    I’m stuck between the 6.0 to a 6.7 reason being is the 6.0 has the torque, the boost, and the beautiful sounds but they are notorious for breaking and being a money pit but once they’re gone through and fixed right AMAZING trucks.
    The 6.7 however is has I few problems too EGR cooler, clogging, injection pump failure, clogged DPF, coolant leaks, etc.. but more than that a solid used 6.7 is anywhere from $30-$60,000 and I can’t see spending that much money on a used truck diesel or not.
    I need someone’s opinion that knows what they’re talking about. Who either has had both trucks or has had one or the other for many years.

    • @Loosearrow_lifestyle
      @Loosearrow_lifestyle  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It all depends what you’re looking for and the purpose of the truck..If you want the powerstroke platform and don’t want to spend over 60k on the truck then I’d either buy a clean body 6.0 with no bulletproofing for 12-15k and spend another 10-15k to bulletproof it or buy a bulletproof truck that’s already been done with proof of paperwork and you might spend 15-17k
      But if you want creature comforts then you’re gonna spend 65k plus on a 2020 and newer powerstroke

    Just bought 2006 F250 6.0 4x4 with 133k on it. It seriously looks almost factory new. The interior, exterior, engine and underneath…everything looks immaculate. Whoever had it before had also replaced the stock stereo with a Pioneer flat face with Bluetooth so that was a plus too. Had a fifth wheel in it, semi hard bed cover and the stereo also has a backup camera system in it with parking sensors. Had everything I needed and got it for 13.5k. I thought it was a great deal.

    Just got an 06 really plain truck, but it's a california rust free truck in great shape otherwise. 217k miles on it. Ran me about 300 miles and i'm waiting on an IPR valve. overall I really like the truck, but I think if I have any real trouble with the engine it's getting a high pressure common rail 5.9 cummins swap. Sad ford put such a potentially iffy motor in such a great truck.

    I did the same mods and have put on 100k problem free. The 6.0 is the best truck on the market once bullet proofed. Without a doubt, no sruds needed just reporgram rhe timing and fuel to fain hp+torque. Go with all synthetics in oil and trans fluid. Moreover, add Lucas additives your truck will love you.
    Ran into a diff issue....my rear pinion was leakiing and did not catch it in time. In short, service the rear with the Bar Leak additive. I aslo added a AT205 in the diff and the engine.

    I took mine to 500,000. Not studded. I got it at 250,000 and put another 250,000 on it. Pulled the cab to reseal the motor and decided with the high mileage it was time. Got a new drop in crate motor from power stroke two weeks ago. ARP studs, upgraded oil pump, injectors, all the goodies. Also put a new wiring harness, rearend, new transfer case(dogleg) I hate auto 4x4, new turbo, radiator, alternator, all new hoses, cab mounts, shocks, leaf springs, ball joints, tie rod ends, all the front end stuff, hubs, steering column, gearbox, hydro boost, really just too much to remember. The truck is flawless now and I couldn’t be happier with brand new, 21 year old 500,000 mile truck

    I am in the same boat, sold off my 2003 Ford that literally had zero issues purchased a 2006 to get the better suspension and the truck lasted about 60 miles, still had the temp tag on it and now I’m into it another 10,000 buck for me there’s no way in hell I could pay $60-$80,000 for a new truck when I only use my truck to tow a few times a year, so justifying that kind of money for something to sit it’s just something I’m not willing to do.
