I’m off the fence. Going all in with resolve!! Also started the St. Bridget 12 years novena today for my family so that I can leave them in Gods hands and work on myself. My prayer has changed from “convert them” to “make me the kind of person that draws people to Jesus Christ”. My heart is changing. Thank you for your help.

      Beautiful!!!
The shortcut to becoming that person is to just invite Jesus to do it for you. Ask Him to live His own life within your body and soul. Ask His Heart to replace your own, ask that His eyes would gaze through your eyes, that His thoughts would flow through your mind, that His lips would speak through every word you say.
If you will continually invite Him and listen to the little faults He points out to you and surrender those to Him, then very soon you will be the kind of person who draws everyone to love Jesus, because they will be drawn to His very presence veiled within you.

We are on the verge of the most profound awakening of God’s people that the world has ever seen. The forces of darkness loom on the horizon but God is gathering up a great army that will engage in the most decisive spiritual battle of all time. Our Lord Jesus is coming soon and the world will finally realize the greatness and healing mercy of God’s love.

    Faustina,
I've never heard of you until this morning when you popped up in my TH-cam feed with this video. The title of your video isn't what caught my attention either. I'll tell you what did.
After walking my daughters to the door of our parish school, I started wondering over to the church to pray for a short time which is normal for me to do some days. Today, something happened that doesn't happen often these days, but I became familiar with in my first years as a Christian. Simply put, a familiar sense came to me that I attribute to my guardian angel trying to show me something. I was led over to a wall that had a picture of all the religious vocations and seminarians from our archdiocese. I knew from experience that one particular word would stand out.
That first and only word my eyes fell to was "Faustina." I noted that the "St." part of the parish name didn't seem important, but all the context I had at the time was getting back to my growing my devotion to the Divine Mercy and going through St. Faustina's diary.
The second thing that was pointed out to me as my steps were guided into the church was the twelfth station of the cross which is when Jesus dies with the Blessed Mother, St. John, and others staying close to Him. At the time, I wasn't sure what to take from this. I began reconsecrating myself to Jesus through Mary just a few days ago. So I thought it was encouragement to be more devoted to the Rosary. Though, again, I wasn't sure yet as when these things happen to me, I've learned that the purpose and meaning comes later and my initial impressions are like a child trying to figure out what their parent is doing for them before the parent is ready to tell them what the surprise really is.
Next, which I had no guesses for, the confessional was pointed out. I had no context for what this could mean since I confessed two days ago and do well enough to examine my soul and confess even the roots of sin.
Finally, the tabernacle where our Lord dwells in the flesh. At the time it was kind of an obvious "well yeah, Jesus is everything" meaning for myself. As I walk out I visit some statues on my own accord and thank those saints in heaven for hearing and answer my prayers and helping me here on earth so frequently, which is my norm. I drove home reflecting on how much I've changed in the last ten years since discovering the Catholic faith. Even still, I realized that me holding onto something, knowingly or not, is holding back what God wants to do in my life.
So I get home, log onto my computer, and do my normal thing of checking TH-cam some before working. I scroll down some and see a video that just doesn't seem to fit. I have no clue what it is. I hover over it with my mouse trying to figure out why on earth this video is on my feed. The transcript eventually got to where you mention your name, "Faustina."
At this point, I click on it, still not sure if it's a Catholic video or if you just happened to be some gal that had Catholic parents that named you Faustina or something else.
Well, thanks be to God, it turns out I'm not some crazy guy wondering about my Church looking at seemingly random things.
Here you are, Faustina, exploding from the heart about the good news that Jesus has the power to truly set us free from ALL attachment to sin. If we believe that Jesus is the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, who died for our sins on the cross, why do we so often hold onto our sins while telling Him we are sorry and asking Him to forgive us? Give him that which He came to take away! Without Him, we can do nothing. If we put all our efforts into stopping our sins on our own hoping that we will one day feel good enough about who we are to finally open up and be vulnerable to God, we will neither be free nor joyful nor peaceful. We won't be set free. We wouldn't relate to our doctors this way if we were diagnosed with cancer. If we had a glimmer of hope in living, we'd say whatever it takes Doc, let's do it. With our Lord, we don't even have to set an appointment.
Jesus, be my healer, save me. I give you my sins. Make me whole. Take this heart of stone and give me a new heart of flesh. Make me a new so that I may live totally for you.

