This took me AGES to make so I hope you enjoy 😅 thanks if you watched it tho, I appreciate ya xx
Honestly mate absolutely brilliant hope you continue with this type of video (fitness based). 👌👌👌
Appreciate it man, I'll see what I can do, I've got similar things in the works
@@WildlifeWithCookie Thanks for doing this video🙏
well done
Fantastic efforts. Most people would stop once their legs were sore. You kept pushing and still got close. Good job man. I didn’t see in the video but did you use foam rollers or hand rollers at all?
It’s funny how it’s always the days when you don’t want to run that turn out to be the best running days
facttsss
steven cox okay good because I don’t want to run today
then the days you feel you can hit your goal easy, you have no spring in your step and you overall suck 😯
lol not for me
That goes for anything exercise wise. When I used to powerlift the days I was extremely sore, mentally broken, etc were the days I moved the most weight.
"If you ever feel like not doing something, Just do it" best advice I have ever heard
Well as long as it’s something someone else isn’t forcing you to do.

I started running about a year ago. Never been an athlete, well into life at 70 years of age. I'm still not sure I really like running, but I do it. After a hamstring injury last Fall, I had to back off for a while. It was like withdrawal, and I felt terrible. I walked instead. After some weeks of recovery, I started running again. That's when it dawned on me-- I have become a runner. Still not fast, probably never will be fast. But I run, pretty much every damned day.
Love that
how many minutes can you run straight?
Valbona Ajdini I run 40+ minutes each day. Plus some walking. My usual routes are 6-9 kilometers.
it's amazing.. i started before a month .. I'm 31 years old but it seems really unbelievable that I can reach my goal of 5k jogging..
i can barely do 5 minutes twice..
Valbona Ajdini I’m turning 70 in a few days. Never been athletic. I don’t run fast, but I run persistently.
Be incremental, let your body adapt to running. Focus on good form. When my lungs feel tired I put my attention on my legs, making them work. My heart and lungs will work harder and complain, but they get stronger every day.
Be patient and don’t give up. But don’t push so hard you injure yourself.
I ran 30 minutes for 30 days and at the end i was 15 hours away from home
Omg
But how -

😂😂😂
hahahaha
I walked for an hour every day for 2 months. Along with cutting out sugar and processed food, I lost 30 pounds. I don’t walk as much, only 1-2 days a week now, but I still eat right. I’ve been able to lose another 10 pounds and keep it off for a year. I went from a 42 waist to 38, which are loose on me.
Jeremy King do you incline or speed walk? That’s awesome!
I did the 75 Hard “challenge” a gallon of water a day, two workouts a day 45+ minutes each and a diet like what you did. It changed me sooo much. Got my abs back, running half marathons now, signed up for a full marathon. Sooo awesome to see the challenge.
Cookie, I wanna see you do another 30 day challenge. If you need to do a day of cycling of swimming do it. No excuse 30 days of 45 minute workouts. Hell, do two a day. Don’t stop unless you die. You can do it, and read Can’t Hurt Me.
Sophie Fedrizzi I used the treadmill at the gym, I would just Mix it up. Usually about 3.5 for speed on 4 incline. Sometimes more or less. I haven’t been able to get to the gym with the virus, so I watch what I eat, and still walk 3 days a week around the neighborhood, slow on flat surface.
Hi, Firstly congratulations and Thank you for strengthening My belief on walking.... Can you please tell at what weight you started ?
I finally got a chance to watch this and to say I'm proud of you mate is an understatement. You put yourself out there and that is a far bigger victory than the running challenge. You challenged yourself and you've made a choice to be positive and to take control and to move forward. Congratulations on a great video 👊
PS. I reckon you should have a nother go at 30 days... Think of the glory!
Ah thank you man, I really appreciate your time! I think another 30 may actually end me though 😂
Took the words out of my mouth
Well done !!! Completing 22 days out of 30 is still amazing for a first time runner, especially with the miles covered and pace. This is a great start to a long journey. I have to say what you did was absolutely crazy, I said stop so many times as i was watching. Pushing your body is great, but without rest/recovery you will end up with injury, even the strongest runners would find this difficult.
