This is the most similar I've seen to my father's '05 Vette. Same blower, interchiller, etc. I heard them say it has a tub spacer. How thick is the spacer? I just added a 1/2" spacer and had the blower ported. Anxious to finish putting it back together and get it on the dyno for a tune.
Great point Dusty. Peak power means nothing compared to average power between shift points. Personally, I would take that 700 average over 750 peak with an average of >700. Just an an example. Who cares about bragging? We're trying to win races over here.
Very similar to the setup I built for my father's 2005 Corvette. Forged stock cube LS2, BTR PDS Stage 2 (not V2) Jackshaft Maggie, 10% IW crank, 3.3 upper, 12 rib Griptec 16.33% OD rears, all the supporting stuff. Pump 93 spraying meth .......at 15 psi made similar hp/tq. Had Katech CNC port the stock 243 heads, it pulls without nosing over to a self imposed 7,200 rpm limiter. I've since put a bigger air intake and a FI Interchiller, was supposed to hit the dyno to retune but I postponed it because I've paid Jokerz and will send the blower out this fall once the car is parked for porting. They claim 2+ psi 50+whp 30+ wtq. I'd be interested to see a HP Tuner log of your IAT2 on the street as well as the dyno. Street is more realistic(or track) as you're loading up heat across several gears, not just a 4th gear pull.
@@nufnuffz28 I had my jackshaft TVS2300 ported by Jokerz and added a 1/2" tub spacer. 20% cog rear, 10% lower, 3.3 8 rib upper so 21,200 rpm @ 7,200 and just made 758/672 SAE. This time my tuner told me to ditch the meth. So that's 93 Octane no meth. He would start the car and roll for a minute until the interchiller would get IAT to 50 F (it was 86F ambient) and then make the hit just to keep things consistent. At that power level IAT got to 109F peak. The hp curve is pretty cool....when he let off at 7,100 rpm (7,200 rev limiter) the hp was still climbing. So with a roots blower it never even rounded off or even hit a plateau like you almost always see. I'd recommend the Jokerz porting if they are ever looking for more, or like in my case I wanted to increase efficiency and make the same power as before but spin the blower less. Keep in mind this is a stock cube LS2 (364 6.0)

Question: my wife and I will have owned our '09 G8 GT two years this Memorial Day to the tee. It had 47K original miles, and I used a handheld tuner and turned off AFM/DOD early on in our ownership. Do I need to do the lifter swap etc. to make sure we don't have any problems that people run into when AFM/DOD is never disabled throughout ownership of said car or truck? I'm hoping I turned it off early enough with such low mileage that I don't ever have to worry about it.

You'll know when you need ton replace them, but they will probably fail one day. I'd nor worry until they start making noise
