      Thanks! Years of working on cars, bikes are much easier to do brake fluid.

    What about the black rubber, does it get in after filling the oil in the brake fluid receptacle

    can you use dot 4 for both front and rear?

    • @onecolektiv
      @onecolektiv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, definitely use the same fluid as it needs to go through the abs module if you have abs.

    Always remember to have some brake fluid in the bottle when starting just in case it gets sucked back

    Thanks for the video👍🏻 Is there any link for tailbag by the way?

    • @onecolektiv
      @onecolektiv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a Nelson Rigg tail bag. You can get them at pretty much any motorcycle gear shop.

    What about if you need to add some break oil on the back break just open it and add it right?

      Yeah. If you watch the video for a bit longer, I do the rear brake as well.

      I no longer have the bike, so I am unable to check. Sorry.

    im confused, when are you adding the new brake fluid to the reservoir? why not just drain all the old stuff first and then put in the new brake fluid?

    • @onecolektiv
      @onecolektiv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah sorry. I didn't put the refills on camera because it would mean a lot of camera position changes. You need to keep fluid in the lines, otherwise it will let too much air in the system. That can cause problems, and takes a whole lot longer. Pretty much just don't let the reservoirs get empty. So just keep topping it up as you go.

      @@onecolektiv Ah I see. So basically you remove the cover, then begin to drain the old stuff, but also refilling it (with new product) so it never gets completely empty? Then keep repeating the process until the stuff that drains out is nice and clear?

    • @onecolektiv
      @onecolektiv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes exactly. Sorry I wasn't more clear. Next time I'll make sure I film everything. These comments are the best, so I know what I'm missing and I can make better content. Thanks.

      @@onecolektiv Ok thanks. I really enjoy your channel btw and I'll be purchasing a CB300r soon after I sell my current bike. Still trying to decide between red or blue lol. The blue one (2020/2021) got the cool gold forks and rims, but the red one looks nice too.

      That's awesome, thank you. I do like the Gold on them. I wanted to get them for mine, but they are expensive parts just to change colour.

    Anyone know were I could pick up some similar tubing or what the tubing size is?

    • @onecolektiv
      @onecolektiv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any hardware store will have it. Or you can go to an automotive store and get a brake bleed kit.

      Yeah thinking! Might be a little bit later than planned though. How about you?

      onecolektiv Hoping you pick one up I saw a really nice one near Westfield the other day, I’m still stuck. I’m gonna get a helmet and gloves in the next week or two

      Good stuff. If it helps, remember that naked bikes are easier to work on because they don't have big fairings to deal with. If you're on a a budget, long term they are cheaper maintenance wise if you take it to a shop to get serviced. In saying that, I would have an R3 over an MT-03. It's personal preference though. Go to the dealership and have a real good look at both bikes, sit on them and see what feels more comfortable.

      onecolektiv I do love the look of the r3 more but I still really like the MT-03. I’ve got 6 months of saving to do which won’t be an issue. Super excited. I’ll definitely have a look in store and sit on them. Thanks for the advice
