    While everybody can hear that he used some creative production techniques it's a whole different story to analyze it, remake it and present it like you did, Navie. Congrats!
    Regarding the 2nd example wasn't there a controversy back in the days because he did not clear the sample? I always wonder if that was his decision or the idea of the label to rip off those middle eastern artists.

    • @FuturaNos
      @FuturaNos ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They settled. Technically it’s the label’s legal team to clear the sample. The producer of the Big Pimpin sample wanted more ownership into the song but the court decided against it.

This is crazy. My mom and sister listened to her music when I was a kid. It's crazy to also see the producer behind the song showcase wild I don't think beatmaking on TH-cam even existed idk it's really interesting. Even exciting when something is giving an example in your favorite DAW mines for example is fl studio. Seeing the details behind it in fl studio is really crayy feels wierd in a good way

    Yes, Royce was originally on renegade The actual song is even floating on TH-cam somewhere. Jay was trying to do the whole end feature thing and he showed him some stuff and then he asked if he could have that song and just keep Em's verses on it. It was already recorded and finished before hat did anything with it...which makes it a fact that his verses were written(Jay styled in the booth or whatever) AFTER hearing Ems.

    I love your videos and they are very well produced and informed, but you're making a big deal out of repitching samples. This has been done since day one of sampling. For example, Boogie Down Productions did it in the track "The Bridge Is Over" in 1987. It's been common place in other genres like house and jungle throughout the 80s and 90s. It isn't an advanced technique. LOVE Timbaland though - he was a genius in this period.

      @shanebotwin5793 the so called "placement" opportunities are basically bullshit. It's basically just a way for timbo to collect money from the community for doing basically nothing. It's suspected that the submission process is just random as to whether your beat gets approved or not, and even those that get their beats accepted never see anything actually happen with it. It's expensive to join and basically all you get is some sample packs and plugin trials.

    Tim can turn a one shot guitar note into a platinum track. When he layers his synths over it...thats the money moment. Get your Freak on..Luv 2 Luv U and Hit em With the Hee are prime examples of this technique

    Dope bro but you are over analyzing his unique musicality when it comes to separating him from every producer in hip hop. For example you forgot what made the song the baby noise in “are that somebody
    “ is what made the song. 👶

    Timbo''s beats are basic and a video trying to hype him up, proves that.
    He knows how to use technology and has some unorthodox drum patterns. That's about it
