I can't get over the beautiful little towns with no or very little activity! Not many people or cars on the streets. Spain is sure beautiful! Thank you for sharing your hike.
Ya it really was. You want to hear something funny? That monastery is over 80,000 sq feet and only 7 monks love in it. How's that for luxury? Sure was impressive though.
Just watched your 3 last vids in one go, that was very nice. Challenging weather and flat landscapes: surely needs a bit of mental strength, well done 👍 The cathedral in Leon was very impressive indeed, the stain glass was just amazing, thanks for sharing 😀
Yes, it comes down to what a person is used to. I was raised in Indiana, which is very flat and currently in Florida which is flat, so I'm used to hiking the flat lands. Something about looking out as far as the eye can see but then not so much fun when there's no shelter from the wind. Leon looked interesting, a mix of new buildings with the old.
Hi Adventure Quencher. Congratulations on reaching Leon and getting out of the plains, wind and cold rain. I noticed that you have found, for most part, nice accommodations so far on your pilgrimage. I would love to see a video from you where you identify your favorite hostels ("albergues"), why you like them, and tips on how to find them. Thanks!!! "Buen Camino"
Don't laugh... I used booking.com and took the cheapest I could find. Honestly itt was that simple. The accommodations among this trail were amazing. As for favorite? That might have been Leon hostel. What an amazing deal and you see the huge living room... All for €40/night. Of course I still have a little bit left so one that is nicer might yet come along.
Thanks for sharing your journey / adventure! Fascinating! Onward and upward...you've got this!
Thank you. It's my pleasure

I’m like you. I’d love the area with more mountains and forest. Take care.
Don't get me wrong. I'm ok with flatness but it was the weather that came with it that was relentless an annoying week after week.
