Character Analyses playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLVYSdObKcnDIaQFpxqDm3yYir4S5coxAN.html Just after recording this video I saw a list of features for the book and it seems most of the text stories from the game will be in the book. Great news! Still hoping for behind-the-scenes information.
As an EU player that can't read Japanese I'll do my best to get a copy. NieR Reincarnation is my favourite NieR title and here's to the memories and to you Cabbage for persevering The Cage
Yeah, I would like that Yoko Taro insight. This item added to my list for quests / Treasure hunt 😄 will have to see how big this book is before I probably ask someone if they can ship for me
I'm pra-ying for an english version. Regardless already ordering mine just because I'm not sure how much are Rein things going to be replenished in the shelves. Thanks for the breakdown, mate.
Personally I'd like to see something on what happened to Yuzuki after his Dark Memory story, lore-wise according to Automata's World Guide the final Red Eye died in 2030, Jerusalem by Kainé's grandparents Hamelin squad, but was it Yuzuki? The Dark Memory places his story in 2028, I wonder if he lived that long enough to be the last one, that would be so amazing instead of just so random Red Eye we will never know about
If I find this at any of the conventions I'll be going to in the future, I'll definitely be picking it up. Thanks for the headsup to be on the lookout o7
Cabbage the point you make regarding how people view mobile games is currently being seen with FF7 too! It sucks that ppl view mobile games so negatively. Ever Crisis has an exclusive storyline with Sephiroth when he’s 14/15 and it’s all been pretty good so far and it seems as though it’s going to line up with part 3 of Remake trilogy, yet people are writing it off bc it’s a “mobile gacha game”. I think it’s unfortunate bc Ever Crisis is actually fun and the storyline is good, but what can I do, bloop.
Didn't know this was coming out, gonna have to save some money to get it. I agree with pretty much every expectation you list out for what I'd want...this game had beautiful art and costume designs along with amazing music, so plenty Square could do that lots of people would be happy to purchase
I hope they have all the cut story content. It's like there was so much more. Safara and Yudil had so much potential. They were like the anti Fio and Levania in that they were toxic.
@cabbagechannel7874 i meant that Sarafa and Yudil with the flip of Levania and Fio. Not that Fio and Levania were toxic. Maybe a little at the beginning with the body swap but they work to fix that. It's the opposite of Yudil and Sarafa who never try to fix any of it. The gender roles are reversed to in that Yudil seems out of his depth and Sarafa seems ready for that world. It seemed like there was multiple rhyming pairs of characters in the game but those 2 felt the closest to being polar opposite mirrors
Third comment! Yeah I shouldn't, but keeping them separate is easier than just editing a single comment to book length.... Anyway! I think a lot of the looking down on mobile games is because damn near all of them are designed with Spend Money! Spend Money! Spend Money! Look, our characters are mostly girls with ridiclous and revealing costumes and improbable curves! So spend money! I mean I get it, servers and development and whatnot cost money and companies want to earn a profit. But most mobile games are super predatory and then shut down if they aren't making excessive amounts of cash every month. Which is a shame because there are games out there that are designed to be fun, or to have great stories or art or music or all of the above. Reincarnation is an excellent example....from the metrics of the industry it was a failure since it didn't bring in massive amounts of cash compared to it's cost...but it was a fun game with a great story and art and music and whatnot.

My pleasure! These days the auto-translate with mobile phone photography is so good that the Japanese shouldn’t be a big barrier

It sounds like a brick!

Great point! Totally forgot about the possibilities brought up by Hina and Yuzuki’s DM stories, I also hope they expand on those

Good idea! I will be checking used bookstores, I’ll pick up any I see

Exactly. Part of the reason I didn’t pick up FF7 EC was because I knew I was going to have these same old conversations
@ Yeah, I don’t blame you!

Got it. I always had an idea to look more closely at Yudil and Sarafa in a video!
I saw one site pre-selling it but will this book be all in japanese?
Seems so. But taking photos of pages and having them auto-translated should be workable
