krita really overwhelmed me so it took me a lot to get used to it, especially the brushes. After a couple of months (probably a year) of procrastination I decided to put myself up and thanks to you everything flows better ☆ you are very cool for that, don't you forget it
this was super helpful. I've been using Medibang for my art for years, and just had Krita just sitting in my system, never to be used because it was a bit overwhelming the first time I tried it. I decided to give it a try again, using the knowledge I have with using Medibang (and Photoshop). I had no problem understanding and navigating through the program for the most part, but the inking was my issue. I was using that very brush, but the inconsistency of the line was really bothersome. Found this tutorial, and now my ink lines are exactly the way I want them to be. Thank you for this. :)
Thank you so much for this! I was using the fine-liner ink default brush because I didn't know how to customize brushes. The fine liner ink brush is abysmal for line art, ironically. It makes a ton of faded pixels along it's sides, and makes coloring in the art a nightmare. Thank you!!
Thank you! I always use the basic 5 brush but it just wasn't neat enough for the line work. I had no idea we could do so much customization with the brushes!
Thanks for this. It is very tricky to get a brush that behaves like you want it to if you don't know what any of those options do but this is a good start

Hi! I think you should enable the pen pressure. Click on settings, then click on "Configure Toolbars", once clicked an additional dialog box will appear below the "Available actions" is a searching bar, type pen pressure and a pen pressure option will appear, then once you click on pen pressure, click on the right arrow and a symbol will appear beside the undo and redo button. I actually tried this but it didin't work, however, I closed krita and opened it again to see if it worked and it did. I followed this video's tutorial after that and I finally got the tail. Also, before opening krita again, I adjusted my pen tablet's pressure sensitivity to my liking. I don't know if this helps but I hope it works for you!!!
Thanks pal. In the grand scheme of TH-cam, almost 20,000 is still small - but to me - that's huge! :) We're growing so fast! Very glad to be able to help you out man :)

i did all the settings but the tip of the brush, which was initially supposed to be thin, remains round. this is very annoying. have any idea what it is?

so im new to Krita and digital art in general and i tried what you explained on this video but I kinda failed? idk my lines are not even close to as smooth as yours and also the diameter like for me 10 is really thin can barely see it and to get a sorta diameter like yours i need to put it around 40.... idk why it's like that for me. But the video definitely helped me understand how i can make a more customized brush.

Love this video! But when selecting the "basic 5 size" brush it doesn't have the tail at the end I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Also what canvas size do you find that works the best?
Do other brushes have pressure sensitivity? If not, then you'll have to figure out what's messed up (could be your drawing tablet's driver) As for the canvas size, you have to work big... but I like to work huge, just in case I want to use the art on something that's bigger or smaller, in the future. I try to do at least 3000x2000, since you usually don't draw out to the edges - you art will tend to be 2500x1300. Bottom line... huge canvas :D
