Thanks for sharing,really its nice job. recently i installed a 5.0.14 ODIS version,and it works whith my vxdiag nano in diagnostic. have you tried perform a reflash with a passthru interface?, i need to get a vas 5054 necesaraly or not ?
Did not tried with the nano interface, but you can always try and see if it works.
Nice setup... you make it look simple. Flashing can be very unnerving! I've been thinking about getting ODIS from a couple of sites that I have been keeping my eyes on. Are all versions created equal? Or are some versions better than the other (like the interface you referred to). Have a good weekend Gigi!

Hi, thanks for the video. If I have sgo file for my dq200 with modified shift points, do I need to do the same setup as you? Or is it possible to flash the module using ODIS-E via OBD in the car?
Possible to flash via OBD in the car.
What version of Odis are you using? I try with 9.2.2 always error. VCP and Kess works well on same Tcu?
You need to select the correct platform else you will get error because ODS might try K-Line first or CAN and the unit might use the other protocols for flashing. VCP and Kess should work as well as ODIS.

I'm about to buy a gearbox basically for its mechatronic unit for a dq500. I have odis and a 5054 connector but i am worried about some of your comments below. Is there a place I can search for my software version and download the flash file?
Alternatively what is the easiest and cheapest way to get the flash file?
Also I assume you can do this while the unit is installed in the car and not on a bench???
Depending on the age of the car , the TCU might have immobilizer incorporated on it. If it has then no way to just swap. If no immobilizer then you can swap and if the gearbox has the same code you can swap plug and play , if not you will need to flash correct software on it , else will not work.

Yes, all tools can flash via OBD.
hello, i have a problem can you help me? I have two LED headlight control units. One of these control units is working properly but the other is not working full function. Is it possible for me to read and save the data of the properly functioning controller and then upload it to the non-working unit? How do I do this reading from ODIS and turn it into a flash file?
you can not READ the flash with ODIS. Find the correct software for it and flash it or go to the dealer and ask them to flash it :)

Hello, I want to flash/update my dsg dq200 in Seat Leon, actually I've got firmware version 4510, is it worth to do that? And where I can get flashing files? I've asked main dealer to update for me even I need to pay but they say that they doing this only when the car is under warranty. Please any help. Thank you
Why flash the gearbox ? Do you have any problems or why ? If it is not broken , don't fix it.
@@GigiBeleaDK Last year I've changed clutch and dual mass flywheel because was little slipping, and week ago gearbox was rebuilt because of lost the hydraulic pressure. Now working fine but sometimes not so often I feel clutch slightly slip. That's the reason why I wonder to flash/update software.

Make sure you have 120ohm resistor between CAN wires on bench. Also K Line needs to be connected to the TCU aswell.
@@GigiBeleaDK thank you for the advice, now its working, but I have a 0am300060e and when it starts flashing it gets a tcm fault just after askes to turn off the ingnition.
Just one more thing, I ve noticed that in your odis it has been written on the up right screen terminal 30, and mine it s terminal 15, could it be a problem? Thanks
A.G.T transmissão automática same here. I get error as soon as i select to start flashing
Hi, are you using an original VAS5054 head? Because clones never work for flashing. At least none that I have tried so far.
It's a clone unit and they all work good if you have the right driver.

I understand that flashing means copying/cloning old unit information to the new one. What kind of information? I bought a refurbished unit from China and seller told first that he is going to programm it to my vin number but after sending has told that I need to make "adaption" with 5054 tool and odis software. Is this correct or is he just lying to me having done nothing about programming? Thanks.
If unit is flashed with correct software then you are ok, just need to make basic settings on the car.

GigiBelea aka JAX hey my 2006 GTI randomly won't shift in reverse and won't go out of first gear. I took it to a shop and had fluid replaced/refilled but the transmission still randomly stops working. The car will drive fine sometimes then revert to being broke. I found a code on the car that is P0608 and P2732. Do you think it's just the solenoid broken or the mechatronic ecu itself? My PRNDS is flashing on my dash as well. If it's just the solenoid I was going to try and have the shop replace them

For 0AM no, for 0CW yes. 0CW can only be flashed on the car or if virgin.
@@GigiBeleaDK I have a renewed 0CW with poor power, low rpm change gear problem. I want to flash a new firmware to fix this. Wonder if it will locked the 0CW again.

Does this control unit flash need to have online log in? And why actually do we need to flash control unit, what is the purpose?
Just to flash units you do not need an online connection. Sometimes units fail, then you need to replace it , and it might come with wrong software for your car , therefore you need to flash with correct software for your gearbox.

only if you have a full read including bootloader.

@@GigiBeleaDK it became that I should use 769K TCU unit. Got some problem when trying to flash unit on bench getting immon ON error. Can 769K unit be flashed on bench or only in car?

@@andriusskaudzius2424 LOL , that will never work , different hw is different CPU architecture. You can only make clone ONE to ONE on same HW.

Yes, if it is the same hardware number. But you can not read with ODIS, you need another tool that can read.
