Them batteries looked good, and the company has a customer surport scheme, all ways good to have in reserve. I love the concept of Solar. For people who live far from power transmission poles as well as it being kinder to the planet or even just not getting stuffed with high bill energy bills It just makes complete sense providing you have the roof space in the right direction or a bit of land or garden. I only wish I had the ability to get some in. A friend of mine has a set on the roof and also the side of his house and can fully charge his electric car. No fuel bills, how cool is that....
Solar panels are amazing for what we have up here, and they absolutely make sense for us. We are researching wind power and seeing if it makes sense, too. We could charge Ola's electric car during the day on very sunny days, and we make amazing power; we are now working on storage and might have to add another charge controller and inverter. Alternative or "green" power still needs some work on how it's made and used, but in our case, we are not off the grid by choice. Running electrical would cost much more money than a high-end solar system, so we are opting out of DIY. Our system so far only costs around 10K instead of 90K, and digging an electrical line would be so much more because it's over 3 miles away. The technology is improving, and what it can do is pretty impressive. We try to be kind to the planet for many things, but we also need some work:) too hahaha

You are such a man-of-trades you should setup a receiver for wifi and become a true millionaire. But in my book you are a millionaire with that wonderful wife and family. Keep up the good work.
Yes we do great with panels at the moment, but our storage still needs some work. This is a good start to hopefully not rely too much on the generator this winter.
We are actually considering it. This year, our weather station shows that we have consistent winds around 30 miles an hour (that qualifies the system to be worth it). The shop/house would benefit from producing power, especially at night. We are still determining how to move on, but we are definitely looking into it.
You were working on a new platform for your solar new the shop at one time but I don’t recall seeing it completed. I remember you running wire for connecting the panels on the pig shed. How many panels are connected now and are you getting more?
We have our original solar panels that are off the hill below the shop and the pig panels. We have more in the storage to put up but just have not yet. The ones that are connected are working great right now, the biggest upgrade we could really use is getting our battery back bulked up and getting another charge controller and inverter. But all those components are extremely expensive so little by little we will get there.
So question with this battery set up in shop can you weld run a battery charger booster etc and not hurt your system i am asking have hope of redoing our system to upgrade
yes, I have no issues running any of those items. My new welder is 220A and works fine even before the battery upgrade. your question is probably more dependent on the quality of the inverter and its ability to supply stable A/C current to the main panel.
Do you have any suggestions on connecting the battery to the app? I fully charged it and can’t seem to get it to connect or show up on Bluetooth. Thanks!
Oh really… No I did not have any issues at all. It was actually quite seamless. Perhaps try resetting you Bluetooth on your device and reopening the app. As soon as I got the app installed, i opened the app and clicked to add a device. It found all 4 of my batteries right away.
They just sent me a new code that will be active on 11-25-2024 at 00:01. The Code is 0505P8BRPY. I will also check it tomorrow and email them if there are any issues. Again, I'm so sorry for any inconvenience.
Glad you got additional battery backup Mark! Great job!

Awesome job , thanks for sharing !!!!! 😊🙏👍❤️
Good afternoon !!!

WOW Marc, that's a BIG upgrade for you guys. Great job. Stay safe you guys
It's good when you can move to 48V batteries. Hopefully we can close out the 12V over time.
don't you have a 48 volt system balancing some times don't work correctly when doing strings with 12 volt batteries
Great move doubling your battery storage capacity

Don't want to be short on power when winter is in full on mode!

Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the info....
Do you think it’s possible to add these to or be charged with the Zendure SuperBase V Power Station?
I don’t know. I’m not familiar with Zendure.
Mark, Being up in the mountains, would you ever thing of a small wind turbine as a secondary power generator for your batteries?

@@MountainMapleRanch Can’t wait to see it if you decide on that!!
So after 2 months how many times has the batteries failed? If it hasn't you are one of the lucky few.
They are still holding on fine for me so far.

@@MountainMapleRanch I just realized I bought the non internal monitor battery oops. Thanks for the reply
The discount code isn't working for me.
I just tried it and it did not work for me as well. I will contact the company and get back to you.
I probably wont hear from the company in a few days but I will keep you updated. Sorry for any hassles

@@MountainMapleRanch FYI, the code still doesn't work on Amazon, eBay, or on their website. I tried everywhere. Where is it supposed to work?
👍
These batteries are poor quality mine failed after 6 months BMS failure! Ecoworthy won't respond to emails.
We will keep an eye on that. That’s not good. We have had ours since September, so far they are working but we will keep that in mind.