Yes, all we need is a firm resolution and a continuous strong desire not to sin.
To quickly turn back to Jesus when we do and tell Him how sorry we are and ask for His help to avoid sin in all its form. We will find we are sinning less and less.
Jesus is very , very pleased as we strive to live this way. We are giving Jesus permission to work in our life with our firm commitment and strong desire not to. Actually its Jesus who does everything .We put in our 1% and He does the rest.

If God can heal the paralyzed, feed 5000 with five loaves and two fish, walk on water and ressurect himself after being crucified, well then I trust that through His Grace, it's possible he could turn this wretched sinner to a Saint one day who never sins. It seems impossible to me, just as all His other recorded miracles are, but thankfully I trust Our God can do the impossible. I ask Our Blessed Mother to give me sips of the Divine Will until one day I may imitate living within it as she did so gracefully.

@@faustinagorham1891 I had been inspired to look into the Book of Heaven after one of your recent videos posted on Mother and Refuge (the one with the orange haha). I watched your video and something deeply clicked for me and I felt called to follow that. I’m listening to audiobooks of the book of heaven only on volume 2 and also doing a Noveena this May to Our Lady based on Luisas writings on the divine will.
Thanks for being you and for also being in his Divine Will, since what came from your video was a good thing, only God can be given the Glory of that which is good.
I had an experience around 10 years ago which somehow I think I may have through grace been shown what it can be like to live in the Divine Will. This was before I was even catholic, but searching out that which God granted me to taste, eventually lead me to being baptised with my family of 5 last December 23rd, and then as I continue forward I now rest where Our Lady has brought me which is learning and listening to Luisas writings.
Sorry for the long post but just wanted you to feel how nothing you do is small, as we are all part of the Body of Christ, sharing what you learn as you grow helps us all and it certainly helped me.
God bless you Faustina and good luck as your journey takes on a new form, I believe shortly?

If we firmly resolve to, we can cease to criticize and judge others as well :)
And the more often we invite Jesus to truly live His own life in us, to see others with our own eyes the way He sees them, to replace the vacant hearts in our chest with His own Heart... well then the more His own love for others will become our identity and we will naturally experience overwhelming compassion for everyone because He has fused His own life with ours.

Purgatory is never something that I've dreaded, quite the contrary. When I'm not in an angry phase (with God), I recognize how purgatory is a powerful, perhaps the ultimate expression of God's mercy for wretched sinners. I see it as a cleansing of the soul, I see it as a therapy, a sort of divine therapy where each day frees you from what has afflicted/plagued/weighed you down in life. I've had trouble with hope, even as a young boy, the thought of not having to deal with that, that alone would be cause for great relief and exuberant joy!

The light of Christ is enough to light up this world a million times over. If you make room for Christ in your heart by getting rid of all the distractions, then He will overwhelm all the darkness around you effortlessly and you won't feel so beaten down by everything because you will be above it all. You will learn to see suffering as joy, because He is the one who suffered first and when we suffer for love of Him it consoles His heart.
It takes time and attention to empty our hearts and make complete space for God so we can get to this place, and the devil wants you to think you don't have time because of all the distractions you have to worry about, and all the other people you have to fix.
If I were to try to be positive without Jesus Himself being the beating of my heart, all my efforts to be positive would ultimately be like trying to build a pretty house on sand. But this life of freedom with Him is so much more than positive, it is overflowing rivers of genuine invincible peace and joy that cannot be shaken even by the most violent of storms. This is what He wants to give to everyone, only very few want to lose their attachments and give Him ALL the space in their heart.
He is speaking to you though. He wants this for you.

