fact you have to put your name on the hero and answer "who is the person your cherish" by your proper name means a LOT for yourself in this game.
Brilliant edit, thank you so much for sharing. It was very validating and I enjoyed suffering through the story with you again (possibly the best/only way to relive the moments)
I am swapping back and forth between playing the game myself and watching you play, and I just gotta say that your impersonation of Kainé and Emil is blowing me away. Literally had to do double takes to see if that was actually you or the game 😵💫😵💫😵💫
This video is all I didn’t know I needed. Your reaction through all the ups and down in the story were the best way I’ve ever seen someone play it since I my own you get sis did. Thank you. It was a great ride!
Really enjoyed watching you complete your playthrough! Replicant truly is a special game. No matter how many times I see many of those cutscenes, they still get me! Glad you enjoyed it so much.
i relate SO MUCH to wanting to be able to play this game for the first time again, what a masterpiece. bawlled my eyes off playing and watching these videos, nier replicant has no business being this emotional like holy crap yoko taro fr both giving us depression and curing our depression at the same time also your voices for BOTH email and kainé are insanely good i was shocked the whole time, great video! thanks for letting people experience this story again with you, reactions make it a bit fresh again its fun and second best thing since we cant just play as if its the first time again, we live vicariously thru you haha
17:19 i finished Automata in the last week, and this song "kaine/salvation" everytime breaks me in the heart, because the "gathering keepsakes" sidequest of automata. And Lunar Tears are very emotional to me.... Now im playing the replicant too, and finished the A ending just now.. Thanks for the reactions. Its good to know that im not Alone with my tears.
Now imagine playing the original which did not have the final scenario where you play as Kaine. The Lunar Tear at the title screen was the only evidence Nier existed. It REALLY felt like a sacrifice. But it also was fun playing the remake and seeing the Automata tie-in.
The feeling I had when completing this game was a feeling that I will never be able to feel something like that again. As Yoko Taro said, ''I'm happy to be sad"
The nier verse is my all time favorite. So happy i stumbled upon your playthroughs, makes me feel like im experiencing everything again for the first time.
Thanks to you it is like i relived this game once more (and cryed my eyes out again, lol). Your emotions, your expression, your beauty, your flawless voice acting, your jokes, your compassion and empathy towards heroes... All these were absolutely amazing. And thanks for putting extra arts - they are truly catching and suited extremely well. You are magnificent. Thank you.
Even I finished the whole game, I still watched almost the whole gameplay again. NieR series is such a masterpiece. The storyline, the music, all make it perfect.
The routes of NieR Replicant are the equivalent of Route A: I killed them! All of them! And not just the men, but the women and the children too! THEY'RE ANIMALS! Route B: *WHAT HAVE I DONE?*
Thank you so much for this video, really. i'm finished this game some days ago and i really wanted someone to share my experience with and talk about the game, but anyone of my friends play or have interesting in this game or automata, and see you playing and have the same reactions and emotions for the game, i felt like i could share my emotions for this amazing game, Thank you again 🌹
Fantastic video, thanks. There are bits of this story that I cannot watch without tearing up, no matter how many times I've seen them. Overall, I slightly prefer Nier Automata as it does the repetition thing a bit better, but both are masterpieces of story telling. Kaine is my all time favourite video game character, though (and I do have a hankering to call someone a "f**k-waffle").
Fantastic videos. Well worth the wait The Nier series are some of the best games I've ever played. I even platinumed the original Nier in the leadup to the release of Replicant, and I wondered if it would hit even close to the same once I started going through the remaster. Cue ending E, and I'm weeping like I only ever have before at ending E of Automata. These games are truly special
I just rewatched your part 1 just so i could catch up to this. And i can say, without a doubt, thank you for this part 2, Frankie. The amount of love, dedication and respect you put on this is truly astonishing. The resonating reactions and care, the edits, the amount of work you and Malphier put is impressive. Every scene integrated with his art literally sent a chill down my spine. It feels like a reexperience of this game all over again. I’ve played this back in the ps3 as dadNieR, than later on as this remake. This game (and later on Automata) shapped my rpg gaming experience, my taste in music and so on. And this video is truly truly special.
