- The man suing Gwyneth Paltrow for allegedly crashing into him during a ski run in February 2016 took the stand Monday and testified against the famed actress. Terry Sanderson claimed he suffered numerous health issues since the collision, blaming Paltrow for the injuries he suffered that day. Paltrow claims otherwise, saying Sanderson was at fault and hit her from behind. The Law&Crime Network’s Jesse Weber breaks down the top eleven moments from the skier’s testimony.

He hit her and then heard the scream. She was going down her side of the slope and he was zigzagging across the whole slope risking hitting everyone.

He's has a serious vision impairment and he wasn't wearing his glasses. How could he even see her before he hit her? Maybe that's why he was so startled at the impact.
The other guy in him did it, when his girlfriend wanted to leave him, he tells her to go and then blames it on the other person inside of him. He can't even take responsibility for his own actions even in a relationship, he is blaming the other guy, he is blaming Paltrow with his lies about her hitting him, Its pathological. I think he has pushed out everyone in his life, and doesn't take the blame, he blames the other guy inside him, likely that is why he wasn't there when his kids testified.
That's not what he said. Gp was screaming because she was distracted I guess looking at her son. When she realized she was getting close to skiing into his back- she screamed.
I heard his witness statement, her son. he wasn't right there, he didn't see it happen, but his instructor went over to see if they were okay right after it happened. both of her kids were with instructors, they were NOT with their mom when it happened. In fact in the daugher's witness statement, she was low down the hill and heard something going on up the hill, but didn't know what it was, or that her mother was hit till Paltrow arrived at the bottom. The son in his witness statement saw nothing of the accident, but right after his instructor went over and he with him, to make sure everyone was okay. This guy who blames his issues on the other person in his body, already tried to sue the son's ski instructor and the club and lost. Its obvious some just dislike GP, but I have no opinion on her, dislike or like. I know who she is, and have seen her in movies, and that is about it. I am not following the whole trial but what I have seen and read, my own opinion is, he is lying, or the other guy inside him hit Paltrow. I don't believe she hit him, I think if she had, she would have paid his bills, for her it wouldn't be a hardship. It's about being accused of something you did not do, and being told to pay up, when she was the one that was hit that day. Imagine if she sued him for hitting her, LOL.

I’m not a fan of GP, and even wanted to believe this guy, but it turns out that I believe hers, the instructors and kids testimonies over his.
The ski instructor was yelling at him because it was his fault. He skied from the entire other side of the hill and ran into her. She was skiing in tight zigzags on one side consistently. He was also above her, therefore it's on him. Also it's hilarious to watch him magically forget things, but then when it comes to the money testimony, he is the most detailed and recollective he's ever been.
Fault aside… be human and check on the man FFS!

As a TBI survivor I can see his full of it. I suffered a fx skull from a fall down steps. It has been a long recovery for me but I CAN SMELL BS a mile away!

me too simple fall 12hrs unconscious hit sharp edge of a table cracked skull had bad motor issues 2 yrs ago short term memory shot, long term is improved, speak now incessantly and write 5 page texts and annoy everybody but I think I'm slowly getting better, agree with you on this bloke

@@malcolmr3 true. That’s pretty standard though. I’m sure she didn’t want to have to deal with this court case at all, especially if she is innocent. If he is at fault and/ or he’s just looking at this as an opportunity as money grab, she shouldn’t have to pay attorneys fees, either.

That's exactly why Gwyn's lawyer told her to only file for $1 nominal damages, because of silly statements like this. By creating more damages, she elongates the trial and there will be more attorney fees. If she loses, she will pay more for her lawyer and the other.

Wow, first thought is: How could this retired doctor think it was a good idea, at the risk of ruining his and his family's reputation, to tell under oath such a suspiciously rehearsed story for, at best, $300k? That's the only way a judge is going to side with him - i.e.: maybe him suing is proof his brain was damaged.

Deer valley employees are ultra helpful and insanely polite, that alone makes his story bizarre. claiming the instructor would lie on the report it’s all about the money. The medical expert testified he had a degenerative brain disorder for a long time prior.
The plaintiff said the ski instructor was yelling at him: I don’t believe that. I just don’t think the instructor seems like someone who’d yell at an injured person. Such lies!

