    Teri-Ann, finally someone who talks clearly about how to actually use a PM tool in the real world, integrating projects and personal life, instead of making nothing more than a worthless infomercial for clicks. I operate several businesses, and I have been really looking for a tool that can help me manage each of them (really like separate projects) and my personal life in an integrative way where I can see them all on one calendar everyday. Bravo! Thank you. I will be watching your other videos as well.

    This is just what I was looking for. Simple, clean, and to the point. QUESTION: How do you have the statuses set up on Personal Tasks? Is "Rinse & Repeat" an actual Status or is it a Custom Field? and if it's a status, how do you mark it complete in order for it to repeat?

    Dear Teri-Ann, this is wonderful. i had started with clickup a couple years ago and bailed, too much work, didn't see the big picture. your 16.30 min is all the inspiration i needed - i am going to revitalize my approach and try to back into it. i need something like this to help manage my stuff, right now i use 4 different spreadsheets. it works but takes a lot of overhead. thank you for this!!😁

      Hi David, I'm glad you got something out of the video 😁 ClickUp is amazing for management of most things, I will say that it isn't quite there with it's formula functions to compete with spreadsheets just yet but I'm hoping with the roll out of ClickUp 3.0 it'll get a lot closer!

      I'm so glad you found it helpful! I am on the 'unlimited' plan which is their cheapest paid plan - The free plan does give you a lot but I use ClickUp for basically everything so I hit the custom fields limit on the free plan pretty quickly so for the small monthly cost I personally think it's worth it.

    Great video! I love hearing how you use the app. I love Clickup, but I've been learning that it's not good for everything. For example, I've tried to use it for grocery shopping, and checking off tasks on the go is waay too many steps. I'm glad to hear that you use a traditional to-do app for that. I'm in the process of setting up an app for that as we speak. Please post more ClickUp videos. 🙏

    Thank you so much for creating this video! I created click up and most things are set up now. I have a question though. at 7:24, how do you create those tabs for "progress" and "Ideas" under TH-cam Calender? Also only to show the calender view when you click the content calender folder? I really love how you set things up, but I am struggling to make it happen.

    • @TeriAnnTagget
      @TeriAnnTagget  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you so much for your comment, I'm glad you found it helpful 🥰 The tabs are just different 'Views' of the same list. If you click the '+ View' option at the top of your list it allows you to create different views including the calendar option. Once you've created the view, you can use the filter option (on the left under the list name) to only show what you want to see under that view (I broke mine down by active and inactive statuses to get the 'Ideas' and 'Progress' views)... You can't have just a calendar unfortunately as ClickUp requires at least a list view. But what you can do is create the list, add a calendar view & then 'Pin' it to the front. You can do this by hovering over the calendar view tab and click the 3 dots that appear, there you'll see a 'Pin' option. You can then just click and drag the calendar drag to the front. Hope that helps! xx

    Great job. Do you us the paid version of clickup or is it free? Also, is there a reason why you can't use clickup as your calendar, too? I'm just wondering why you need to use Google and Clickup for a calendar. I've never used Clickup so I honestly don't know.

    • @TeriAnnTagget
      @TeriAnnTagget  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Jeff, thank you for your comment. I have the paid version of Clickup however all of the features I've shown in this video are included in the free version, I opted for the paid version as it gives you access to more custom fields (free version is limited to 100 uses). I use Google Calendar for all of my appointment and events and I use Clickup for all of my tasks management. You could definitely just use Clickup in calendar view for appointments etc. I just prefer to use both 😊

    Thank-you for the video! This is a game changer. Could you explain how you have different tasks/lists in each view? For example, in your 'TH-cam Calendar' you have different tasks/statuses in your 'In progress' view and 'Content ideas' view, but under the same list? When I try to do this, I get the same tasks and statuses showing for each view...it would be great to know how to separate them if possible please :)

    Hello, very nice video. In terms of privacy, is there a risk of creating a space dedicated for your business within your workspace and inviting your team members to it? Or is it better to have separate workspaces? Cause the advatange of having every space in one is that I can see all of my tasks from multiple spaces in a single view

    • @TeriAnnTagget
      @TeriAnnTagget  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm glad you liked the video. You can definitely keep everything in one workspace and just give team members access to certain spaces. They will only be able to see the spaces you add them to - I use ClickUp at my corporate job also and have this exact setup with team members only having access to the spaces or lists they need. You are also able to revoke their access at any time.

    I have pulled in 3 of my Google calendars into Click up. It's a great feature, but the issue I have is that all the calendar items for all the imported calendars show up in purple. It appears to me that in your view, the calendars had distinguishing colors. Is there a way to change the colors for each calendars?

    • @TeriAnnTagget
      @TeriAnnTagget  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jane, unfortunately, I have the obnoxious purple colour on my ClickUp also. Anything on my ClickUp calendars that are showing different colours are actual tasks within ClickUp & not items pulled through from Google Calendar. On most of my calendar views in ClickUp where it isn't relevant, I just have the Google Calendars hidden. If you aren't sure how to do this I cover it in this video th-cam.com/video/5yJ-XMxDdQg/w-d-xo.html at 09:00. Hope that helps 😊

    This app looked phenomenal at first, but I'm quickly finding that there are some major problems with it. I needed to create a doc and be able to share it with anyone in protected status. Otherwise anyone can change it. Turns out the ability to protect a doc is only available with the *Business Plan*. That would cost me, as an individual, a minimum of $144 per year--and that's only if I paid for a full year. Notion, which is 100% free, had a documents feature is identical to this and they allow you to share protected documents with the public. Clickup has issues. Lots of features are only available for a trial period (mind mind maps, email). To omany features are only available via the Business plan. Plus, Google calendar sync is extremely slow. It takes over a minute for events to show up to disappear from clickup after adding or deleting them. Their Unlimited plan has many limitations, too. There's no way I'm paying $144/year for this. Looks like I'll be going back to using Todoist, Notion and Google Calendar. All together they cost just $3 per month. As they say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. By the way, students and teachers should check out Monday.com. Their Pro version is free for students and educators.