You are an adorable gamer. I especially like where you danced along Popola I’m glad I get to watch you through this emotional game and feel the way I felt when playing it
I'm so glad that the TH-cam algorithm brought your channel back around because I loved the prior playthrough videos, and my god the video art from Malphier makes this so much more powerful. This game changed my life and absolutely broke me and I'm so glad to see so many other people truly appreciate the absolutely harrowing and beautiful story.
subscribed, thumbsed up, and turned on the bell BECAUSE you were willing to lose your save data for kaine. i went in blind and also lost all my save data for her on my first attempt at that decision not knowing i could get it back so huge respect to you
I am SO happy to finally see this!! Too bad I missed it 12 days ago...! This game is pure suffering in the best, most human way, and I will forever cherish it as such. Few games will ever make me feel the ways that Nier has made me feel, and it is so special for that. I'm glad you were able to experience this masterpiece, you have such a kind heart for it to touch you as much as it did. Stay strong, no more crying(ok, maybe not that), and live with a smile on your face! A certain skull-headed boy would ask you to do the same.
WOW, I found your channel(by finding the previous video) a couple of days ago and was kinda disappointed there wasn't a part 2, I'm extremely glad I found the video when I found it! Finished replicant myself a couple of days ago as well and I'm no playing automata, I'll surely check your automata video when I completely finish it!
the only video game that made my cry about a book... and ofc a lot more... alone the music now makes me tear up wish I had the forget thing from MIB to replay the game over and over with fresh memory
I KNOW there's a lot of time but i feel like a scene missing is when p33 tries to fly away so he and kalil can be free. i also thougth that it would be too difficult to try to input the extra content into one video lol, hence why it took so long. but i'm really glad to finally see your reactions to the full nier franchise. you stated what i've been trying to tell ppl since i first saw the original nier replicant/gestalt release... EVERYONE needs to play and experience the NieR games. and this is the ONE game i wish i could experience again for the first time, as you also stated. thank you again for your videos!
Thank you and Malphier for making this video extra special, this was more than worth the wait. Happy to see you enjoyed the game and the many emotions it brings :)
thank you for this video, i had to stop playing somewhere in the middle of route B due to big changes in my life, and it'd be very difficult to ever finish it. your video gave me an idea how it'd be to bring it to completion. cheers
Thanks for the video! It makes me want to say something poetic about how I'd forgotten about the series just like Nier was forgotten, but it was just as sweet to finally see it... But I'm just too freaking tired right now to bother. 😉

I especially like where you danced along Popola
I’m glad I get to watch you through this emotional game and feel the way I felt when playing it
Holy macaroni the immersive mode was something I wasn't expecting. Great stuff! Props to you and Malphier both.
Random stranger says : loved your journey from start to finish. Also amazing characters impressions ♥
I'm so glad that the TH-cam algorithm brought your channel back around because I loved the prior playthrough videos, and my god the video art from Malphier makes this so much more powerful. This game changed my life and absolutely broke me and I'm so glad to see so many other people truly appreciate the absolutely harrowing and beautiful story.
subscribed, thumbsed up, and turned on the bell BECAUSE you were willing to lose your save data for kaine. i went in blind and also lost all my save data for her on my first attempt at that decision not knowing i could get it back so huge respect to you
Finally OMG
Been waiting for this for a very long time
Love you frankie ❤️❤️
Watching this while NieR Re[in]carnation grinds itself in the background. Feels good.
Your voice acting is so good
WOW, I found your channel(by finding the previous video) a couple of days ago and was kinda disappointed there wasn't a part 2, I'm extremely glad I found the video when I found it!
Finished replicant myself a couple of days ago as well and I'm no playing automata, I'll surely check your automata video when I completely finish it!
I was waiting for it a long time
Many thanks
Anyone else been looking forward to this for a looooooong time?
The two things a drakengard fan is afraid, a giant flower and the frase "I hear a song"
Amazing video, I'm glad to still see people love this game as much as I did!
When I played through again, the wolves part got me the most. I didn't cry until I found out the wolves were just trying to save their tribe and land.
I absolutely love your videos of the Nier saga, thanks for everything
💙 I love your content and the dedication you have when making videos
the only video game that made my cry about a book...
and ofc a lot more... alone the music now makes me tear up
wish I had the forget thing from MIB to replay the game over and over with fresh memory
The lovely little game about a merry band going around, destroying humanity, but my god do we love them... Amazing playthrough, thanks!
You should narrate, you have a wonderful voice for narrating 😊
The effort you put here is incredible!
THANK YOU!