Don't forget he was on the left side of her on the slope from multiple people, he is supposedly blind in his right eye. I think he was going way too fast without caring and making wide turns that had him criss crossing over the entire run, hence how he could have caught up to the group, due to his blindness he completely missed her as as he pulled levelish with her as he made ridiculously wide turns hogging the run, he crashed into her. She couldn't see him because he had been behind her and didn't know or see him. He also doesn't listen to his doctors who advised him not to drink (prior to the incident), after he was told not to ski because if he had another tbi it could be really serious and not worth the risk so he goes and skis several times. Sorry but given everything he is a known liar prior to the accident, his family admit it. He admitted he lied and exaggerated his symptoms to doctors, he wanted his 15mins of fame with the "I'm famous".
@12.56 I started laughing as it took me back to dear amby pamby on the stand and her fake tears. I had no opinion of the case, i listened to GP n thought alot of her testimony was true. Once old mate got on the stand,after listening to him I realised he is not being honest at all. I have a brain injury and when ur injured ur brain goes into survival mode. It doesnt register much, it doesnt think about sparks in the eyes or saying ur name or even blow by blow accounts of what happened, it becomes a fog. Then the headache kicks in and it overides the pain everywhere else. The adrenalin also kicks in. This man hit GP and looking for his 15min of fame and some coin to add to his collection.
The plaintiff’s case is over. His own testimony hurt him. He was not credible. He was caught in one lie after another. His entire case is based on one lie after another. His friend/eyewitness was countered on too many details by other witnesses including how the two landed and what happened afterwards. He was wrong about that and so he is likely wrong about who hit whom. He was not credible. Paltrow was credible. So was the ski instructor, ski patrol, medical personnel, etc. The plaintiff has the burden and did not even come close to meeting it. I am however interested in knowing more about what Paltrow gave Taylor Swift for Christmas. Oh and one more thing, I predict Sanderson’s testimony will find its way into law enforcement kinesics classes. This guy displays a plethora of deceptive behaviors. This indicates corrupt as opposed to crazy.

Yeah the anger management issues pre-crash raise some red flags for me. I don't want to paint every Narcissist with the same brush, but it is a trait they possess and a serious red flag. As an expert in the psychological field of study, nothing would thrill a Narcissist more than putting themselves on display like this, but as a counter to that, the breakup with the girlfriend is an interesting one. Narcissists are not walking away from any supply, and especially not for 300, 000.00. Now could she, the girlfriend already have been getting a sense about his dysfunction?, possibly, and that could be the motive there. I'll need to see her testimony to get clarity here.
I think he fabricated what happened after the impact. Whether he did it from long term brain damage or wilfully to get a pay day I don’t know. But my mom once told me something that has stuck with me…

I have no idea why this case is in court. Seems frivolous and a waste of precious judicial resources. Also seems like a bad precedent if he prevails. I'd like to know why this Plaintiff amended his complaint to ask for $300K damages instead of $3M. He changed this to medical expenses only because he couldn't prove other damages? He has $300K in OUT OF POCKET medical expenses in this day and age with insurance? The whole thing seems off. Paltrow must really feel this guy is scamming if she's taking the fight this far instead of just cutting him a check for his bills. Did he get taken off the hill by stretcher, or did he ski down?

The judge threw out the rest of his lawsuit. He was taken down by ski patrol, after first getting up on his skis to ski down. After his friend told him who he hit, he decided it best to get taken down the mountain.

I'm not a fan of GP but I don't believe the plaintiff when he says it was GP who slammed into him. It's also interesting how he blames "the other personality" for any mistakes or blunders he has made after the accident. It's very convenient for him.

I've been watching the whole testimony from both of them.
To me Sanderson comes across as unreliable and over dramatic. Much of what he says is inconsistent or doesn't make scense.
Classic example of a person lying about an event. He is definitely not an actor.

Listening to this man testify is kinda like hearing fingernails run down a chalkboard. Excruciatingly painful. And then there’s the loss of his gf Carlene. WTF was that? It was like watching a soap opera “I told her she had to leave, I might never be the same again”. Pretending to choke up with tears. He has scammer written all over him.
I know she’s is only suing for $1 and fees, but I really hope the jury awards her more for punitive just to teach this guy and others like him a lesson.

Makes you wonder if his other person is the one that ran into Paltrow, while he sees himself as the victim. Hmm like one part is him, and the person he hit, is him "I'm Famous". I don't know if he was really hurt, but he seems to continue in his life blaming others, for his own actions, and excuses himself when he says it was the other person inside of him that did these things. His relationship with his girlfriend, it wasn't him that did bad things, it was the other person inside, when his kids testified and he didn't show up, its because he can't take the blame for whatever happened between himself and his kids. Every time he is a bad person, it's not him, it's the other person inside. Amazing he can't see how weak his story is when he can't take blame even under oath for the other things he has done, just like he won't take blame for hitting Paltrow. He "is" the other guy inside.
Paltrow could easily pay him, it's not a big amount, she could pay him and move on in her own world that is nothing like ours, but the reason I can see that she didn't just brush him off with paying his medical bills is, she knows she didn't cause this accident, that he hit her and paying him would be like paying a blackmailer. She decided to let it go to court. It doesn't matter if you like her or not, she was not going to take the blame and pay him off to stop the harassment. Good on her.
