You know it brother! Just hooked mine up with the Sand Cutter bolt carrier and Arisaka accessories too. Highly recommend Arisaka gear. I mean wow, it totally changed how I manipulate the firearm. Thank you again for the great video.
Subscribed within the first minute. I already knew KAC was supposed to be badass. I’d love to pick one up after seeing this. But I love your philosophy. You can’t review something that hasn’t been well tested. That’s a major issue with so many reviewers. Someone gives em a free gun. They give it good reviews. And then it’s a lemon. Like the Sig 365. Or P320. Or Century RAS-47.
Nice video. I also did a review video on my Mod1, and a follow up video on the rifle at 14,700rds. The gun is currently at 16,100rds. I really love the SR15 Mod1.
Ever since I shot out my 1st SR15 Mod1 upper/barrel(mag dumping steel case ammo), I've been doing routine accuracy tests every 1000rds or 1500rds, and it's still capable of 1.25 MOA using Magtech 77gr OTM and AE 50gr Varmint tip ammo(10rd groups). I check the accuracy at 100 and 300 yards. Occasionally doing 1-1.1MOA, but mostly around 1.25-1.4MOA out to 300 yards. I am very happy with the performance.
@@Joe_Friday KAC no longer service the Mod1 when I talked to them via email, so I had to buy another complete upper, and sell the old one. No idea where to get KAC things now.
I have the SR-15 Mod 1 and I shoot it suppressed with the SIG SRD 5.56 QD can and noticed it’s not over gassed but slightly under gassed yet runs without a hiccup!
Have a DD M4 A1. That KAC SR15 will be my next rifle. Have put about 2K rounds thru my DD no problems. But with that carbine length gas tube its got some kick and by the second mag my eyes are burning from the gas blow back. But the goverment profile hammer forged chrome lined barrel it shoots good groups.
I still stand by the LMT Enhanced bolt + Lantac carrier but the knowledge and experience you have on the SR-15 is valuable. I won't be able to get rid of what works for me, the BCG combo plus Criterion HBAR chrome lined barrel, but after watching this video I will consider buying an SR-15 upper.
@@RooftopDefense so glad to hear that. You have a great presence in front of the camera. And you realy got me hocked on that sweet sweet SR15 train 🤙 keep it up

I know this is a (relatively) old video but I'm curious if you had to replace the rail for some reason? Looks like everything in painted, including the barrel, but the handguard is not.
You sold me on it, ordered the same version. I like the review and the fact that you actually train with your equipment. Just one question, what about barrel replacement if/when it’s needed? Do you have to send it back to KAC? Thanks
Cool, someone needs to do a good objective comparison of the two. I couldn’t find much information on the QDC’s effectiveness in low light/no light. I have the RC2 and am pleased with it, but had the MAMS pin and welded on the SR-15 so the QDC is in as near a future as the BATFE will allow!
This video sold me on my KAC 11.5 mod 2 build. Sol is a solid guy to work with and if anyone is looking to make a build with Knights Armament parts check out his buisness Rooftop Defense.
Great video! You should do more. I like Slip 2000. Have you tried the EWL30? It is thicker and seems to work better for the AR15 platform. Just my 2 cents. Lucas is good stuff too. Love my SR15. I need another one as mine is in Key Mod and M-Lok is better.
Just saw this video from M4Carbine. Couple of questions: why 14.5 instead of 16? Saving just an 1.5". Plus no pinned/welded flash hider so you had to register w/ATF as a SBR. What was your reasoning to not pin the flash hider.
Hey, dude! Glad to see you came from M4C. The 14.5" SR-15 Mod 2s run a little flatter and handle a little lighter and faster. The 16" guns also run quite well with an H2 buffer. The logic behind not pinning the muzzle device was that a good pin job is anywhere between 60 to 120 dollars, give or take 33 to 60% the cost of a tax stamp. However, going the SBR route allows the shooter to more readily service the rifle, whether it's changing the handguard or muzzle device. I hope this helps!
