Absolutely! We now look back on our video diary and can't believe how much we have done. I am so glad that we decided to keep a visual record of our travels. It's been wonderful for us to have and it's brought joy to others, which is a massive bonus! Thanks for commenting. W.
Well Magnus & Wendy.. I've seen Narrowboat Nutshell chapter 1 end. Now I'm seeing Sailing boat Nutshell chapter 2 end. I saw the episode when you went to view your new boat, so i am assuming that will be chapter 3. What great memories you have and will cherish from Nutshell 2. Thanks for all the great vlogs with Nutshell No. 2. Keep safe and take care... 😊🍻👍
Yes. Chapter 3 is houseboat Nutshell! We are onboard now and going through quite an extensive shakedown. There are plenty of boat jobs to be done. It’s very different being on a houseboat catamaran instead of a monohull. We’ve already been able to explore very shallow areas we couldn’t get into before. Thanks for your comment. W.
Thank you, Anthony. It's been an amazing adventure. It's a little bit hard to let go, but we like to mix it up and do new things, so that's exactly what we are doing. Sailing a houseboat from the Gold Coast to the Kimberley with a LibertyKite! Mad, perhaps, but we'll give it a crack! Watch this space. W.
I can remember the first time you saw Nutshell and seeing all the “house-keeping’s” that you had in front of you! It has been a pleasure to watch and follow along with you both, on this Life in a Nutshell! I, for one, look forward very much to the third chapter! All the best Richard
Hi Richard. Thank you for your kind words. Magnus said to me the other day that the housekeepings on the new houseboat are worse than on SV Nutshell. I didn't think that was possible, but some of the joins have tens of patches and often end in completely the wrong colour. He has been chasing cables for days trying to sort the mess out and bring some sort of order to it all! W.
Yes. It was a crazy time. I'd never sailed before we bought Nutshell, so it was a steep learning curve for me. A bit daunting! Wonderful memories, people, places, experiences. Thanks for commenting. W.
Wow, I’ve been following since you started on Nutshell, what a ride, all the places I’ve seen! It’s hard leaving the old girl, your home away from home for so many years, but it’s time. Thanks for sharing her with me, what a run! HOUSEBOAT WITH SAILS TIME, like what???
Thanks Nena. It's been wonderful having you along for this massive journey. We are very excited about our new venture. Probably a bit mad, sailing a houseboat from the Gold Coast to the Kimberley, but we'll give it a go. I'm looking forward to exploring the shallow anchorages and also drying out. We haven't done that yet but we are planning on it in the next few days so we can inspect her bottom and also find out what she looks like under the waterline. W.
Having experienced it myself, I know how difficult it can be to say goodbye to a vessel that has carried you thousands of miles. However, there is also the joy of a new experience!⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️
You’re so right. We just have to focus on the future. Even though it’s hard to say goodbye to Nutshell we know that with our new boat we can do things that we couldn’t do with her, so we can experience our surrounds in a totally different way. W.
We will miss nutty Wendy! But we look forward with anticipation and excitement to the future adventures you and Magnus share with us! Stay well and safe, we are about to elect our new president here, so a new era begins for us as well. Best wishes to you both!!
Thank you, Karl. We will miss her too, but we are very excited about what we are going to do next. We have bought a rather large houseboat! Our initial intention was to build a small trailerable houseboat and explore the coastal waterways and inland rivers and lakes in Australia, but an opportunity came up and we ended up with a large houseboat instead (not trailerable!). We are onboard and getting her ready to head off. She needs a bit of work, of course, but we're up for it! We will now be able to explore shallow waters which has already allowed us to go into anchorages that we would have had to pass by in SV Nutshell. It's all very exciting! Thanks for your continued support. W.
Thank you. We’ve held onto her for quite some time. We decided to wait and see how we felt about definitely selling her. It was a very difficult decision to make. So many memories. Anyway, we are now in our new boat which is very different, so lots of new experiences ahead. Thanks for the comment. W.
Just love watching your grounding, down on the water attitude to life. Have loved watching your canal boating, Pacific and Kimberley cruising in Nutshell 2 and am sure Nutshell 3 will be a ripper. Carpe diem! 😎
Wishing you a wonderful journey ahead😃🌿🌸 And your episodes around buying the ketch online, from sitting in a narrowboat in UK to going onboard in Panama and getting your new Nutshell sailing, are still exciting to watch. Cheers🎉
Thank you. We have now bought another boat, online! There's a pattern here. We will be sharing our adventures on her too. Thanks for your continued support and thanks for your comment. W.
Well Magnus and Wendy - it has been a real treat following you since the narrow nutshell and you have both certainly lived life to the full. So now a bit of kite surfin’ with a houseboat attached - sounds like fun.😀👍⛵️
I like that! Kite surfing with a houseboat attached! Hopefully, less of the surfing! But, I guess we’ll find out. I’m pretty sure no one has powered a houseboat with a kite! W.
Great Work !🎉😢⛵️bring on the surfing house boat, have you heard of the houseboat that was built in Melbourne by a church and delivered to Papuan New Guinea missionaries in 1970’s by a young sailor,no one else would do it,great story
Wow! That sounds amazing. I’ll check it out. That’s why I love sharing our adventures on TH-cam. There are so many wonderful people with stories that you get to hear about. W.
Love your channel. What amazing adventures you are having. I have been to the Kimberley's three times, never get sick of it. Such an incredible place. Just wondering how much you are selling Nutshell for. Cheers.
She has been an amazing yacht to have. As you say, very comfortable and safe, which is what we wanted for our bluewater cruising. Now, we are changing our focus and planning on exploring closer to shore, poking into anchorages and shallow waters and heading down rivers. W.
We are actually enjoying croc-free country. We have bought a rather large houseboat! We were going to build a small, trailerable one, but an opportunity came up so we jumped at it! We are going to sail our houseboat from the Gold Coast in Queensland to the Kimberley. How? With a kite! Mad, maybe, but it will be fun to have a go! Thanks for the comment. W.
Cant wait guys 😀
Thanks John. We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds. W.
Good luck on the next chaptor. Loved this chaptor so please keep sharing.
Thank you. It’s been a blast! We will continue to share what we are up to. Interesting times ahead. W.