@@teacherreads1076 I relate to that social anxiety, fear of evangelism alot. But I found that once I stopped trying to evangelize and just focused on Jesus within me and letting Him transform me... I don’t know I never think about it. I often don’t say things to people and sometimes wonder if maybe I should. But then sometimes it just happens naturally and I actually think it’s better that way because it’s really true that when Jesus is really in you, they notice and don’t need you to say words. Sometimes words and preaching turn people off. Just loving people and having relationships with them is evangelizing... But every once in a while I am moved to say something, but it feels natural and simple. We don’t need to turn into street preachers. I actually think it’s better if we don’t. So don’t worry about evangelizing, it probably won’t look like what you are afraid it will look like.

It sounds like you are a person who would understand His agony more than most. It sounds like you are the kind of person He would be able to confide in and rest in as a shelter from the agony the world gives to Him.
He is utterly here for you. Even if it feels like nothing but darkness when you speak to Him. His heart was also one that felt this crushing desolation and abandonment.
He isn’t finished with you. The more suffering a soul experiences, the more they are able to be a compassionate shelter for others and the more capable they will be to contain deeper wellsprings of joy in the next life.

Anyone would feel purposeless and beaten down if they didn’t have the time to breathe. If at all possible try to carve out significant time for silence with God, rest and recreation. Your deepest purpose in life is to be loved by Him and to return the love you receive. But if you don’t have the time and space to experience that love and to hear Him whisper the designs He has put upon your life into the depth of your heart, you are always going to feel buried and lost. The devil wants us to think we don’t have time to rest and if we aren’t intentional about it we will become slaves of productivity without ever experiencing purpose.
I don’t know your situation. Perhaps it’s impossible to get out of. If this is the case, then even our suffering and exhaustion can have purpose. Invite Jesus to work alongside you. He can transform your little actions into building blocks of the future Kingdom and beacons of grace for others.

But over time, I let myself be deceived in moments of weakness and have fallen back into my old habbits. I am conciously delaying my freedom from them, as they have surrounded me with more temptations and obstactles that I have to deal with. So much of my prayer, recently, has been a confession not only of my sin, but of my desire for that sin… prayer to not have the sin removed, but to have the desire for that sin removed.
We can seek forgiveness for our sin till our death, but if we do not confess & repent of our desire of that sin, we will regularly and perpetually fall back into it.
Might this be the difference between the remnant & the lukewarm? The difference between the narrow path and the wide?

I grew up Catholic and my spiritual life was all over the place. Sometimes I was on fire for Jesus and other times I was just going through the motions. Several years ago I had an epiphany. It resulted in deconstructing my faith and I ended up leaving the church. But it also resulted in a resolve to “sin no more” I view sin differently these days but that resolve is more strong than it’s ever been. My life has completely changed since then. I don’t gossip, I don’t wallow in drama like I used to, and the pride I had is all but gone. I would make a better Catholic today than I when I was going to church every Sunday.

It's like everything that's fun and gives enjoyment to life is a sin and everything that brings suffering is supposed to be a blessing, it just makes me think heaven will be more of the same and we're just practicing suffering to become desensitized for more work in heaven as a good servant, please tell me how wrong i am

    • @faustinagorham1891
      @faustinagorham1891  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

That makes sense why you would think that
But from my experience, there is so much joy in enjoying things in moderation. Good things. God created so many wonderful pleasures for us to enjoy like fruits and music and wine and relationships with each other. The joy of living in love with Him is unmatched.
It’s true that we cannot give in to every pleasure because some pleasures have now become distorted. Pleasures that take us away from true love are the ones we are to avoid because truly what they do to us is destroy us deep down.
The only reason we have suffering in this world is because we have sin. We were never supposed to work win a toilsome and burdensome manner. We are never supposed to have to die. We must work and suffer for a time down here (Although God also does want us to experience real deep joy in our hearts and to enjoy innocent pleasures He created for us)
But Heaven will be a place of nothing BUT joy and rest and pleasure. Absolutely, completely pure love! We will do nothing but enjoy forever and ever.
I actually made a separate video called “Why am I Suffering” if you are interested in more of my perspective on this. But no pressure :)

God more replace that desire for fake beauty and ask God let me love you more than pornography because you made beautiful girls and you made sex so I think I can love you more with your help, blessed virgin to see her face in meditation using your imagination you will see her and you’ll see real beauty and you won’t desire fake beauty anymore
