Great video. I've held off on this one, but definitely will put it higher on the priority now. A short, but well-paced experience is always going to be better than a longer, but bloated one, in my opinion.
it's a fine game, and it's cool that it's brazilian, but their overreliance on tropes felt a little bit tired. Also, I didn't like how the combat felt. IMO, Blasphemous does heavy combat better, they're still weight to your movement in Blasphemous, but you don't feel dragging like I did in Elderand. I also didin't like how repetitive and slow some encounters felt. Soundtrack is actually really good, and bosses were fine, even though some of them felt like the best strategy was just face tanking the hits and attacking back. Overall, it felt like a 6.5/10 experience, but still enjoyable.
An average 100% is around the 10 hr. mark if you check the app running time (my steam playtime was 9hrs but save file was 5) because how this game saves is not like blasphemous where save file and in games is almost 1:1.
the reason why you felt the game longer was because that timer doesn't count your deaths, let say you save, and then fight 10 times a boss (lets asume 3 minutes per fight) you beat the boss, then save, the game will only count 3 minutes instead of 30.
Your coverage was really cool. Thanks!

It's not gonna blow your mind, but it's pretty good for what it is. A good lazy weekend game, for sure.
@@MetroidvaniaGuru I mean I've played Gato Roboto 3 times, so yeah. I filed it in the same category based on your video which is a plus in my opinion.
me and my brother picked this up randomly for our switch and now we are disscussing best way to beat arena in sub 1 min
I'm so happy Elderand getting more positive reviews. I love it and after launch it seemed like so many people dragged for no apparent real reason.
Great review! Like being Buck Rogers shot in to space! OK I've just ordered this now. Cheers! 🍻
This game is awesome.

Just picked this up for 7 dollars figure I'll play it on my lunch break
If you take a REALLY long lunch, you might even finish it 😆
@@MetroidvaniaGuru lunch was 2 an a half hours got a great feel for it lol.

That makes sense.
Im still waiting for the sound of footsteps in this game...
I love going all strength and no mana.
Literally the only way to go 😎
