Follow the directions within the video if you are having issue with the app please contact the developer of the app I'm using Google router and have two points one for my room and one for my living room I connect my ps5 via ethernet cable for better remoteplay connection if you can't get it setup please do not discredit my video for any errors on your behalf

Thanks man your video helped me alot, people having problems setting up port forwarding can check their port forward already set up on router for ps4 or ps5 and just copy what the router has already on it and just change the port forward numbers to the one in this vid with new port forward rules, it was a little confusing at first but i realised my router had port forward rules on my router already for ps5 and i just used that as a reference on how to create the new port forward numbers for ps play remote connection and i just had to change the numbers to the ones in this video and it worked. U the goat, I'm a security guard overnight shit gets boring as fuck lmao I watched every scary movie there is, I just wanna play PS5 the whole time I'm there, my friend brings his to work but I have people that come into my building sometimes so I don't wanna leave my big ass PS5 chilling there for someone to come steal when I go for a smoke or something. Oh also if you have any issues the Sony remoteplay app can also play over 5g now as well all you have to do is go into the settings on the ps remoteplay app click mobile and then click enable mobile data if you run in to any issues with this app you cam use the original remoteplay app over mobile data as well sony updated the app to work on mobile data last year in September
Like he said this works without remote play...im try it when i get home, i tried yesterday no luck but seeing this i have hope again.

i think i was able to set up a static ip for my ps5 so whenever the ps5 restarts, i don't need to reconfigure the UDP/TCP stuff every time...hopefully. have you set up a static ip for yours?
Nah I didn't need too once I set up the port forward everything was good from there
@@Rpgmaniac i guess because for you you keep your ps5 at home all the time but for me i keep it at home or bring it to my friends house. i would need to set it up on my friend's router

Can u change the settings on xfinity Comcast router?? Does remote play work with that router?
Well im not sure cause I don't own that router you would have to check the psplay app help manual to see if it's compatible
Where do u get the I p address for the port? Like the part u put in the port forwader
It should be automatic but if not just go into the help section of the app and put in the port forwarding codes
Can you use an Xbox one controller like with the official ps remote play app?
Yeah you should be able too via blue tooth if not use the ps play app
Can you use your phones microphone to enable party chat to play online competitive games?
Yeah you should be able to it works just like it would with the regular remoteplay app just a bit better cause you aren't limited to just playing on wifi if you use the ps5 controller via bluetooth the mic might not work you might have to connect a head set to the controller I think im not too sure I'll test it out and do a video if all goes well
Yes it automatically uses your phone’s microphone and the mute/unmute toggle is on the bottom if you tap the screen.

Well in the video I explain how to set it up you have to go into your advance settings on your router but I'll definitely make a video on how to do so but every router is different but they all set up port forwarding by using the advance settings
It's just done differently depending on what type of router you have
It should say advance networking in general settings

Awww man I'm sorry about that they just recently updated this app to work with ps5 I don't think you can remotely do it from a distance simply because they just added ps5 support to the app for remoteplay Psplay was only limited to ps4 so you would have to be at home to register your ps5 for the new update on the app and it should auto configurate with out you doing it manually I had no idea you was away that sucks
Hello, so I tried this and was able to wake the ps5, it looked like it was going to work, then said not found, I have a netgear nighthawk, google wifi mesh with the PS5 connected LAN wired to Google point, I am able to go local, but when trying to use mobile data, woke PS5, but could not find console?
No worries I have great news for you the Sony remoteplay app now does remoteplay over mobile data so just use the Sony app and you dont have to set up any port forwarding codes or anything all you need is a great mobile connection

Heyo! Public IP isn't working for me.. and Remote Connect only works for when I'm on the same WiFi network. Any ideas what could be wrong?
No worries just to give you a heads up the original remote play app by Sony now allows remote play over mobile data just go into the original remote play app go to settings click on the option that says mobile Data and then click enable mobile data and you should be good

