I also redid my electrical on my M38. It had been converted to 12v many years ago. I changed it over to the GM alternator. I sourced a different company’s bracket since the previous bracket was for a MOPAR alternator and external regulator. This all takes me back to install and remove to make sure it all fit and was adjusted right. I think you will like the set up when complete. The peace of mind with new wiring is worth twice the price. When you lay it out work one circuit at a time. It goes much easier that way. I’m enjoying your progress. Keep up the good work. 🤠
Hey thanks Mark,I’m really glad I changed over. I hot wired it so I could see how it starts. And it fired up awesome. I respect keeping it original, but I’m not trying to achieve that with this Jeep. Now just waiting for the harness thanks for the advice and being part of this project.
Hey Jason You are going to be so happy that you went 12 Volt on Ned ! The Jeep already runs great but now it will start great too. The 12 volt lights are so much brighter. And, if you need to jump start something else you can use Ned and the new 12 volt system. Enjoy my friend. Work Safe, Be Well
You are so right Chuck, I’m really glad I converted it. I hot wired it to see how it starts and it starts great. Looking forward to getting the wire harness in. I respect keeping it original but I’m not going to worry about it with this Jeep. Thanks for being here my friend be safe and well.

Nice video 👍 installing new parts is so satisfying!
There’s something to be said for reviving old parts. But yeah, putting in new pants and they work right off is nice
