we rescued our tortie from a gas station when she was just a baby. She is 4 now and is living her best life!!!! we love our Cleo!
My tortie is also named Cleo! ❤
We named our tortie Cleo, too! My friend found her alone as a kitten on a bridge, while driving home from our house one night (my friend lives a few towns away).
He called me up and asked if I wanted a free cat, and I said sure, bring her on over. She's been my best friend for 12 years, now 😁
Yeah cool name bro I named my cat Salem and she is also is living her best life and she wants constant attention and she is good at setting boundaries
BEAUTIFUL EYES FACE SMILE GORGEOUS FACE GORGEOUS FACE GORGEOUS FACE GORGEOUS FACE GORGEOUS FACE ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My beloved tortoiseshell cat ginger was the best cat I've ever known and when she died, a part of me was taken. She was loving, fierce, highly dangerous and intelligent. I miss her everyday. Tortoiseshell for life
Wow, what a coincidence. my cat is a tortoiseshell named Ginger as well. She’s been there through the good and hard times…I’m sure Ginger impacted your life a lot but remember you helped her as much as she helped you. My condolences 💕
My tortie cat died last year. She was killed by neighbouring dog.
My tortie, Caramel , is so super sweet to me but gets easily annoyed by her big sister when they play, she acts so dramatic it's pretty funny at times. She is also the most chatty cat I have ever owned. She has a large vocabulary. 😅 I almost always know what she wants when she "talks" . She is so special. 😻
I talk to my cats everyday and they talk back to me. It might seem weird to some people but we have fun and they r all family to me.
I recently adopted a Torti kitten (now 6 months), she's very playful, and she's never hissed or swatted. She does a cute cry when I cuddle her likes it's the end of the world (as payment of rent), and she instantly starts playing as soon as I let her go. She has a big brother, a black British short-hair around 4 -5 years old. Both get along, she actually bothers him with play a lot and he just wants to relax, but they will play, hang out and eat together.
Very interesting! My very first cat was a calico named Sam. She was a very sweet cat didn't realize torti and Calico were the same..she was tolerant with kids but not dogs. I will always have a special fondness for them. ❤
I've had 2 tortoiseshell cats and I can tell a difference in their personalities compared to all the other cats I've had. They're so smart and they definitely have attitude. And they're just a bit more goofy than other cats. Every orange cat I've had has been more needy and very loving. And my striped little tiger cats are the best hunters. But I think their personality is dependent on the people they live with too.
We presently have 2 black cats. 1 male named darth Vader and 1 female named Wednesday lucy. They definitely are both some very smart and loyal cats. Years ago we had a torbie cat and she definitely had a attitude. Did not like to be held, only pet when you got her in a ok mood, fussy eater, only really liked ur other cat at the time and a white and black cat we named o bey one. He was a great cat, miss him. We loved blossom but it’s very hard to bond with a cat like she was. We just had a understanding with her , she would like to be near us but not pet much at all or held. Strangest cat we ever had
Yep...my grey tiger stripe Striper is just amazing chasing the laser toy.
He was a feral kitten I rescued in a colony of 21. The sweetest of all and I HAD to keep him....indoor only and he dosent miss the cruel outdoors now.
Jazzie is my tortie! Shes my first cat, adopted her from the shelter back in 2013. She's 10 now and is the sweetest and most laid back cat I've ever met! She loves belly rubs, naps, following me around, having "conversations", and hunting her toys. She also loves to give lots of kisses lol. I think the only time I ever see any form of "tortitude" is when she sees another cat, idk what happened to her when she was a stray but she HATES other cats, she's cool with dogs though lol.
Every Tortie I've had were top notch hunters. Two of them had completely clueless brothers who would stare at a mouse. Miss Kitty, one of the ones w/clueless brothers, came out of the garage looking like she was big enough to have kittens. She was spayed, so I knew she had a good hunt! Doing her pest control job!
My Tortie has only shown anger once, and that was when I let the neighbor's cat come in. She hissed at the other cat. I've had her for about 15 years since she was 4 months old.