Remember if you still want to do excersise but give your legs a break, there is the upper body that needs attention to and always give yourself 2/3 rest days.
Best advice is listen to your body, you know yourself when it is doing more damage than good, so just go with your gut.
Great video!!! Keep running!!!😌
Even for people who run all the time a 30 day streak is really hard on the body and almost certainly end up with injury. If you try again factor in rest days and you'll nail it well done mate :)
I use a excise bike everyday for 50 miles and have been doing this every Monday through friday for last 4 years straight. Only 2 days off
Mall coop youre write, and beacause he isn't used to run. Was this plan way to ambisius, his leg muscles where not traint for this, the only way for him to succeed was a vieuw rest days. He was destoying is body.
You just have to be carefull if you're attempting a run streak. Today I ran my 174th day in a row with a PR om my half marathon, improving more than 6 minutes. And that all without injuries.
Air 22 have a medal.
It’s 30 minutes...don’t be a pussy
I’ve been running since September. Training for a marathon. I’m officially now training for a half marathon. And I legit hate it some days. This video is inspiring. All the non runners that are running out there, WE GOT THIS!
Go kill it Alecia! I’m hoping to do a half marathon and marathon around December time, as in TX the summer is hot so not the best for long races. I can’t wait to attempt the challenge though!
Woah I love that! I wanna train for a marathon as well but I'm just doing everything atm for my weightloss first then if I really like it, I would not hesitate to sign up. I really want to run! 🏃🏻♀️
Kudos to you for doing this and documenting it, especially because you didn't complete your goal. It's important to acknowledge that.
I'm sure others have point this out, but when it comes to running as a new runner, you really want to do no more than 2-3 runs per week (even short ones) to build up your body to the pressures of running. You can be in excellent shape otherwise, but running puts different strains on your body. You can build in more runs as you get stronger, but definitely leave a day in the week for active recovery (yoga, walking, etc.). Also ice baths, massage, and foam rolling help aid the healing, process. This will also help with the burnout.
I’m happy to see mentioned one of my favorite parts of running, seeing things in nature. When I started running 100lbs ago I met some ground hogs who I continued to see throughout the season like they were cheering me on. I’d run by and they would pop out their holes. Hope they come out again soon and are alive and well!
Same here but for me it was birds.
Same 🤍🐈
I’m 16 so I’ll only be allowed to run around to run around my street block😂
That’s one of most wholesome things I’ve ever heard, lol. I love animals.
Hi mate, I know u probably won’t see this but at the start of lockdown I watched this video and it has changed my life. I went through a lot of bullying for being overweight and I did this for a month and ever since I have just loved fitness, I used to be 5 foot 5 and 11 stone. Now I’m 5 foot 8 and 9.5 stone with quite abit of muscle. Just thought I would say u helped me out a lot. Much love ❤️❤️❤️

Everyone’s a trainer on here. Everyone’s body is different recovery time and everything is different. Good vid mate keep up the good work!
Agree...no one is the same..what works for you or doesnt work for you will not be the same for him
Chef Kidd nah it’s pretty damn obvious, if you new to running you need rest, to build muscle and heal, or else say hi to an injury.
It’s pretty universal that you need rest days
Pretty damn inspirational dude. Got me trying to work out a daily route I might be able to run.
Let me know how you get on!
Watching this as a runner, it was extremely obvious you should’ve rested at least once a week. You were verbally/unconsciously saying on days 7, 14, and 21 that you were exhausted or in pain. You could’ve planned to rest on day 7, 14 &21 and maybe even one or two more days (like day 28) and you would’ve avoided burnout and injury. Good job either way because you saw the beauty in running and that counts. If you’re still running, Good luck and don’t give up !
Day 3 he had his first runners high!
Wil Broddle my fav part of running ! It’s what keeps me looking forward to it everyday
Explain the runners high to me lol i only like to run sprints not for distance
@@theItalianshamrock For me it happens especially after I stop running. It is just a good feeling, that hot feeling added the fact that the body transmits good feeling mood when the muscles are finally relieved from the effort. It is a little bit like being high I guess, hence the name...
But also the good feeling is present while running.. It is like the body is telling you "Keep running, keep running, I really like it"..
