Thanks for this information. I saw one review that complained about the laser being too bright and not allowing to adjust brightness. This was useful. Hopefully you don't have to do this every time you take out the battery.
@@2amichaelj No you don’t have to! Whichever mode you have it on before charging the battery again will be what it uses once you put the battery back in.
Thanks for the video! Now I can send people over here if they ask on my video 👍🏻 I head the easiest way to do it is just make contact with the battery that way you don’t have to worry about trying to screw it back it at the same time. Once it flashes it should be good to let go and then you can use both hands to screw the cap back on. I was trying to do it while it was already mounted so it was super difficult until I tried it that way.
You're welcome! And thank you for referring people over here. ☺ I haven't tried not fully unscrewing the cap yet. Fortunately it seems to only take a minute or so to go through the process in this video. SMS made it fairly easy. 😄
I am happy that this came out in timely fashion for you! Report back to me on how you like the unit. I am really stocked about my two units. Amazing value.
@@BrixTactical I did. Took it out this weekend. It is OK not great not bad. White light is good and bright, same with green and IR laser. Ir light could use work. We will see how it holds zero over time.
Just got mine today mounted it and took the IR mamtis blaclbeard out back to check out . And for 250 bucks i am fucking impressed . The variable power control and the illuminators competes with mg FP peq15 and IS MK4 vscell . And makes me sick to my stomach lookimg at my over priced civilian eye safe dbal a3
I will be comparing it to a holosun and dbal on the 3rd. I've seen people showing side by side of the HFXC and a real PEQ15, the SMS is sooooo much brighter. Hilarious that they are undercutting major laser companies by so much with a product essentially as good.
@BrixTactical ill try take a video comparing the ones I have using my phone through one of my extra pvs14s is tricky with my funky Amazon attachment contraption . Those two are the only ones I can really compare my dbal A3 is civilian class 1 I already know it not doing shit . And none of my somos stand a chance either.
@BrixTactical I didn't put it next to the peq15 or MK4 yet but I use those two primarily they are very close to each other and this is as good or better . I'm in a neighborhood with so much ambient light I have to keep my irises closed all the way and it still punches way out bright . I was seriously impressed for what I expected a 250 dollar lam to be .
When you put it back in civilian mode, it’s just Power up and down, and fire right? Mines flashing from that but still stuck in high power after. Only reason I’m trying to switch back is that’s how you get the soft pointer with the full power white light
@@Capntens I believe you need to do the process shown in the video to revert it to civ power. I haven’t reverted mine back, but you will probably need to undue the battery cap as shown in the video to put it back on civ mode.
@@BrixTactical figured it out. It is PU/PD/Fire. Once back in civilian mode, laser is unadjustable and is on low mode (lowest from full power’s 7-settings). But flash light is adjustable through same 7 settings on either mode. 👍🏼 only reason to be in civ mode is if you want a softer pointer on vis but bright light
@@richardharris5819 the laser is a freaking light saber and the illuminator is so bright . It's surprisingly almost to good because now I'm just disappointed with so many other devices that cost many times more than this .
@@Zone0ne I’m not 100% sure if I understand the question. But the IR laser does have adjustable brightness, so does the IR Illuminator by itself, and combo of IR laser/IR Illuminator together have adjustable settings too on unlocked full power mode. I don’t remember if the IR laser brightness settings are adjustable on safe mode, but they can be adjusted once they are unlocked. The IR Illuminator brightness as well as the IR laser/Illuminator combo can be adjusted out of the box on safe mode. If I remember correctly, the IR laser brightness does not move on the combo mode, only the Illuminator. I hope that answers your question! 😄 Happy Holidays!
