    Awesome, I thought I was going to have to take a lot more apart to get around the insulation. Cutting through it will be a lot easier.

    Different model than shown. Similar design, different element... 3 screws on the lower/bottom, instead of 2.
    Pretty straightforward except for the removal/replacement screws in the heating element. I had to prop it up on each side, to line it up. Almost like the base recessed in the bottom after initial removal. That definitely took me a long time, replacing those 2 screws. Seemed much easier and quicker with your model. However, everything else was pretty much on point. Preheated the oven, and it seems to be working. Touched a crayon to the outer edge of the bottom and it melted. Before, I could touch it with my bare hand and it wasn't hot. So, that was at least a positive sign. No, I didn't try that with my hand to confirm. I chickened out. Not that hardcore, I suppose. Lol.
    Thank you so much for this video!! Hoping that I don't have to do this again for a very long time.

    I have a NE59J7630SG. Broil works. I turn to bake, say 350 -400. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it won't heat past 175 ( as indicated on the reading, but it feels cooler). I replaced the temp sensor, but it still has the same issue. What else could it be? What are the odds I got a bad temp sensor when I bought the new one?

    I have nearly this exact model. My upper element burned out so I replaced it. but the oven still won't heat. my temp sensor tests ok according to your video on that. My lower element never tests above 110 v when I turn it on but I do have 240 at the outlet. where do I go from here?

    I have a samsung oven with the exact same configuration as the oven in this video. The broiler element recently quit while preheating. I decided to check the voltage at each element during the preheat process. The top element is reading a solid 240v. The bottom element is only reading 45v. Is it broken, or is this just part of the preheat procedure? Thanks.

    • @devingoodlet5760
      @devingoodlet5760 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bottom and top element cycle back and forth during preheat and the voltage changes accordingly. It will start at 45v and then climb to 240v after half a minute or so.

    Is it possible the insulation is asbestos based since it has to have incredibly strong heat resistance properties being right on a bake element? This is real concern in stoves that are extremely old, but what could they be using that can take that much heat and not be asbestos?

    The replacement bake element is not sliding in easy. When I look in the slot passed the installation I see 3 metal clips right - center - left that look to be blocking the element from sliding in .I think when the old element was removed it caused these three clips to lift up? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    • @italvito
      @italvito 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@codieabbott I was able to use a long screw driver to slide in the opening to put pressure on those three clips to flatten them. Once they were flat, the element slid in easily. Make sure to use a flashlight to see the clips.

  • @karavasnick

    I replaced the baking element and the oven worked for 1 day. It is now again not heating past 175 degrees. Any thoughts on what may be the cause? Why would the oven work once upon replacement and then fail again?

  • @MrNinjagofan
    @MrNinjagofan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, I think your video shows the replacement of heating element for the heated drawer. The baking element (at least for my oven) is the one at the top, used to broil.

    • @bakechef781
      @bakechef781 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No, that is the bottom element, Samsung along with many other brands offer a hidden element for extra space and easy cleaning. When your oven preheats the top broiler element comes on to speed the process, once preheated, it turns off and doesn't come on again.

    • @michaelgasperik4319
      @michaelgasperik4319 ปีที่แล้ว

      This series of samsung ovens do not have a "heated drawer" this is definitely the bake element.

  • @nickpolites3208
    @nickpolites3208 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What happens if that element breaks? How are you going to get all of the pieces out? I don't like how they have been designing these instead of a cover inside the oven.
