I would just leave the boss fights how they are. Not everyone wants high difficulty some want to just relax and have fun. There's enough stress in life. Don't need it in video games.

5:36:54 I was about 12 in the UK when they took the nunchucks off TMNT.. I remember kids fighting with sticks and trash can lids in the school playground . One day, Some bright spark dads made their kids nunchuks. Those delightful kids then put some other kids in the hospital . I remember the hysteria in the news. The argument in the news was “Nunchucks are too easily made with household materials “. The reason the other weapons were not removed is because the UK doesn’t really have shops where you can buy swords or sais and they are not easily made with household materials. Granted a bo staff is easily made, but not easily concealable by a kid. Hence just the nunchucks got removed from the show. Still pretty stupid though, rather than just punishing the stupid parents and kids for making nunchuks, society had to punish all TMNT fandom as well. Great video. This game got me into gaming so did f zero. Oh man the nostalgia on this one hits me pretty hard. When i was around 6y0 i got an SNES which did belong to my step sis and i did grind the shi out this game on SNES but i did never beat it. Thanks mike for all the nostalgia you make me happy my dude ♥
Remember a Parker Lewis Can't Lose episode where his nerdy friend got addicted to video games? He had some dream where he was inside Altered Beast. I was thrilled about it as a Genesis kid. At the end, he shook his addiction I think, and Parker said something positive about gaming, like it requires problem solving and improves your reflexes or something.
5:40:00 the Michelangelo mask should give you ability to cross gaps. He can use a grappling line. Or he can throw smoke bomb to become invisible for a time. Or he can use ninja magic to destroy all monsters on screen
This video combines the two streams Mike did to play through this hack. I have to say...what fascinates me about this hack is that it is different in one regard to other hacks I have seen on Mike's streams and elsewhere: in that it doesn't stick to the structure of the original game but doing something a bit shorter but making its shortness count by using lots of neat ideas. In detail, it doesn't follow the "opening, three amulets, mid-boss, seven crystals, final fight structure" of the original ALTTP but just needs you to find four amulets and then you already go to the final dungeon and fight. I find that a pretty good ambition that more hackers could learn from: not trying to be overly ambitious by having to painstakingly follow the same structure of the original game, but doing a shorter game but filling it with lots of uniqueness, interesting challenges and the like. I think the only thing I have seen come close to this so far was when Mike played some of those Mario Vanilla Level Design Contest compilations (though in those cases it were just individual levels and not games). Definitely a really good hack.
That music at 12:46 is from Subrosia from Oracle Of Seasons lol....its perfect timing for me to watch this because im playing "Link To The Past" again, and im right at getting the 2nd maiden out of the 7 in the dark world. So everythings fresh in my mind again (I have terrible memory) lol

I love the game, it's slightly on the simple side as far as weapons in an FPS go, but the story is amazing, and iirc you're not having to wait 60 hours Mike Time (2 minutes real world time) thru a cutscene at the beginning. I think it was the first game to utilize real time portals on maps, like in the game "Portal". If you were gonna play it, tho, you should've played it in October. Very much a horror-scifi type of experience, like Aliens/Doom crossover or something like that. I really wish they would've made a sequel, but instead we got Rorschach tests as enemies in a game with the same name that has precisely dick to to with the 2006 game.
Hey Mike, in your second stream of this game you were asking about Holiday Games. The Capcom PS2 Nightmare Before Christmas is a solid game. Covers 2 holidays for ya and it's a Hack n Slash similar to Devil May Cry and God of War. The GBA one is good, but it's more like Castlevania/Metroid.
Nice to see this was a quality hack, from beginning to end. Sometimes they start good, but end weak or you get soft locked. By the way, if you dip your toe into Ultima, U4 on NES is actually a nice place to start.
So how does it work with YT analytics with these long videos because with me, I probably come back to videos like this at least 50 times before I get to the end so do they update every time I come back to watch?

The first Wizardry I got into was 8, there's an extreme level of depth (par for the course for western RPGs I guess) and can be very very slow; but it's also really fun and interesting. One that might be better for streaming is the (previously?) PS3 exclusive one which has a more polished anime art style and is generally more streamlined and simple, better reflecting the dungeon crawling origins of the series.
In response to your Ultima question near the start of the video I would say Ultima Underworld is great as a first person RPG, if you want to play the main series then Ultima VII is usually considered the best.
Looks like a pretty good hack. I saw you have Interconnected Strongholds on your system too. I think you'll like that one if you haven't played it yet.

oh there will definitely be more, the new Zscream editor is still being updated, but it's a lot more accessbile than Hyrule Magic which was the original editing program.
I was on the Metroid boss fight and the boss just flew off screen and never returned lol. That’s the end of the hack for me. Such a shame because it was good otherwise. Edit: Went back and tried again and it went just fine. Ended up finishing the hack. Good game.

I played and beaten this before i watched you play this so it wouldn't spoil anything for me and your missing one mask and a the secret treasure in the mineshaft, you know the blocks you pushed from each side,it made a hole to fall through in a room locked behind a master key door,its in the upper room on the right side of the dungeon, you'll be surprised whats in that chest,it bothered me so much when i see you skipped it by accident lmao plus get that last mask too brother you were so close to it i was yelling at my screen for you not to go to the castle of shadows next

Less than 20min in and the music is really grating. This stinks because I really like listening to certain game streams while doing other things and glancing over to see when you have a big reaction to something (as opposed to the majority of your uploads where I am actively watching too. this game, meh. the nes zelda hacks, heck yes)... Whoever made this hack music probably didnt consider certain tones and notes can really bring the fun of playing down a ton, and the repetition is unescapable, like a car with bass on max parked on the street outside.
