I often suspect him of deeper level 'pranks' and so on.. but I believe the 'sorry about that- adjustment thing' is on-the-level. He occasionally has to make manual adjustments to his firewall to keep the trolls out (well, not trolls in the sense of annoying commentators or anything, but trolls like some of the goons from FIDE. Before the FIDE feud it's anyone's guess who was on the s-list.. I wasn't paying attention then so much :)
This truly demonstrates why knowing the endgame is so important. By studying the endgame at home where you have all the time in the world at your disposal, you are able to do all of your thinking then. That way you can spend all of your game time moving and forcing your opponent to make mistakes.
I'd say this game makes Maxim looks better lol. Plays with black pieces and looks for a win, does exchange sacrifice, comes back from a lost position to actually winning despite being much lower on time than Magnus, although he does lose at the end due to pressure of no time and end game mistake.

But the winning condition is favor for black. But of course Armageddon introduce to get the winner as other game still have a chance to get draw result.

But they cannot just have an equal match with equal times and no draw odds. So if the players didn't want to goes in unfavorable side, they must win the game when they still play in normal time format and rules. As both players already give that chance and still have draw-ish result, so they can't complaint if the winner must decide with Armageddon.
I do not like Armageddon, probably because of my age I prefer tradicional chess. Anyway I must admit that this complicated games played at speed-light by these monsters have a fascinating side!
