Love the humour. Great options. So what CAN I do? Join the Facebook group and don't have a cigarette for the first hour I get up tomorrow morning. Go to the cashpoint and withdraw a £10 note and see how long I can hold onto it for. Toe in the pool. Just for that hour I will feel everything and get busy.
Biggest mistake I ever made, was to quit smoking. I got fat. I gained 140 pounds. I struggled with diets and exercise but they don't work. I went from a slim 135 pounds to a big fat pot belly 275. That's right, I almost made it to 300. I got kicked out of the navy and lost my retirement. I developed the problems with obesity including severe sleep apnea and diabetes. I had to give up running, water skiing, scuba diving and riding my bike. When women laughed and rejected me to my face for being fat, that was it. I went back to 2 packs a day, and I've already lost about 20 pounds. I expect to have to smoke for 2 or 3 years before all my weight finally comes off. If I must choose between being a slim smoker or a fat nonsmoker, then I'll take the slim, any day.
I like the idea of dropping a cigarette during a routine like with coffee or after dinner. I'm going to try that.
Thank you for being you❤️ You give me so much positive energy when I need it 🙏