@@theItalianshamrock for me...it usually happens after like mile 2. The first 2 miles are treacherous, legs hurt, I have a hard time getting warmed up, my breathing sucks and i kinda want to stop.
After around mile 2-3, my momentum is full throttle, my legs are fully warm, my breathing has stabilized, my form is better. But the most beautiful part is...I become completely relaxed, that treacherous feeling is now gone, the scenery is beautiful, I feel good, my thoughts are clear and I just want to run. I feel very free. I think its partly because running is one of our most primal movements and its something that we probably dont do as much as our ancient ancestors did.

As a heavier guy myself, exercise bike, rower and ski erg machines are really helping me get my sweat on. Running and even walking long distances is killer on my legs, so until i can lose a bit more weight to ease the pressure on the legs, i'd suggest those other 3 options. Most gyms have them readily available nowadays. Altho the pure utility of just being able to pick up and run is very appealing. Cheers!
Good video mate, 3 months on and you're looking way healthier than at the start. Keep moving forward
Cheers pal, appreciate that, feel loads better haha
U look great! I never ran until my 40’s and the weight just started falling off i am actually in the best shape of my life thanks to running 🏃♀️

Foam Roller!!! Running a couple of times a week really helps me. With a rest day in between. It's great therapy. I'm glad you were able to put this up. I hope you find something you love, that keeps you movin.
I’m so glad you put this out. This may help others that start something and because their body just won’t let them continue doesn’t mean they failed. You need to listen to your body and let it rest when it needs rest. You completed 21 days. That is a huge accomplishment!
I love finding a new youtuber who actually make you laugh. I can’t wait for more off those big cat videos.
Bro...you've impressed me, firstly as an kick ass human that will do shit like this, and secondly as a as a runner. Yeah, the running part isnt the crux of what ya did...its the overcoming of obstacles, formulating a plan, looking pain in the eye and saying bugger iff, and knowing your limits, oh yeah and manning up to what you said you would do. On all accounts, you rock.
PS..sorry bout your dog, brother.
if you try this challenge again, it would be better to progressively increase the duration of your runs so that your body can adjust to the running :)
"My nipple feels like it's about to be sawn off" tell me that's not the most poetic thing you've ever heard
Fair play mate. If only there was more videos like this on TH-cam. I’m just back from the worst run I’ve ever had. Phone fell out of pocket, earphones choked me out, pulled groin and had a stitch haha! It’s just made me that much more determined to carry on. Take the rough with the smooth. Thanks again 👍🏻
Run for 5 days and give your body 48 hrs to recover. Repeat. Generally though you need to start slower and give your body time to adjust.
I would like to encourage you to try again. 🙂
Fully agree. I've been walking every day (just walk) - it's day 20. And only the past three days, I ran intermittently (1 min of running followed by 3-4 mins of walk). My plan is to start running 30 mins. straight, in about 90 days time. Taking it slow - because I want to sustain it. Hopefully.
@Manuel Baut104 awesome 👍👍
@@rosh70 exactly. the point is to work WITH your body and not let sheer stubbornness to stick to a plan override its needs and/or limits.
Hey man I had a similar journey.
I weighed 140kg when I started running.
My first 5km took me 40+ minutes after about 3 months of training on the couch to 5k app.
I will say that I took my rest days as they're definitely needed as I'm sure you know.
About a year in combined with little to know diet regime I had lost about 2kg which almost made me give up.
About a year ago I started the keto diet with the running and a small bit of weights etc.
I now weigh 97 kg.
I can run a 5 k in about 23 minutes and can honestly say that it's the best form of meditation I've found.
Getting into a rhythm of running 3 times a week is a game changer.
Listening to your body is key so you were right to stop.
Sorry about your dog hope it was peaceful for him/her
Mate this was amazing. 2018 i was running even in 5k races but never did this intensity.
I got injured and have faffed around since but you have inspired me.
I loved your puts about the routes being in nature and rain being good.
I am going to get going again because of this vlog. Thanks
Point is... im surprised I’m not dead already 😂😂
Fabian Talamantes that was hilarious.
