  • Per Connection Queue (PCQ) is a queuing discipline that can be used to dynamically equalize or shape traffic for multiple users, using little administration (amzn.to/2NCFg2o). It is possible to divide PCQ scenarios into three major groups: equal bandwidth for a number of users, certain bandwidth equal distribution between users, unknown bandwidth equal distribution between users.
    Mikrotik PCQ Bandwidth Management :
    PCQ was introduced to optimize massive QoS systems, where most of the queues are exactly the same for different sub-streams. For example a sub-stream can be download or upload for one particular client (IP) or connection to server.
    PCQ algorithm is very simple - at first it uses selected classifiers to distinguish one sub-stream from another, then applies individual FIFO queue size and limitation on every sub-stream, then groups all sub-streams together and applies global queue size and limitation.
    PCQ parameters:
    pcq-classifier (dst-address | dst-port | src-address | src-port; default: "") : selection of sub-stream identifiers
    pcq-rate (number) : maximal available data rate of each sub-steam
    pcq-limit (number) : queue size of single sub-stream (in KiB)
    pcq-total-limit (number) : maximum amount of queued data in all sub-streams (in KiB)

    Hi, excellent guide, I tested it by setting a limit with download at 2mbps and two clients connected and Auto speed tester in download for 30 ", but checking the traffic I see that on the wan port it does not level at 2mbps but doubles them at 4mbps, regards

    Hi, thanks for the video, in this case you dont limit the upload, so PCQ_upload Rule have pcq_rate=0 is this rule the optimun?, or is it recomended to apply limit in the upload too? sorry for the poor english and thanks in advance

    What if I want to queue traffic coming from all interfaces considered LAN?, eg: ether2, etherN, wlan1, etc

      You can do by make bridging all those interfaces

    Can you limit more than 10mbps? E.G if a client wants 20mbps is it possible to limit with a mikrotik router... Only a maximum of 10mbps limit is shown

      PCQ bandwidth management system equally divide assigned
      bandwidth to all concurrent user.
      Assigned bandwidth can be less or equal to available total
      bandwidth.
      It is not possible to assign someone different bandwidth in a pcq . For that you have to create another queue.

    Hola soy de Cuba y quisiera saber como puedo obtener la licencia de level 4 de mi mikrotik RouterBOARD LHG 5nD pero no tengo como pagar al no tener tergeta de banco que piden en la pagina del mikrotik puede aver otra manera de pagarlo atravez de otra perzona que tengo que hacer como me pueden ayudar