I have a theory : Calicos are so determined knowing exactly what they want when they want it because all the indecision in their lives took place in the womb. They didn't know which colour they wanted to be and so they picked all three. ❤😼
I'm trying to figure you out bro, you have playlists debunking EVERYTHING. What are you, one of them Pyrrhonists? ;)
@@HighlyVolkish I compiled those playlists about a year or more back. I was sparring with dogmatists online as a form of therapy for myself. I'm not angry anymore. This world is moving to a new plane of existence. Everything will sort itself out. 😎
@@extemporaneous4545 fun stuff. Surf the Kali Yuga and all that
@@HighlyVolkish The Kali Yuga is over, dude. It ended at the Winter Solstice of 2020. We're now in the Sandhi Kaal (in between time/shadow period) between the Kali Yuga and the next Yuga. What that is is still up for debate. Is it the Satyug, or is it the upward cycle of Dwarpayug? Anyway, it's going to be a whole lot better than Kalyug, that's for sure.
@@extemporaneous4545 this is great news! I hope aliens are involved.
My mom had a torti named Sadie. Sadie was part of a litter that just happened after I helped my mom adopt a stray named Sammy, none of us knew Sammy was pregnant until my parents took her in. Sadie definitely had tortitude and she outlived her other sibling, Squeaks who was born with her, she outlived him by about a year. Sadie was an impressive cat, so chill but capable of athletic feats you'd swear she would never be capable of.
Me and my elderly roommate just adopted a tortie female (approx 10-12 months old) from our local no-kill shelter called Safe Harbor. I’ve had cats most of my life from the time I was born, but this is the first time I’ve had a Tort, and I love it! We lost our young grey tabby Tobias(Toby), June 20th 2023 due to a sudden and severe onset of spinal cancer. We had a orange female tabby 2 years of age that was acting kind of freaked out by the loss of her brother-though not biologically-that me and the roomie decided sooner, rather than later, we had better look for a “buddy” for our LucyJune. That’s how we ended up with our Suki! She is our precious little Tortie-girl!!! She had just gotten her last baby off of her(yes I said baby), when we came in to the shelter. She was the first one I saw, then we looked at EVERY OTHER CAT there, and over an hour later, when I turned to the lady Monica that ran the shelter and asked “What about that tortie we saw when we first walked in, is she available for adoption?” The rest is Tortie history. She is the sweetest little 8 lbs of nothin’ you’d ever meet. Our Lucy isn’t warming up as fast as we’d like and it’s been 3 weeks, but we have caught them on the loveseat only two feet from one another napping, so maybe there is hope yet? In the meantime my roommate and I are absolutely over the moon about our Suki-which in Japanese means “fortunate one”. We liked the name the shelter gave her so we kept it. Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next 😻❤️😻❤️
I give my tortie credit, she brought her little baby orange kitty to my yard three years ago, and has proven to be a good mama.
I have seven cats, all rescues and they're all so different. 🤣
My Zoe definitely has tortitude, she loves to hunt and show off for me, she’s not into snuggling at all, but shows affection when she feels like it. She’s the best.
Thank you for sharing the photos of my beautiful Psycho Kitty! ❤ 😻 I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks she's gorgeous!
Aww, thank you!!
Our Tortie is half Siamese and half not known black fur with orange and white patches and is the friendliest little cat I have ever seen when I stop petting her to do work she follows me until I pet her again lol.
My tortie was dropped off on my patio by her feral all black male Daddy. Vet said she was about 4-5weeks old. Her face looks just like him. My question is who could be her Mother? I've never seen a feral tortie around and only 1 other feral ginger that I'm assuming is a male. The following spring he showed up with an all black female very young and pregnant. Could she be the tortie's sister? She had 2 all black kittens and the whole family of 4 spent the entire summer here hunting in the woods and also me feeding them. I ended up bringing Momma and 2 kittens inside joining the tortie. YES! 4 females all related to the feral black male... one big happy family. We have a lot of all black cats still to this day in the neighborhood. He was too smart for the TNR trap.
And yes it's true my tortie has a spicy, on her terms always attitude. Tortitude is real 🐈🖤🐈⬛
My tortoiseshell cat was Very vocal when she wanted you to follow her or tell you something [you had to figure it out], she was at times very independent you may not see her for hours because she wanted to be alone, she was affectionate at times but most of the time she was fine alone. Basically, she expected you to do her bidding at whatever time she wanted something from you.
