  • The model name is BOSCH GSB 18 V-EC
I have this drill for a few months in which I used it every day and I decided to clean it (gearbox and motor) because it showed signs of fatigue.
I hope this video helps other people who have the same drill model to rebuild the gearbox, chuck,dc motor.
I also have another video with this model: Bosch PSB 18 LI-2 if it is helpful.

exceptional work and professionalism on the job great to watch. I was wondering one thing only -
when you used the electrical contact cleaner on the stator/field wouldn't that disrupt or remove the enamel protection of the winding? if that happens it would be quite dangerous and could easily short anytime, Also one suggestion: if you had disengaged the keyless chuck from the impact drill before opening itself, you could also clean the primary shank shaft and the torque selector from inside - will appreciate any comments you ave on both. Great work!!!

Hi,thank you for comment.I used electronic spray from liqui molly this product is not fast dry to distrupt or remove the enamel protection of the winding.🍺🍺

Hey nice vid, I have broken three keyless chucks on these drill in the last 4 months. They get jammed fully open so easily, that's happened twice. Now I have a chuck that won't tighten after stripping and putting back together. Annoys me as it's not a cheap drill!

What type of lubricant did you use on the gearbox? That blue stuff didn't look like lithium grease.
Also I've heard that too much grease in a drill can cause problems, by getting into the motor windings or something.. I'm not sure if that's too much.

I don't think you are supposed to oil the outer face of a sealed roller bearing nor the inner one for that matter... This part is not supposed to spin. If you want to oil the bearing - try injecting grease inside the bearing or just replace it.