Onward and upward. The end of one era signifies the beginning of the next. We will be watching, regardless. Big love.

@@LifeinaNutshell Cant wait for the next chapter to start. I am of the opinion, however, that you will return to the cut. I dream of life at 4mph max.
We will definitely return to the cut. We’ll just play around a bit here first and then head over. W.
@@LifeinaNutshell Fantastic news! Im obsessed with NB's. Pity I live in S Africa with no avenue to ILR in the UK, or Europe.
Onward and upwards 😊

Hi Andy. Do you have any more specific information about it or a link to the story? I’ve tried googling but couldn’t find anything. W.
Episode 5 of the ocean sailing podcast, you are going to love this👍
Thank you. W.
It was fun while it lasted good night nutshell.
Goodnight Nutshell and hello Nutshell. We've bought another boat so will be sharing our experiences on her! W.
Well , that was a blast ! Looking forward to chapter 3. Thanks as always for sharing your adventures . xx
Thanks, Christine, for joining us on the journey. W.
Love your channel. What amazing adventures you are having. I have been to the Kimberley's three times, never get sick of it. Such an incredible place. Just wondering how much you are selling Nutshell for. Cheers.
Yes, it’s an amazing place. We’re asking AUD $179,000 for Nutshell. Thanks for watching. W.
I have a Hans Christian 38T... the best boat ever for safe, comfortable sailing. Sorry to see her go.
She has been an amazing yacht to have. As you say, very comfortable and safe, which is what we wanted for our bluewater cruising. Now, we are changing our focus and planning on exploring closer to shore, poking into anchorages and shallow waters and heading down rivers. W.
We are looking forward to Chapter Three with enthusiasm as we always do with your videos.
Thank you so much. We’re very excited about it too. W.
Sad that you are moving on from Nutshell as my wife and I live on Inamorata...Pearson 367.
Do look forward to your new adventures.
Yes, it’s very sad. But, we’ve now bought a new boat so lots of new and different experiences are ahead of us. W.
... has Nutshell been put up for sale?
Not yet. But soon. W.
… thanks Wendy, could you let us know when she is :)
Hope to see more renovation videos on the houseboat!
We will be sharing our renovations on the houseboat. Plenty of boat jobs to be done! Thanks for the comment. W.
I bet you miss the lack of crocodiles in the UK canals? What are you guys up to next?

Please keep your channle going. It's part of my sanity regime.
We will definitely be keeping the channel going. We have already bought a new boat so the videos will keep coming. Thanks for watching! W.
What's next? A trip to a really good barber. Regain some of your youth! Wendy can have a nice spa visit so she's not missing out.
You got it! Looking very dapper now. W.
Is that tv linked to the boat electronics or a computer?😢 goodbye nutshell
Hi. It's connected to a computer. W.
@LifeinaNutshell OK tanks, it's a great idea. Make it easier to see in tight area's and watch nut shell when out in the open waters 🤣
... has Nutshell been put up for sale?
No, not yet, officially. W.
Why oh why did you sell her🥹
I know. It’s sad. But, life goes on and we want to embrace as much as we can. X
Take all ur personal things away. What do you want for her out the door
Hi. We're asking AUD $179,000. Thanks for watching and commenting. W.
