  • Editing this made me sad because my baby isn't this small anymore! I loved watching these videos when I was pregnant so I hope you love this one too :)
To clarify, my baby is drinking my pumped breast milk from the bottle so that we can see exactly how much milk he is drinking per feed. He needs to gain enough weight since he was born premature!

Pumping for 25-30 min will help also pumping every 2 hours vs 3 hours in addition to latching EVERY time. I went through a similar situation as you and when I did this and one power pump a day I upped my supply was able to create a stash and feed my friends baby also. And exclusively breastfed I was determined but you can do this!
Hydration, calories, latching and pumping consistently and power pumping and trying not to stress about it. You got this I love watching your journey! Thanks for sharing!
Oh.. maybe give him a smaller bottle so he’s not getting as much air could be a reason for all of the grunting. Trapped air.

Thank you so much for your uploads. They are so comforting. I’m going through a high risk pregnancy and is likely to give birth prematurely so these videos are so reassuring. You’re doing great!!!❤

The thing is breastfeeding is a demand- output game. The more you breastfeed/pump, the more demand of milk and the more you will produce.

Pleaseeee pump for 30 minutes! I made a whole TikTok on the difference in my output for 15, 30, and 45 minutes. 15 min was 3.5 oz, 30 min was 5.5 oz, and 45 min was 6.5 oz! Try it next time, I never pump for less than 30 minutes. AND I’m Asian! 😂

How do you pump with baby awake? It's so hard for me because my baby wants to be held all the time and I can only pump when she's sleeping or when my husband is around. Also my pediatrician said that the baby acne is from our hormones and should clear up on its own eventually. I found that wiping her face with a damp washcloth and then applying breast milk helped clear her baby acne.

Yes the baby acne cleared after a few days! It was pretty quick actually😊
Its definitely harder to pump when he’s awake. Sometimes he will lay next to me and let me pump (I’ll entertain him with a rattle or literally anything next to me and hope he focuses on it 🤣) but most of the time he will scream if he’s not being held haha so then my husband has to hold him while I pump! Or I have to wait until he’s asleep. You’re doing great mama!🤍

Did you have a chance to breastmilk ? From my understanding you are breastfeeding and wanted to get your advise .I have my baby in 35 weeks and they told me to bottle feed and pump. Now my nipples are so sour because of pump and I am trying to put him to my breast , but too much pain and he is not really happy ☹️ thank you !

When my baby was 1.5 months we fully did breastfeeding and I would pump once in the morning and once at night to create a stash. My nipples were in so much pain but it goes away after a while!😅

You probably have a really clogged duct that’s why it’s painful?

These videos are so focused on pumping. Why? Put the little one on the boob. You both need that skin to skin connection for health benefits, physically, mentally benefits you both and it stimulates milk production, enough for him. There is no need to pump and feed via bottle when he has the source right there. You monitor his input with how many diapers he soils/wets and weight gain if you are worried about how much he is getting in. If he's dry all day long he's not getting enough which doesn't seem like that's the case. The little one has a good appetite ❤

Because he was a preemie, the doctors wanted me to pump and feed him the bottle so we know exactly how many ounces he was drinking. So that he could gain more weight. Yes ofc I was also breastfeeding him too! And now that he’s older, we exclusively breastfeed and he’s doing great 🥰🤍