Not sure I'd say every cat has tortitude. I'd say my tortie is so incredibly sweet and sensitive. She wants as much attention and cuddles as you're willing to give, and minds well when you tell her no. If one of my other cats is upset (like accidentally shut in a room) she comes running like she's concerned. I really love torties.
Thank you for including Gravy in your video! When I adopted her I was fully prepared to experience the tortitude that I heard so much about, but Gravy is a total sweetie-pie! She always asks for pets and playtime and surprisingly doesn't claw and hiss when you do pet her. She does hate one of our cats for absolutely no reason so maybe that's the tortitude!
Gravy is utterly adorable!
Every time Gravy came on the screen I said what gorgeous markings.
I love my tortie as well, even when she swats me ❤
My kitten has a similar pattern to Gravy and is super sweet too, I'm wondering if the more brindled calicos are nicer.
I know a lighter calico and she is mean hahaha
I have a calico cat that I rescued off the streets in the Dominican Republic and yes, catitude is real!
I had a black cat for 18 years - very different personality
Great video! I was lucky to have a male tortie, he was sweet but dumb as a stone. Everybody including all our other critters adored Donald. He sadly passed at 2 yrs unknown why. His most interesting physical feature was a perfect ginger cross on his forehead.
We currently have two 14 yr old tortie sisters. They were actual wombmates, born feral, and they despise each other and always have. Pippie is pretty sweet to humans in general, but miserable to our big ginger male. Throws tatrums if shes not let out. Broke her leg trying to get out of the recovery cage after her spay. She has always been slender. Her sister CooBear is good with other critters tolerates most humans, has weird fears, like being afraid of the wind. She's very active but is very chunky. The girls are lovely with very mottled coats.
Tortitude is a real thing, both girls will scold you if you did not anticipate their desires quickly enough. We have adored both of them and their antics since we found them at 4 weeks old.
Just got a torti kitten in December (she’s now 4 months) she’s extremely social, loves to be loved and she loves to love as well, she’s super playful (obviously she’s but a lass) and she’s definitely has a swagger to her. Her older Sister is a gray tabby that is 2 years old, they didn’t get along for the first 2 days but thankfully she now mothers her and keeps her busy. The difference in attitudes are black and white, my tabby like to keep to herself but randomly chills with me. My torti on the other hand DOES NOT leave my side. She gets along great with my dogs too. All cats are different, with different needs and attitudes and I really don’t think the color of their fur has anything to do with that. Just love your baby
i love my tortoiseshell's personality so much. she LOVES attention and pretty much always wants it but similar to what you said they are communicators and when she doesn't want your attention she will let you know. she's my baby.
I rescued two siblings. A orange male and a calico face/tortoise body female. Both are very affectionate with no attitude issues. when they sleep they have to be touching each other. She’s also very vocal, she trills whenever she sees someone like she’s saying hi
I have a tortie-tabby girl. She's incredibly fearful, skittish and shy because she went through horrible abuse before being abandoned and then rescued when she got desperate enough to reach out to us for help because she was starved almost to literal death. She's so timid and meek, but she's so particular about her boundaries even when no fear is involved, or sometimes in spite of her fear. But she never ever growls, hisses or gets aggressive with us; but she often has to with her brothers. She's SO much smarter than our two rescued boy cats, and she knows it. She's also a perfectly well behaved little angel who never causes shenanigans, unlike her brothers who often make me resort to the squirt bottle that I hate using. I wish her brothers would catch on and learn from observing her that they'd get more treats and less squirt bottle if they'd behave.
My Tortie girl is feisty, demanding, courageous, friendly, loves people, finicky, and jumps on my calves as I walk away after wiping her down or brushing her. 😻 She doesn’t claw or bite me. Just paws and toe beans.
You did a great job on this video! It’s so cool people got to chip in make their babies famous xD.
On my block there’s a calico cat named Mocha, who we all love to pet and give treats to. Her caretaker passed away a few years ago but we still take her to the vet for her checkups and she’s always so well behaved! She pretty much runs the neighborhood and is responsible for us all knowing one another :)
My tortie is named Moriah who is 7 years old. And yes tortitude is alive and thriving in her
We have a 4 year old dilute calico. As she ages, she gets more and more chatty and demanding. She has never liked other cats and generally thinks the whole house and every property in the neighborhood that she feels like wandering to is hers. She's kind of an asshole, but we love her. Thus far her 'tude has been deemed charming by others. ❤
My tortie, Joujou, was a feral kitten and nobody wanted her.