Literally laughed out loud...chips more chips! Lmao!
I started running 30 min a day but followed a guide. Within six weeks I was running 30 min straight. First week I could only run five :) now I’m so happy I’m a runner :) Also went from 245 to 208 and still losing :)
How you doing now bro, still running? Hows your weight and pace?
"I'm surprised im not dead already. That's gonna change though."
Hey now, don't do anything hasty! XD
I’m glad to see you stopped. I pushed too hard at the beginning of running too and hurt my right leg. It’s been two years and it still hurts after long runs. Always take the rest days, listen to the runners.
Thank u for sharing ur experience bro. As a BEGINNER EXERCISER, it is a DEFINITE 'No, No', To RUN EVERYDAY for 30 minutes duration, for 30 days! What is the HURRY?
START SLOWLY!! Start with casual WALKING for 30 minutes, n DON'T WORRY about SPEED of completion. When u get aches in the leg muscles, gv urself a day or two of REST.
If on the third day, u STILL feel the aches, take ANOTHER day of rest. Then when u hv no more painful aches (i.e. ur leg muscles had STRENGTHENED), do casual walking (pace).
As u improve (strengthened) over time, progress to BRISK WALKING (pace) for 30 minutes, n when u hv improved on stamina AND leg strength, progress to (slow) JOGGING (pace). This way, ur excess body weight loss is gradual, ur fitness improvement is gradual, n u STAY MOTIVATED LONGER in doing JOGGING.
NO NEED To progress to FAST RUNNING!!! - who r u TRYING To impress with FAST RUNNING? IMPROVE AT ur own pace n time. The KEY to focus on is HAVING FUN (i.e. ENJOY urself) in being ACTIVE (n sweating out) outdoor.
Congrats on your first 1 million view vid bro!
Thank you G
People should see that to understand how satisfying and pleasing running is. Running is totally game changing considering quality of life. Amount of benefits is amazing.
Your face lost like a few pounds from the look of it.
Things to change your life 1. The RIGHT shoes for the person 2. Good socks 3. Nip guards 4. Body glide 5. The right training guide or coach. I have used jogging/running in my exercise routine for years and I can tell you that I was never very athletic and never really a great runner - but if done correctly, running can absolutely change your life! The best therapy I have found is running. If you are on the fence about running, I highly encourage you to do a little research, invest in the right pair of shoes and socks and start of slow. You may not love running (most of the time I don’t) but when I don’t get to run I miss it so much.
hey cookie, i know this was a whole 3 years ago and you don't really make anymore fitness content on your channel, but i wanted you to know that i still come back here and watch these videos. they inspire me and i really do love your energy and the passion i saw that you had for investing in yourself. if you ever decided to make more of this content i would be the first to watch!
Great video, I like it that without completed the 30 days you published the video. SO true, the failure it is a part of the success !!
As a periodic runner who has been struggling with achilles pain for years i can relate, a smart move for you would be to start running 3 times a week, start easy and gradually build with max 10% increase in length/time per week. implement strength training (calf raises to build the achilles tendon). i really applaud the effort but the challenge is just to hard on your body. Nice work, do it again but with a better run/recovery ratio.
Brisbane Heat tank top?! Love seeing brits who follow the BBL, great effort mate all round :)
It’s like I would watching my self summer 2019 I was 105kg / 180cm and I said to my self that I have to do something with that. I start running 2-3 runs / week. 3k run around 25-30 min and on beginning I was stopping up to 5 times. Took me 1 mouth to make finally 3k without stop. Around September I increased distance to 5k and I convinced my wife to start running with me. Later I have also find friend in work who was also running. And that was golden shot. From October I was already weighing around 95-97 kg with no diet change. We start practice runs for 1 January race over mountains (9k). After I have finished it I felt that I can accomplish anything. From January I was 94kg start diet and practice to half marathon. Weekly runs up to total of 40k a week still in 3 days ( Wednesday 10k / Friday 10k / Sunday 20k ). Today I’m weighing 83kg my 21k best time is now 1:52h and 10k 49:53m. Official half marathon is in 3 weeks from now. I think u put yourself a bar to high. As someone who never run before running every day it’s a killer for your muscles. On beginning your body need to learn how to recover faster from running and u where not giving it time to learn and that’s why u failed. And finally find some one to run with u. Running alone is very boring. U don’t need to run fast at the beginning. Just run with friend at speed that u can talk with him and talking will not take your breath away. Usually it’s around your 75% of your maximum BPM. 220- your age and then 75%. Get watch to monitor that. And u will see that running can be fun.
