I've had my 2016 XT for 11 months. It's great in the snow. I've had it oil sprayed. I think that I have my motoring needs sorted for the next decade. My previous car was a 2015 WRX. Same engine/turbo. Different tuning and handling. The Forester has a smoother ride and offered more family versatility.
I couldn't agree more! I am actually looking into getting one as a daily. I honestly really fell in love with this car after the test drive. What do you mean exactly when you say "oil sprayed"?
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed the review! Honestly I fell in love with this car. It is such an amazing all around vehicle with tons of creature comforts and tech. I am definitely considering getting one for a daily!
My 14 Forester XT has treated me well during its almost 65k miles. Great fun but I am getting a bit tired of pumping premium gas. Don’t get me wrong though I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
That's awesome to hear! Premium can be a pain since, although it is more efficient in these motors. I believe you technically can use regular 87 grade and the ECU will learn to handle it safely...although I would probably only use this in case of emergency only. I really wish they bring back the XT in the Forester lineup like they did with the 2020 Legacy.
That's what i hate about the Forester, the seats! Both my fiancee and i are 5' and 5'4" which makes the seat really bad with no lateral support unlike the WRX or other models. XT is suppose to be the sport model but only has exterior upgrades. I still love it though.
Agreed! I am hoping with the new WRX/STi refresh with the recaro seat options, maybe in future XT models we can get the option to have recaros too! Fingers crossed!
WTF?!?!?!?!?!?! The intro music was blasting, as soon as he comes on to talk about the Forester, he sounds like he is 500 feet away from the mic... SMDH!!!

Great in-depth review. I'm contemplating on trading my current car to XT.

Right!? Even the WRX standard seats are fine. Back seats too!
I don't see the outside
I'll make sure to add more exterior shots with a bit more detail in future videos. Thanks for the feedback!
I like to see the vehicle outside view especially when in motion, somebody filming outside
There is no "grand" touring edition, just touring.

It's not a "grand Touring".... just Touring.
