    Thank you dude, even though I'm not a Engineer (I'm a premed) these videos help me learn some prospective. I'm a 20 year old and started college this January, took my time in CC, sometimes I feel like I'm a little bit late to the game but taking the time and being actually interested in things and my studies I was worth it

You will feel old around the avg college going audience, but I'm so used to it now I love people-watching these 18-20 yos being dumb 😂 sometimes I join in to enjoy my youth too haha.

    Nice message! The younger people usually don’t understand the grind until later, when they actually have to do it & go hard. I was definitely in that category. If ya don’t listen & learn from the experienced, then experience itself will teach you well. 👍🏽

    11:20 I don’t really agree with this because I am that person. I’m retaking an intro to Java course right now, and I remember that when I first took the course, I was clueless. It all sounded like incantations to me, and I never practiced coding because I told myself coding wasn’t for me. But two years later, I’m retaking the course, and wow, I suddenly understand it (still the same lecturer). I now understand coding because I’m actually putting effort into learning, and that makes me more confident to speak up in class, not because I’m regurgitating old materials. I didn’t even remember it was the same lecturer, lol.

    To be honest I thought stem majors made a lot of money. As a chemical engineering major how would you go about maximizing your income in such field or other stem fields?

    • @authorjond
      @authorjond  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Stem majors have the potential to make a lot of money. So do actors. So do sales people. It’s all up to the individual. You can’t think about a degree as a defining factor of what’s going to pay you money, you have to think about being an employer and how you would choose somebody to give a lot of money to. remember, someone is making the decision to pay you. Are you worth that kind of money?

    What job did you have in yours 20s that paid you so much?

    • @authorjond
      @authorjond  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was in sales at Verizon Wireless before the iPhone. It paid really well. I made 70,000 each year I was there but the first year, I made 50k in 3 months approx and then they changed the commission structure. There are always jobs like that but finding them is the trick. I was really good with sales though. Most did not do as well as me.