I adopted..For almost two years she was still feral. More recently she come next to me in bed at night when it is dark and no other pets are around. She now enjoy being petted, and she
Just started showing me her belly. Very unique personality I think because she was feral. She always walk on the ground, not jumping up at all. A gorgeous colours and she is very fluffy.
I had a tortie named Tulip. She was medium brown. I loved her so much.
I love torties! I have two 13 year old torties that I’ve had since they were 8 weeks old
It's so true! I have a tortoiseshell cat and she definitely is different than any other cat I've ever had.
My mom found my Peanut at the barn she kept her horse, when she was just a little baby. Got brought home and decided I was her person. Been going on 5 years and she still acts like my baby.
My tortoise shell hisses ALL the time at my other cat if she even walks within 2 feet of her. But, she has never hissed at any human.
We have 4 male cats and we have a very classy and sassy female torticat named Callie! She knows that she's the queen in our household. She's very chatty and she'll lay down and pose with her front legs crossed. We have a younger female black cat named Lily, she's our princess since the queen role is already taken. Lol
We love our 6 cats so much.
❤😺😺😺😺😺😺❤️
P.S. our female torticat and her 2 gingercat brothers just came to us one day and all 3 siblings are so happy being together as they get older! ❤
OMG, I had a tortie named "Sweetie Pi" ("Pi" not "Pie" because she was very calculating lol) who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2017 after almost 19 years of tortitude spend with me (I adopted her as a kitten). I had Sweetie Pi with Honey Bun, a tabby-tortie who passed away in 2018. I found Honey Bun dead literally 1 foot away from the location on the bedroom carpet where Sweetie Pi had died, posed in the same way as Sweetie Pi was found. To this day, I believe that Honey Bun had died of a broken heart 8 months after seeing her BFF dead and no longer in the house. Broken Heart Syndrome is real, both in humans and animals. I currently have a brown tabby and another tabby-tortie. Including my 2 current cats, 4 of my past 6 cats have been female tabby-torties, 1 female tortie, and 1 male tabby. My current tabby-tortie and tabby-tortie Honey Bun are the two most lovable affectionate cats I ever had in 4 decades. Tortitude *IS* real. Tabby-tortie dilutes that stubborn grumpy tortitude, adding in tabby-ness while still being feisty, vocal, and stubborn, and that is my favorite kind of tortitude-catitude personality!
I remember a book published about fifty years ago:
_HOW TO LIVE WITH A CALCULATING CAT_
Sequel was
_HOW TO LIVE WITH A NEUROTIC DOG_
@@5610winston Yes indeed! *ALL* cats are calculating to some degree. My previous tortie Sweetie Pi was infinitely calculating, just like the value of pi is a decimal approximation of a number that goes on forever, without ever repeating in its decimal sequence of numbers. And just like the value of pi is an irrational number, my Sweetie Pi was also highly irrational and highly unpredictable lol
@@jljljljljljljljljljljljljljljl _IRRATIONAL_ had occurred to me, sort of like my first pit bull mix Doggerel. She was poetry in motion.
Ive had 3 Torties and they are not only smarter than others...
they could pick up my thoughts and come to me when I think about them! Even after being in another downstars room for hours. Happened dozens of times and was so strange, freaky and
proof of our connection of thoughts.
Thank you. I love my Torti.
I have four torti queens and two torti kittens. They’re beautiful, expressive and caring. Also , they are very clear with their attitude. My tortie doesn’t like kids or children to the extent that she will prefer to share a room with aggressive GSD. They’re a strong and brave!!!
Thank you for using Yuki's pictures! And absolutely love the video!
Tulip's gentle tones in her coat make her look so elegant, graceful, serene and mature. Gorgeous!
I have owned a tortie called Nora-Lou since she was 3 years old. She's small, beautiful and fiesty. But as she's got older, she's 12 years old now, and she has become increasingly neurotic. I had a neighbour who also had a tortie female cat, and she said the same about her cat.
