Mockingbird House, located in Paradise Valley, Arizona, is a modern courtyard-style home designed by The Ranch Mine. The house blends seamlessly with its desert surroundings, featuring metal fins inspired by the ocotillo plant that provide both shade and privacy. Travertine stone elements anchor the home to the rugged desert landscape, while the low-profile design preserves views of the surrounding mountains. The house is organized around a central courtyard, with large sliding doors allowing for a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The backyard serves as a retreat, featuring a covered patio, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and a lap pool. The interiors are designed with neutral, organic materials that enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings, while the use of skylights and high windows floods the space with changing natural light throughout the day.
