7:30 is the start of the VW Scirocco commercial from the thumbnail, probably the reason many people clicked, just to see them launch that thing off some dunes!

@@ernestcruz6316 I'm actually a bit proud of that joke. Next year is it's 50th birthday. (yup, telling that one since '74). I might not have ever remembered it if I hadn't seen this. Funny how the brain works, because the line still popped into my head as quickly now as it did back then.

There are some recognizable faces in this video, like Jonathan Winters for Good Humor, Dan Resin for Volvo, Richard Mulligan also for Volvo, Morgan Brittany for Dynamints, and Jack Palance for Lipton soup. Also the voice of Paul Frees as the French king in the Green Giant ad, and William Schallert doing the voiceover in one of the ads for For-Most.

I feel so sorry for those 70s people. Between the rampant athlete's foot, bad breath, indigestion and piles, they did not seem to have any fun at all. At least they had genuine Swedish Volvos to drive.

What's funny about that is -- they made almost the identical car for about two decades. I owned a 1990 and it was still a brick. A very safe, very well designed if slightly underpowered, brick. Anyway I only mention this because, if you cannot find a '74, you might expand your search to a different model year lol. Thanks for the comment and for being a sub.