Neurotic in what sense?
She came a year ago. A little bitty hiss & spit! I’ve had cats all my life and she is different! She is feisty & fun and can be very affectionate but on her terms only! Lovely cat!
My Tortie died at 7 years old, she had a unique personality but was such an awesome kitty, miss her so much.
Thank You for including my Tortie Ariel from Italy ❤️🇮🇹❤️
1 minute in a you described my beloved brownie😂
My tortie, Penelope (Penny) definitely has a unique personality
Stena is a mystery and was a rescued kitten. She came into my life quite by surprise. I fell in love with her at first sight and she is like no other cat. She definitely has her little temper, she is very sweet and loving, but she's determined and does as she pleases beasically... She is unique in every way and I feel so blessed to have her in my life!
Brings back memories of my rescue litter affectionately known as the Nina's, 3 torties and a calico, doubled the cat census in our household over night!! Miss them all so much.
Torties are so beautiful and yes love their personalities
I had a tortie named Pistol because when I got her, she had a parasite in her neck (something like a botfly) and when we took her to the vet, we heard a huge yowl from the back and the vet saying "Man, you are quite the pistol, aren't ya?" and that's how she got her name.
She loved me, and our neighbors when they would leave out food, but she did not like the rest of the family or strangers and wouldn't allow them to pick her up. She almost bit someone and I had to go get her and put her outside, which everyone was shocked that she allowed me to handle her.
Pretty sure my grandmother had two torti sisters. I was really young and the cats (obviously) did not enjoy the company of screaming children. I knew not to pull tails or rough with them. . . but it was not enough for them. Which is fine. . .pretty sure one of those gals was the only creature to ever scare one of my mom's german shepherds. He was always wary going into that house after she scared him once.
Oddly enough, my female grey tabby has more attitude than any other cat I've had. I have to sedate her just to trim her nails or get her annual vaccines done. One calico I had as a kid didn't have major attitude, but was very "regal" and didn't want to be picked up or pet much. It was an honor when she chose to join you on the couch for a 10 minute pet session. Tortie after that was more like a toddler than a cat, always wanting attention and would drape herself over me, loved being held and walked around the house. She was a very weird cat in that way. Current calico, like the first, does not like being picked up much, but is the sweetest thing otherwise and seeks out pets multiple times a day and just wants to play all the time. She is also very much so a "no thoughts, head empty" cat. I joke that with her orange patches she inherited the orange cat single brain cell.
Lol. I guess they forgot to inform her that with a attitude like that she was supposed to be born calico or tortie
@@kathleengivant-taylor2277 she breaks all the rules, including stealing the tortitude for herself!
@@AquilaCat she definitely sounds like a hand full like my blossom the torbie I had
I have a tortoiseshell named Fudge. She is FIRE!! The smallest of my three pets-a dog and two cats, including Fudge- and she is the Alpha. Fudge even puffed up her tail at an aggressive Pit Bull.
One of my 6 month of kitten is a cream polydactyl colorpoint but appears to have tortie markings on her face and paw with black and a little bit of orange. She is absolutely the sweetest kitten.
I had siblings Spike and Daisy. Spike was basically "reverse skunk." Yup, white with gray stripe down his back with a mood ring of sorts with his pink nose. His sister was a tortie: incredibly sweet and adventurous. She was the grayish variety, topped off with brownish-orange "eyebrows," that gave her a surprised look on her face. In this case, we were able to meet the parents. Dad was a grayish long-haired tabby. He only came around when he needed food or something. Mom was a very patient calico. Spike actually had a lot of her physical attributes.
Absolutely loved this informative video on tortoiseshells! It's fantastic to see precious Tulip being featured along with all the other cute Torties! Thank you for creating videos for us cat lovers. 🐱💕
Thank you so much for sharing!
I love my Tortie , Jen 10 years old but full of life and always begging for food. Likes to cuddle and can even do some tricks like come, sit ,stay , spin and paw.
I rescued my first Tortoiseshell four years ago. She is the liveliest, most expressive, assertive, and smart cat I’ve had. She loves her time with her human slaves but also likes her independence. I’ve never had a cat that will ask to wrestle my hand with an oven mitt. If I’m in the kitchen and she wants to play, she jumps in the air and swats my butt. She likes hide and seek with jump scares. In comparison to the other cats I’ve had, Tortitude is real. What a character!
