Rob and Rupp are both from Minnesota (which, in the states, is about as Canadian as you can get without being Canadian). Tim would be the third one that lived and worked in Minnesota the longest. Austin is a Georgia boy so he should get a pass and Chance is wet behind the ears when it comes to all things northern, so he should get one as well. That leaves Rupp as the only should have known and I am a little disappointed he didn't know more of these. I grew up hearing Hoser and Tuque. Chesterfield is a well known couch. Gitch (etc) was new when I first saw it. Timmy's is something we don't have here but I've sure heard of it. Loonies I knew as Canadian coins (especially quarters) are the bane of many a Minnesota vending machine visit.

I am Canadian so this is funny to me. Tim knew a lot of them. We got rid of the paper one & two dollar bills & have coins for that now. A tuque is a knit hat like Chance is wearing. Tim Horton's donuts are a big franchise here. Not everyone calls underwear by those names. Have only heard gonch before. But I don't say that. I use the word couch more than chesterfield.

Wow, I didn't know you were a Canadian. I'm stupid. :D I've hardly had any contact with Canadians, but my teacher in French was from Quebec. :) But I think I would understand the Canadians and these terms. At least in a context. :D

We refer to underwear as gitch occasionally but I'd never heard of gonch, ginch, or gotch lol. Also have never heard anyone refer to a couch as a chesterfield so I'm not as Canadian as I thought.

Some of these questions appear to be trick questions, cause even the Canadian didn't know them. If you're gonna quiz somebody, the questions ought to at least be legit.

I think gonch is an older term - I heard it when I was growing up in Alberta.

I knew several of them, probably because I follow/listen to quite a few Canadians. Didn’t know Gitch for underwear. Also didn’t know two-four. The others I had heard before. Toque was one I thought was pretty well known in US, but guess I was wrong. I’d heard it a lot. Most coffee place are better than Starbucks. Starbucks Is just more numerous so easier to find one close.

God I will continue to trust your timing even if I don’t understand. I’m having a hard time paying bills and putting groceries in the refrigerator. BUT I STILL TRUST YOU LORD! Faith is trusting in God durning hard times. Faith is what is getting me through my hard situation. I’m still struggling to providing for my two autistic children since losing my job over declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and Heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth Hospital. My husband passed away three years ago, so I’m all alone. Both of my sons are non verbal so things are more hard on me. Every month I don’t know how we are going to make it through. Every month is a struggle, a battle to not end up on the streets. I’m so depressed and embarrassed by my situation. I’ve been put down and mocked over my circumstances. I’m so ashamed and overwhelmed. BUT because of my faith God shows up every month and provides. He has even sent strangers to help me, thank you Father. Even as I face homelessness with two young children seemingly every month!
I know that God will provide abundantly. Thank you Jesus. I BELIEVE!

Gouch must be a western Canada term, no one I know in the Maritimes has ever used that term. I've noticed alot of "Canadian "terms originate in the West but get attributed to all of Canada, right.
