I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is a major Luddite paralyzed by techno-fear.. He's convinced his phone is spying on him.

Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls TH-cam "the U-TOOBZ". Just email him, srsly.

The “deer” head etched on the hunting knife blade is a Chamois and Weidmannsheil means ‘Good hunting’.
I caused great frustration on a visit to Germany when a gentleman pointed to a picture of a Chamois and asked me what the English name for this animal was. I had never seen one before and guessed it was a Roe deer😂
I love watching Tom and I never miss an episode. The most important thing I've learned, is that all of 3rd Reich stuff at the local antique stores is probably bogus.
The two medals in the wine coloured box are the annexation with Austria medal (always silver in colour with the red ribbon) the bronze coloured one is he Czech Sudetenland medal which is the correct medal for the box. Neither are the Memal medal Ob ,that is much harder to find but they do pop up now and again. These medals were known as the flower war medals because the civilians threw flowers at the German soldiers not grenades😂 Best ,Ross., England

The red ribbon is 100% correct for the Austrian Annex medal.Both medals look original from here as does the box guys🫡

Nice stuff as always sir. I am also glad you mentioned the Ivory thing. Many don't realize you even need that certificate. I had some trouble with a sword cane from the UK that had Ivory on it not that long ago. Though the UK's laws regarding even a kitchen knife or machete is getting hard to navigate these days. Lol
Judging by the recent violence in our country, there are no laws for owning a machete 😢
