What an awesome display of Christmas spirit. Thank you for sharing. Loreto is such a special place and hope to visit your place someday. Love all that you do to share your piece of paradise.
Was down a couple weeks ago and, yep, lots of trees, decorations and lights. Christmas time is great in Mexico. Happy Holidays Dooglas & Esperanza. Wishing you guys a great 2025!! 🙂
Christmas is a lot of fun in Mexico. Our village has been non stop with events. We're in Mexicali now and there are lots of lights here, too. The only thing I don't like...well our dogs..are all of the fireworks. They are illegal but no one seems to obey the laws. Cheers!
When we were in San Felipe there were lots of fireworks almost every weekend. Here in Loreto there are almost none ever. They only open the fireworks store for a few days a few times a year before big holidays.
Loved the video. Been to Loreto twice the last 5 years but never in December. Loved to see your neighbors too, the horse and donkey. Merry Christmas and hopefully a Happy New Year!
Foxes? Wow, that's cool. Not so cool that it put a hole in your nice carpet. I love seeing the donkey and horse in your videos, so it was especially nice to pet them when we walked our dogs down your street. Feliz Navidad to you both 🎄
We think they are living in a den under the mesquite tree in our back lot. They now are around all night. They have stolen flip lops from our guests but luckily they dropped them still on our property. They also tore up a pair of gloves I left out.
We were down there last Christmas and wondering if you can shed some light on an event we experienced. While we were sitting at a restaurant, there was an event in the plaza where they called out random numbers and kids would go up a get a gift. It went on for at least an hour! By the way, we agree it was a magical time with lots going on.
I don't know about the specific event, but there are several local groups collecting and providing Christmas gifts to children in Loreto. We donated this year to a group who has been doing this for many years and they deliver presents to all the children living in isolated ranching communities up in the mountains surrounding Loreto. For many of these kids it is the only present they will get because they live a subsistence type lifestyle. They collected over 2500 gifts this year! Loreto is a very special place and the community tries to help support everyone who needs help.
Here in Nova Scotia we have visiting Fox the odd Skunk, Racoons, Porcupines, Ducks and Geese but early morning and as soon as the sun drops the Deer come out. Many are regulars and I've named a few. Up to 13 at a time they don't even mind the dogs. (they watch but that's it) Great decorations in town , it's nice to see actual merry Christmas scenes that have happy people and no Malls getting shot up. That's a magical place you've found. Colour us jealous. P n D
Don't forget the coyotes! The deer are really cool unless you are trying to grow anything. Then they become a huge pest. They are good at circumventing any countermeasures that you install to protect plants and trees. 🤣
@@dooglassandesperanza Yes we have coyotes but seldom see them. Yes deer will eat almost anything green but we love it when they bring the fawns by to show off. Dad had an 8 ft wire fence built around the garden. That worked until it became just too much work. PS Merry Christmas to you 2 and anyone else reading this.
I lived in Oregon way out in the country on 20 acres and our neighbor had sheep. The coyotes were out there all the time. Then we lived in the middle of Vista, CA which is a dense city of around 150,000 people and the coyotes were crazy there. People lost dogs and cats every week in our neighborhood. The coyotes even got so bold that they started attacking dogs when people were walking them on a leash on the sidewalk in the afternoon. We hear the coyotes once in a while here but I think all the street dogs keep them out of town. Merry Christmas!
@@dooglassandesperanza Not too many signs of coyotes here. Once and a while I'll hear them in the distance or see them much closer to town. Occaisionly bear scat but the last close up with a coyote was a few years ago when 1 decided to start howling about 2 am just outside my bedroom window. Now that was Hair raising. (literally) Seals on the island I can see from my kitchen window, always eagles and osprey around . Take care and enjoy.
💡👍🎄Brilliant !!
Thanks!
God bless you guys for doing this 🙏🌷😘

Nothing about the Christmas lights wiring? I like to play "count the code violations..."
Haha! I could make a whole new channel just on Mexican wiring!
