I love these old ads, I remember some of them. They remind me of a time long gone. The time of when I was a kid and a teenager and living with my parents. I miss those days.
4th of July of 74 I made my first trip to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm with my family. I was four years old & my brother was 2. My aunt & uncle lived in La Mirada, CA at the time (just up the road from Biola University where I would attend 20-some years later). I would have seen all these ads on LA TV.
I love watching these ads again and remembering the way it used to be. In 1974 and 1975 I was going to the smallest school in the California school system, Allegheny. I wish I could go back there. Love from Marysville California
I found one that I bet a lot if people missed (including myself, the first time anyway): at the 1:00:08 mark, the little blonde haired girl in the Tender Vittles commercial is Missy Gold (Katie on Benson).
@ 31:03 “Wow, Dad! You got me a present? Is it the G.I. Joe with Kung Fu grip that I’ve always wanted?” “No, son. I got you this lovely Ozite Carpet hard-hat instead. Have fun with that.”
5:20 - Bill Cosby for Del Monte green beans. (He does another Del Monte ad, for tomato sauce, later in the video.) 6:24 - Jaclyn Smith for the 1975 Pontiac Le Mans. 11:13 - Cathy Rigby for the Florida grapefruit growers. 11:44 - Anita Bryant for Florida orange growers. 17:21 - Joe Ponazecki (Ralph of Sesame Street's Wally & Ralph) for Lavoris. 18:55 - Farrah Fawcett for Wella Balsam shampoo. 24:19 - Bart Starr for Lincoln-Mercury. 28:38 - Tommy Smothers for Del Monte canned pears.
28:23 Carlin Glynn, who played the mom in the movie "16 Candles." 57:14 The unmistakable voice of Joe Sirola. 5:59 & 8:56 John Erwin, another great voice-over talent.
@brentmann2988 I hope you will reply to this Carlin Glynn was the first Miss Mona in the musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas she recently passed away

I think the H & R Block ads eventually got up to 25 reasons by the time the ad campaign ended.
The ‘reason’ this time around seemed particularly weak.
Or by the time he was indicted.
12:43 Alfred Hitchcock and Universal Studios Tour.
I had to look twice because I never expected him to do such a thing. Funny!
