I was at this show and it legitimately felt like the building was about to come down. You can see the fear on his face. The ground was shaking and it felt like an earthquake. I've never felt anything like it at the Garden in almost 40 years of going to show there (first show was when I was 12).
I was at this show, as a senior in high school, and I remember this song so clearly. Immediately after it ended, the band walked off stage, almost as if the show was over, save for the fact they probably hadn’t even played an hour at that point. FFW 10-15 mins, and the band comes back to the stage. Eddie proceeds to tell the audience, that apparently we’d been rocking so hard, in rhythm, that it was threatening the actual structural integrity of MSG! 😆 He then explains they have now joined the ranks of such legends as: The Boss (obvi being so close to NJ), Iron Maiden (not surprised), The Grateful Dead (? surprised! 😂), and someone else, I believe, but I can’t remember. God! What an amazing 3-Day Run! I don’t care what they say about you PJ. One of the best live acts AND CLASS ACTS ever. Period.
Just watched the video in it’s entirety and realized my comment is somewhat redundant, but glad my memory is still holding up after many a moon since in NorCal 😆
@@liadcohen8327 they all looked freaked out as fuck at the start of the song.. like no not another roskilde. I felt for them the first couple minutes til they settled in.
Eddie and Pearl Jam the coolest. No wonder I love Eddie and Pearl Jam so. Still do after 30 years. My love for them has lasted longer than my abusive marriage, thats for sure 👏👏💯💯💖💖💥💥
Oh this is the song Do The Evolution where it scared the crap out of Eddie the stage shook he thought it was an earthquake, awesome!! It's Rock and Roll Babyyyy!! 🙂💓🤘✌️LOVE IT!!!! My favorite band on this planet.
+skuad58 He had a mohawk while recording Riot Act so I'm assuming he got bored with it and this is the very early stages of growing his hair out, again.
This song rips and usually in comedy you say terrible crowd I think it was lack of production. Its hard to jump your life away in this one moment to a guy in a collar shirt and a nerdy guy in glasses. Speaking facts. The animated video though, excellent production with great guitar skills and a singing voice of an old crazy man with wisdom. Proof that dressing up is everything, yeah in one hand wtf are you doing but in another if you aren't wtf are you doing, go play a soft game of tennis.
@@timmatthews1604 right bc "Tim Matthew" is the last line of defense for pearl jam lmfao, hey boy, *take a hike* lmao your opinion is less valid to me then your extra y chromosome children.
I am going to the Church tomorrow in my small town immediately and absolutely. It's time.❤

@@mikecantreed I wish I had the energy!
Always
You can see the stage, mics and cameras bounce and shake on video, and the fear in Ed’s face. What a legendary concert.
Brilliant live version! Jeff's bass line is awesome.
Muy pero muy pocos grupos logran sonar en vivo mejor que en estudio y PJ son los mejores en eso. Love them
Si mon 💯
We're not worthy... Best performance I think, and my floor always moves. Love ya'll

I am a thief, I am a liar, THIS STAGE IS BOUNCING, sing like a choir! - Nice one Ed :D
I was there. The whole building was bouncing, not the stage. I've never felt anything like it. I thought the whole arena was going to collapse.
