You can exert more force when you only have to worry about your form in one direction
That and incline Arnold presses (you lay back with 30-60 degree incline and start with weights like you're starting a bench press, but then you rotate them parallel so that you can feel your inner/upper pec exerting force)
It primarily works your pecs/delts but it also works the stabilizing tris so you don't end up with wonky proportions
