He was always my favorite because a lot of the other guys were really quite fat and didnt look too strong. This guy was just pure muscle and looked as strong as he was.
I prefer the 80s. they were willing to experiment with the events a lot more back then. and the rivalry between Jon Pall, Kaz, and Geoff was great drama, those guys really pushed each other
As a Polish fellow of Mariusz Pudzianowski, I can tell You he’s still popular in Poland and well recognised by younger generation, he’s no only a great but also a good man as he proofs it so often.

Let's face it. At 6'2" tall he was one of the smallest competitors yet always the strongest and fastest in the events he was in. He also was "ripped" compared to who he was up against. Very impressive indeed.
I'm 6'2 from a family of men who are 6'4-6'8 on average. They're all fat though and I maintain so from experience I can tell you that height and weight aren't everything. I can run laps around most of them with just about any given task.
He was absolutely the best to ever do it. We might never see anyone as good as him ever again. He was the only one with any fast twitch to his game. All the other guys look like shambling zombies and Marius looks like he runs track.

My former Contract Administrator, a retired marine used to do strong man competitions. He was diagnosed with cancer and his life was "dated". His world was turned upside down. His health took a miraculous turn for the better and he started doing age group competitions again. Watching this makes me respect him that much more!

Bill went back to Powerlifting and injured himself and was Never able to regain his WSM Title. Bill and Mariuz are my 2 All-Time Favorite champions.