My Tortie is named Sweetie Pie!! She's super feisty. Just yesterday I built her a cat fortress out of some long cardboard boxes, a blanket, and a standard cat shelter/scratch post she hardly used until now. Her behavior improved. She's super happy with the fort and she stopped stealing my chair and fighting me for it. ❤
Rip sweetie pie.
OMMMMMGGG!!! BUMBLEBEE LOOKS LIKE THE SPITTING IMAGE OF MY TORBIE BABY AND HER MOM IS A DILUTE/BLUE NOT A BLACK TORTIE LIKE TURTLE!!!
loved all the pictures and videos of viewers torties!
I have a tortie. She's very fiesty. I'm the only human she seems to like. When it's just me and my cats, she's a sweetie most of the time. She does start being really sweet if I'm sick and someone is helping me. She'll start being sweet to that person. Until I'm well, then she's back to hissing
Thank you very much for posting these videos!
Thank you, Charles.
My Persian longhair tortis only loves me but she tolerates certain people. She is a good judge of character and protects me from bad intentional people.
I don't understand the part that they are more temperamental as I find them super sweet
So interesting! Love this series. Will you be doing an episode on Siamese cats? I'd be interested as I'm thinking of getting a Siamese as I hear they are better for allergies sufferers. Thanks for all your research & hard work!! Cheers Maggie from California 😎 🐈
I had a female torti come up in my yard one time and she was absolutely sweet and friendly yet she supposedly had been dumped out by someone. I named her Precious and she would come up to me on the porch when I felt bad and she would tap me with her paw and rub her tail against me and everything...god I miss that cat I never knew what happened to her she disappeared a long while later
We have a 14 week old tortie, crazy, energetic, loving, purr machine. She is super playful, loves to antagonize our laid back tabby. But they groom each other and cuddle during the nap times. Love Buttercup to pieces.
I had the world's sweetest calico kitty. A little smarty pants, too.
I have 3 tortis. They are all sweet. 2 of them are formal feral and they have distinct personalities like all cats. Maggie is sweet and gentle.
Love your videos & your respect for all cats.
I found two TWO week old kittens in my backyard one night. Some horrible person must have thrown them over the fence. I bottle fed them, etc. and they are now two years old. They are sisters, probably lol One is all gray and the other is a tortie. Yes there is a difference. Abbey, the tortie, is much more clingy and demanding and when I hear a crash, it is usually her doing LOL Don't get me wrong, she is sweet and even loves belly rubs!! Love my girls! A gift from the Universe!! God said, please take care of these two.
My 5 year-old torbie Reese’s is very sassy and demanding, but she’s never been aggressive with me, only occasionally with other cats because she prefers to be an only child.
I have a muted or pastel Tortie. Her name is Greysie because she has greys, peaches, and white splattered all over. And she has tortitude.
Thank you for sharing this
My tortie kitten is the sweetest angel on the planet and has never clawed me I have no idea where tortitude comes from.
My dark tortie is an absolute murderous monster, I’ve been to hospital 4 times, antibiotics and once, I had to stay in all week as I had an infection and almost lost my arm. Yep. Almost lost an arm, over a mad cat.
She’s also sweet and cuddly and funny and full of personality, and I’ve had her 14yrs. But the tortitude is real!!!
I have had two calicos who were both absolute sweethearts so gentle and loving, no scratches or mad attacks in 19yrs.
I’ve got a tortie who was a rescue I she found me a couple years ago at my old job I was sitting in my work truck waiting for a load to be ready i heard her meow softly a few times so I looked out saw her sitting on the front tire I said well hello she jumped off the tire went to the door I opened it she jumped in and that was it had her since she’s really sweet with me will nibble on my hands but the second anybody else tried to touch her she is swatting and hissing at them especially if I’m holding her and someone tries to tough her
I have 2 tortoiseshell kittens . Both are very sweet and good natured. Both very different in personality . Lydia is very friendly and loves attention, very cuddly , loves to play and she's also very mischievous always getting into things she shouldn't 😂 mavis is very friendly too but she takes some time to come around to people she's very shy and quite she's not a big fan of affection only let's myself and others pet her on the odd occasion she will currel up on my lap or next to me on the couch but will sometimes get up and lie somewhere else if I start petting her but she dose like a wee pet when she's feeling sleepy. she dose love to play and her and Lydia are the best of friends they love to eat , sleep and play together 😊
I was a bit late to meet Sweetie Pie, but i did get her picture. I did get to meet the other Conrad Mansion cat, but it was his nap time.
