    Kids don't need technology when they are outside. Just more dynamic natural surroundings.

      True. They don't need it. And yes, I am a big fan of more dynamic natural surroundings. Truth is, that is not always within reach for the Children. And what about you, are you technology free when you are outside? You are on TH-cam, not in the forest now (or maybe you are ;)) What if you can have both? Only if technology is not the goal, but just a way to offer play possibilities for the players to discover.

      @@roblbee, I find your approach intriguing! And I've seen great success with the installations you were involved in, we have them in several playgrounds around here. But I'm not completely convinced of your approach to the "gameiness" (for lack of a better word). I'm a researcher at Uppsala universty, focusing on technology enhanced public and outdoor play I think there is something to that comment on the importnce of dynamic natural surroundings, but I also believe the interactive game approach can be merged with that to great success. Are you still with Yalp / Lappset? I would love to discuss this further!

      I think we should incorporate technology whenever it adds fun to the experience. It’s not an either or.
