  • For the last two months I've been using ClickUp as the main project management hub for my company. ClickUp is an incredibly powerful task and project management tool, but in this video I'll show you the best way to set up a simple project sprint.

In future videos I'll show you more advanced features. But remember that often the best way to learn a new tool is not by figuring out every little thing, but by working on a specific outcome, in this case a six week project sprint.
If you'd like to learn more about how I organize projects-without a bunch of jargon or checkpoints-watch this video from a few weeks ago • Get More Done with Pro...
ClickUp has all the features you would expect from a task/project management tool. Task tracking, status types, assignments, and so on. But there are two specific features I love that I made a point of showing you in the video.
First is task dependencies. ClickUp does it better than any other tool I've seen. For example, if I tasks for setup webinar and create signup page in ConvertKit, well I can't really complete the signup page task until the webinar is setup. That's a dependency and I show you how to set that up in seconds.
Second is time tracking - yes TIME TRACKING! At the click of a button you can track time for a specific task, allowing you to have a better awareness of the time spent on said task. This allows you to better protect time for the same or similar tasks in the future, improving your productivity.
Disclaimer: this is a sponsored video from ClickUp-but hopefully as you know-I only promote tools I use.

ClickUp has all the normal project management features you expect, but here are two next-level things I love ❤️
    1. Time Tracking in the task - know how long each task takes so you can plan better next time
    2. Task Dependencies - need to finish one task in order to complete another? It's easy in ClickUp.
What do you want to know more about?

Thanks for this example Matt. I’ve looked into Click up for possible program management with my team at work. This was great to see and check out.

This was very helpful. I'm a bit frustrated because I've watched several videos and still don't know how to access the task list except inside a space. If I dd a task from top how do I assign to a space?

I love seeing you apply your philosophy with this kind of project management tool. I would be really curious to see what you think of Sunsama.

Is there a way to view all the tasks and projects in the form of a hierarchical structure chart or flow chart?

How to create new sprints and move incomplete tasks from old sprints, while also keeping incomplete tasks in old sprint? So we have record of what tasks we have worked in pasts sprints, I know we can move tasks, but..

I tried ClickUp a few years ago and found it horribly slow. Has that been fixed?

The problem with using these apps with teams is everyone has different preferences for how to work and different skills levels. I can't imagine some of my team mates being able to use something this complex, so I would own it.

I’d really like to try out ClickUp, but I’m so satisfied with Todoist right now… It seems really powerful though (and I know it has many more features than Todoist)