Wow! So cool to hear from someone who's been there as well. Thanks for sharing!
My tortie is also named Yuki! Love this video!
I had a tortoiseshell cat for 16 years. She was my baby throughout all my childhood since the moment she was born. Sadly, she had to be put down in 2018 due to several health problems. 😔 I'll always miss her. She also definitely had that torti-tude. 😅
An all grey female born from an all black female. Well that grey cats offspring which were both short and Longhair tabby bred with an orange tabby with one litter had a short and Longhair tortoiseshell the Longhair had a double coat tortoiseshell offspring. And yes all were female. 3 distinct personalities. The lover ,the loner, the psycho happy cat.
My tortie (pictured in my profile picture) has a huge personality. She has clawed me before when I was singing a song that she didn’t like. Otherwise she is very sweet.
I had a calico named Belladonna who used to get up on the back of the couch, lie behind my head and flog me about the ears with her tail if I failed to pet her every five minutes. This can be difficult when you are trying to study!
Aww, Charlie was so excited seeing this ♥️ Thank you~
Oh, and she doesn't have any Tortitude at all but my calico (Jackie) does tho!
Charlie is so cute; thank you for all the wonderful photos and videos.
Thank you for your information very interesting❤❤😊
I got my first tortoiseshell from a calico and a black cat, and then I got my second from a tortoiseshell and a black cat.
I MYSELF love my girls "Tortieish" look . She mostly looks like a Norgie , but a bit of the Tortoiseshell look, she has a Cinnamon - swirl on each side (matching) - even her skin has 2-3 pigmant colors. The caretakers of Roy & Moss said they cant tell which breed she is. my vet says she,s Mainecoon. ( Lily here looks closest to my girl Friendly. )
I have 2 tortie and love them. My black cat has the most attitude of them all
The last time our cat had kittens, one of them was a gorgeous tortoise shell cat. It and two others disappeared. I'm guessing it was the chicken hawk we saw hanging out in our trees. My son and I were very disappointed about its disappearance. He had already named her Sasquatch. Anyway, our momma cat had another litter yesterday. We are hoping for another tortoise shell kitten. 🤞🙏
I believe if a tortie has more than 20% of it's fur is white, it's considered a calico
Cat's DNA cell's of XY male and female Calico Cat are so very similar with Siamese Cat being a Legendary Mankei Neko But unfortunately Legendary Beckoning Cat reminds me of Tortoiseshell Cat DNA cell's LoL who knows
We took in a dilute calico mom and her 6 kittens 19 years ago. 4 were brown tabbies, 1 was orange and 1 was calico. They all had very different personalities. The calico was quite the escape artist and very assertive . We named her Houdini.
She was only cat we've known that could roll her paw into a fist. When she socked another cat, you could hear the crack! She died recently, but on occasion I'd see her outside shocking other cats and slapping squirrels. She had Tortitude😅
Tortoiseshell Cat reminds of regular Meowth also known as the Legendary Mankei Neko and Legendary Beckoning Cat is still a mysteries of mythology culture As well 🤫👀🤯😱
Hello Mallory!!! I’m a huge fan of the channel. I know you guys are always looking for things to review, but can you guys possibly do a review and look into products by cuddles and meow?? They are super popular in ads on TH-cam shorts, but I’ve never seen reviews. They have supplements, but I don’t know much about the safety and quality of them. You do really good and in depth looks at brands, and I am super curious since I will be getting a pet cat soon
I have had many "Torties" in my life and only the very first had this so called tortietude. Scampers was tiny with a HUGE boofy tail that was usually half puffed up. She terrorized my ex, the local dogs and was mad devoted to me. All the other calico girls were incredibly sweet kitty cats. One thing though, given half a chance, they were all world class hunters.
