Mita Gormet - the chef takes your order and is quick to warn you about foods with heat. I like salsa diablo with any dishes where there is a choice of salsas. I can usually take heat; however, if you're at Mita Gormet, heed the warning... 🥵 Sushi Express - we asked our hair person what her favorite restaurant in town was and she immediately gave Sushi Express as her favorite. We, too, have not been there, but it's on our must try list. Pan que Pan - absolutely love that place. The little VW has a sticker from "The Country Collectors" from their visit to Loreto - before they broke up. 😥 Great breakfast. Playa Blanca - great place, with a really nice family that owns and operates it. Loreto Islas - Yep, fabulous breakfast Giggling Dolphin - so glad you hit that one. Fabulous local place. I contributed a Utah license plate to their collection. The only one that I would add from that downtown area is Orlando's - outstanding breakfast and really good dinner. They have a "poblano sauce" that is off the charts good. Maybe the best sauce I've ever had. Another terrific look at Loreto. It's a great place to live. I hope the back is doing better.
I realized we had missed Orlandos and more importantly the ice cream shop! That is our hands down favorite place in town, especially in the summer. We will cover them in another food video when we tour farther out from the town center.
Hi!, nice video, i am from La Paz B.C.S. haha, you have the life i want xD, i always wanted to open a resort or something and live in there too. so is kind of ironic to find this channel!. i wish you the best!
Well good to see you are still out and about. Until your money runs out, one should never get hungry there. Nice city that you have chosen to be home. P n D
We usually only eat out about once a week and during construction it was more like once every two weeks. We get to visit lots of restaurants when our friends and family visit
Just nitpicking, but there are restaurants and places to eat not in centro. Mita gourmet has the best paella in town. The best pizza is in the la mission hotel. If you want great tacos, you need to go to the small stands away from the plaza. Then decide which type: Don nico for birria, el vikingo for fish tacos, carnitas on saturdays. Poblanos for pastor. Super burro for carne asada.
Great info! We could make years of videos on food in Loreto. Did you know that there are currently 126 licensed restaurants in Loreto! My favorites are definitely Poblanos for pastor and arrachera tacos (we have featured their tacos twice in past videos), Birrieria El Valle for birria tacos, El Grill for fish tacos, and definitely Pizzería Maya for the best pizza (we have also featured this in a past video) with El Zopilote and Pizzeria Sebasnice as close seconds. The Mission has the best and possibly only eggs benedict in town!
There are over 160 licensed restaurants in Loreto. Too many to pick. Your best bet would be to look at reviews on Google Maps or check out the Voices of Loreto Facebook page. You should find tons of good reviews there.
When we do a review of a single restaurant we always put in prices but it would probably make the video way too long to try to put prices in for a whole bunch of restaurants. You can always look the restaurants up on Google maps and find all the menus there.
Check out my video this Friday where I go though a in depth data driven analysis of grocery prices in the US and Mexico. I think you will be surprised.
At least the french fries here are all fresh cut potatoes cooked in beef lard with a little salt. According to Mc Donalds' website their fries contain: French Fries Ingredients: Potatoes, Vegetable Oil (canola Oil, Corn Oil, Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Natural Beef Flavor [wheat And Milk Derivatives]*), Dextrose, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate (maintain Color), Salt. *natural Beef Flavor Contains Hydrolyzed Wheat And Hydrolyzed Milk As Starting Ingredients
....they have the best french fires..... " yeah... they are good they taste like Macdonads"... thats when this video lost me. any further recomendations are nule. sea Ya!
@@dooglassandesperanza Great, that just confirms that your taste isn't great. Bad comparison: junk food with a tourist destination restaurant. So how can you guarantee a good recomendation with those standard...just saying.
Everyone has different tastes. It sounds like yours are different than mine. I don't hold any predisposed opinions against any brand or product just because of the category it is in. I will give anything a chance and give my honest opinion. Thank you for doing the same.
It changes all the time. During high season from November to May it about 50 established sit down restaurants, 25 smaller pop up restaurants, and probably another 20 food carts. That's all within a 5 min drive or 15 min walk from the center of town
You had me at Esperanza's coconut margarita. Those craft drinks look awfully good. 🙂
They are!
Beautiful
they lost me at ....yes the frech fries are good...they taste like Mcdonald's. no further credibility there.
Great video! You showed us quite a few we have not been to yet! It is amazing how many restaurants there are in Loeto!
So true!

Thank you for this video, many restaurants there that I have yet to try. I’ll check them out on my next trip to Loreto. Get well soon. 🐡🌴
Thank you
We want to come next Christmas!
You should!
Happy New Years guys! Our favorite is Mi Loreto. Thanks for the video.
Happy new year!
Another great video! Town has sure grown.
Yes and rumor is it will keep going in 2024. Walmart, Chedurai, Little Caesars, and several more are rumored to be starting construction this year
Hey Doug, how's your back doing? hope your healing and getting back to normal.
About 3 weeks and still have discomfort most of the time and painful in the evening. Resting and working on rehab
Love your t-shirt Esperanza! Representing North County San Diego!
We were actually visiting some friends in North County when I read your comment and everyone loved it!
Great video. Still craving the fish tacos at El Grill! The Best.
Thay are great and cheap there!

So... You want more visitors ? LOL@@dooglassandesperanza
Did you forget Orlando’s?
Yes Orlandos and the best place in town the Ice Cream Shop! We will pick them up in a future video.

We are coming to Loreto in November what are the best cheap eats and drinks please

what is the avg price for one dinner?
We usually average around $180 pesos ($10.50 USD) per meal for dinner.
You've both built such a cozy warm retreat 🙃
Can't wait to renew my passport so I can visit🤙
Ps: Ignore my handle please.. It's a dare
Thank you
Nice video. It is difficult to hear you when you turn your face away from the camera and speak.
Sorry about that. We are going to invest in some wireless mics in the near future.
Gracias por visitar México.
De Nada
$$$ prices??

@dooglassandesperanza thank you 😁
Wow is it expensive there as much or more than the United States and the new government is very scary now be careful things are changing in Mexico
Check out my video this Friday where I go though a in depth data driven analysis of grocery prices in the US and Mexico. I think you will be surprised.
Show signs of restaurants a little slower
Ok will do next time.
I disagree the French fries en Mexico are much better than Mc. Ds. Lol

😂 I don't like anything else at McDonald's but I stand by my review of their fries.
