RLWL is sometimes better than GWL. If the remote location ha more quota than originating station LW, is better or at par. Remote location has its own charting process. Best way to assess is to see number of coaches in a category, we can see this in erail website in multi quota option, we should also understand bit of probability theory.

3.The Said facility withdrawn by PM Shri Modi ji during Corona episode from March 2020 to control the serious disease a wise decision.
4.However, it is unfortunate that the said Train ticket Fare concession not restored to Senior citizens so for.
5.what we request is to restore the concession early.
Even now concession is available to Sr.Citizen.

அது கோவையை தாண்டி இன்னும் அதிக தூரத்துக்கு செல்லும் வண்டியாக இருக்கும்.
During online booking, only WL is shown and not and specifically mentioning RLWL or PQWL.
Only after booking only we came to know this.
My suggestion is, if the current position is clearly known we will book the ticket before the payment
On 1 st part of booking PQWL is not visible. But when you further proceed for 2nd part of making payment it will be shown whether PQ or GN.Then you can decide as you wish

Sir, excellent information. But one thing you have to clarify. When I am booking for Madurai from Chennai in NELLAI or KK express, if the tickets are full, I extend the booking upto Virudhunagar and get the Virudhunagar quota and can get down at Madurai. Is there any problem in doing so.

Tatkal confirmed tickets if cancelled no refund is given. Traveller holding tatkal ticket if not travelling for any reason normally does not take the effort to cancel the ticket. I have been suggesting to atleast refund 50% for tatkal cancellation to improve revenue and give others a chance.

@indruoruthagaval360 Individuals may get sudden unexpected problems. We are in Computer era. Usually rarely all wait listed passengers get confirmed tickets. Why cancellation charges are not made nominal and are reduced to just meet additional administrative expenses only. Refund facility for cancellation may be stopped 12 hours before start of train. If, if at all, the confirmed seat is not filled due to no demand, charges may be collected as a post facto.

Post facto are all too complicated. You book you pay. You cancel get refund after normal deduction, say 5% irrespective of days, tatkal etc. This is a social obligation of the govt.
@dkran Our computerisation has gone too far in development in solving issues. In an AI driven computerization era, there will be no complications. They can refund, say, after 2 days.

Sir one correction. TQWL will move in the queue if some Tatkal passengers cancel before charting . But while charting Tatkal will go afterGWL
For confirmed Talkal tkts cancellation no refund is available. So who booked at forenoon but cancelling travel programme before charting will not show interest or spend some time to cancel the ticket. At least if Rly consider 50 RS refund on TQ cancellation, it would encourage cancellation of unwanted confirmed TQ tkts which would help and give justice to the genuine TQ WL passengers.

I could not travel a premiun tatkal ticket due to sudden personal health reason
The decision to buy was post tatkal booking time and naturally I could not get ticket in Tatkal process. But surely, my seat would have been filled for a WL
. Whether Railways get Rs.1500+ additionally without compensation to Premium Tatkal purchaser. If yes, is it not a loot through improper policy / system.
Sorry. As per rule.. confirmed Tatkal/Premium Tatkal tickets cannot be cancelled.
