preservative is needed to make it last, if there is any water in that it can go bad quickly. i made one a few years back, it molded. so im going and have made some with crushed dried rose petatls. turned out great. Love the jar you have chosen. let us know how yours turns out!

Fractionated coconut oil and jojoba work great, if your heating to make infused oil for the liquid coconut it doesn't have the fat and can burn, you cannot leave unattended it'll burn :0(

@@cynthiaallen8657 make sure to filter, sometimes any remaining matter can cause it to go bad, although if you freeze it...try ice cube tray until frozen the. Put into airtight container this way it can be thawed and used in small portions. I'm saving my aloe in freezer this way so I don't have to add preservatives until I make shampoo or conditioner. You may lose vitamins, dehydrated carrots can help and then only powder when needed then made into something as long as they are stored well they shouldn't go bad....look up recipes some however arent that good but best to find what you like. Oil and water don't blend well so not a good choice without preservative. Hope it helps
It may be worth noting that everyone - if they want should look into making sure that the roses haven't been sprayed with pesticide. I'm also thinking maybe using Organic Coconut oil that doesn't have the smell which I think is called MCT oil - I would suggest some research on the MCT processing first though. Thanks
All coconut oil is organic. What you are looking for is UNREFINED not refined coconut oil. Also, MCT OIL is liquid and does not seem to stain my clothing. It works well for roller balls.

The pink and white roses look attractive in the jar. You could use this on your hands (your skin looks quite dehydrated here, though your nails and cuticles are healthy) :o)

Yes it should work as long as it's liquid at room temperature. Here' where I live it's always a solid at room temperature but if you live in a warmer climate that should work.

an organic rose is one grown without chemicals. It's clean:) I only use my home compost on bushes. Before I had my own roses, if I came across a yard of fragrant roses as I asked permission to pick I'd be sure to know how they were grown. No pesticides, chemical sprays etc.
I agree! I never wash the petals. Let petals dry and put in jar with almond oil. I opened a jar made last year and boy oh boy!!! I asked a couple of people smell a drop on their hands..what do you smell? Roses..that was a winner. The more it sets the better.

Please don't use vegetable oil on your face its not made for your face but cooking... also if you add fresh petals in oil it will go mouldy as flowers have moisture and that will rot in oil and cause bacterial which isn't good for your skin hope this helps please change your recipe if you can

Coconut oil would work the best for this. Avoid vegetable oil as they cause inflammation in the body due to the process of making

I saved my old pickle jars can I use those instead? I don't have jam jars.

Any carrier oil would work (almond, avocado etc), but not vegetable oil. I wouldn't even recommend that for cooking (trans fats).