For my ps4, I have to put the ps4 code only, and the ones below it as well?
Yeah use the 987 code for ps4 only
You Can put both ps4 and the ps5 one for the future in case you upgrade to a ps5
But if you are only using ps4 enter the the 987 and the other codes below that should follow in the same exact order you see

Yea... With all the loopholes and settings and having to get a ps4 controller I would just use a second old phone to be a hotstop.
The ip address you have to plug in when setting up the port forwarding is the ip address for the ps5?
I believe so if you click on configure internet access it should pick it up automatically

Yeah used a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi

Ok so I just went into the app to see if I can find any information if weather you can remotely set it up away from home and I didn't see anything within the help manual that allows you the ability to do so which is crazy cause they should make that possible

@@Rpgmaniac well i got my ps5 later but i set up the ports for the ps4 now that i have the ps5, it says the ports are already registered under the ps4 and wont let me use the same ports (the last 3. Not the ps4 only one)
So basically look into the help section under play over internet and just add port 987 for ps4 only and 9302 for ps5 only
Or delete all the ports and start with 987 and 9302 then put the other ports ima test it out on ps4 to see if it works and I'll make a video for it 👍🏽

@@Rpgmaniac I got it!!! So when I went into my port forwarding settings it had everything from cell phones to smart tvs. I just had to locate the one that an ip addressed that matched the one in my ps5 network settings it was labeled unknown. Then I put the info in there
@@Rpgmaniac also in the part that says "direct connect" you have to put your public IP address in there NOT the regular IP address nor the PS5 IP address. I found in thru a link on the help page. I'm all set. 🙂

No worries fortunately the Sony ps remoteplay app now allows remoteplay over mobile data the app was updated in September my friend so just set it up and you are all good 👍🏽 and thanks for commenting my friend I hope I was able to help
And the good thing about the original remoteplay app is that it doesn't require you to set up any port forwarding codes

Well im not too sure I have unlimited data and my plan has at least 100 gigabytes

How did you get the public IP... It still won't connect for me and I think it is wrong because of the Google WiFi setup
Every router is different
Just follow the directions within the video if it doesn't work most likely it's your service provider
I currently have Verizon fios when I made this video I had spectrum as long as you input the correct ports in as you see it within the apps help section you shouldn't have any problems

I follow the steps in your video through my Google router and it never works. But if I connect directly to my Verizon router it works but it's super slow because the PS5 is too far away. I'm trying to figure out when you click direct connect where are you getting that IP to enter.
PS Play won’t connect using cellular only on WiFi it works

@@Rpgmaniac It's not working, maybe I'm putting the info in wrong but the guys pics are outdated and I can't find anyone who's done this for ATT. I can tell it works beautifully when I connect with wifi but the point is to play away from home.

The Sony remoteplay app allow you to play over mobile data now so just use that app you don't have to set up any ports

I tried everything. I forwarded the ports and it didn’t work. Now I can’t connect to my ps5 mobile data with the official pan app. That’s what I get for wanting too much.
Most likely something was done inaccurately what you can do is contact the creator of the app
@@Rpgmaniac I tried but he’s not very responsive. Currently I can’t connect to my ps5 via mobile data with the legit Remote Play app anymore. I had to factory reset my router and now I’m having problems..

First connect your ethernet cable to your router and and your ps5 and then go into settings choose the network option and then choose wired connection and you should be connected via ethernet

You can use the regular remote play app on mobile data try that and see if it works

mac address is from the ps5. it is already assigned one and shouldn't change
Playstation community is not as tech savvy as the PC one. Strange stuff you hear and read in this community. Port numbers are codes, ok.

Yeah that's because it's a third party app unfortunately sony keep doing us dirty with the original remoteplay app which is pretty sad in 2020 I can understand why they still haven't allowed people to use they app over mobile data but the good thing with this app is that it works much better than the pstreamer app