Respect for the challenge and putting it out there. I used to hate running, but a run in wind and rain was the things that really got me enjoying it so loved your rain day. Hope you get back to it in a way that suits you.
Well done mate. I run frequently and my advice to you is that everyone needs rest days. Your body needs time to recover and let’s face it, we’re not out to win Olympic medals.
Thanks so much for posting this video. It's inspiring and real. ♥️
Sorry to hear about your dog.
I had to stop running years ago due to Achilles pain. I started again in January but this time I got my gait checked at a running shop so bought the correct trainers for me. I’m now 4 months in with no ankle pain amd im running further and faster then ever before.
Currently in the first postion and dude it feels torture to run with that pain, and not run is an agony as well.
Well done on taking this challenge and learning from it- refreshing to see such honesty. So sorry for the loss of your dog .
Good on you, man. Solid effort. Just as a tip, perhaps you ought to have started a bit more gradually in terms of the intensity of your running sessions. So like, running with regular walking rests in between. But, I suppose there's no better teacher than hindsight.
Thank you for honestly showing us how badly you didn't want to run on day 14. I often feel that way and it's encouraging to know others feel it too, and push through anyway!

Get On My Level it is a bad idea though. You’re not guaranteed to get an injury, but you increase your chances dramatically. Even if you recover your energy, you’ll end up with some weak link of your body giving up. For example I ran yesterday and I ran today. Today was in better weather conditions, with more energy and with a better route (not uphill running) and I did one extra minute per lap. It wasn’t my heart. It were my legs.
Razvan Rogoz hi TH-cam expert , That’s bc your body Is not conditioned to run 2 days in a row or whatever you’re doing . Buddy I run 8-10 miles 6 days a week . I’m perfectly fine . No pain no ache .I rather have a messed up part of my body from running than from being over weight and not doing nothing
Get On My Level cool post some videos on your recovery and nutrition. It would be intriguing to see the perspective of a national level endurance athlete like yourself.
Milspec Mechanic Im a profesional boxer . I train in the morning for 2 1/2 hours & run at night . I’ve been doing this for years . It’s all mental . I take nothing but ice cold showers . I recover when I sleep , I eat pretty much anything I want but mainly carbs . Just bc your mind is telling you to stop bc it wants to be comfortable doesn’t mean you should stop . There’s people who run ultra marathons which is 100+ miles at once . We’re capable of more .

Really enjoyed the video, well done James!! To go from doing very little running, to 30 minutes a day for 22 days is amazing I really take my hat off to you. Great effort!
I think the fact you started to see some of the well-being benefits of exercise is what it is all about that is for sure! :) For me I find that Mountain Biking is what helps me switch off and relax, like a re-set button when things are busy and life gets on top of you! And it is great exercise! I would really recommend it.....Also, generally you do it in places where there have been loads of wild cat sightings around the UK! So, you could bring the two hobbies together!
I once saw a full size Stag in Afan Forest in South Wales when out biking, it was epic!!.....A bit close for comfort, but epic none the less! You never know, the MTB community could be a good place to ask around for sightings of wild cats?!
Thank you, appreciate this! I've wanted to give Mountain Biking a go, there's a TH-cam friend of mine who does it and I think a video would be a laugh.
You're absolutely right though, some of those guys might have seen some things
You have the best personality really hope you blow on TH-cam x
Great vlog, I’d suggest when recovered fully that you just mix it up, rather than just running do run, walk or run one day, swim the next or get a bike. Doing 30 days solid from virtually zero is always going to be tough on the body. Personally you made right decision to stop as you had already pushed the limit. Not worth causing long term injury.
You now know the enjoyment from being outdoors so even if run twice a week still better than nothing.
Good on ya 👍🏼
Honestly mate, quality effort... I identify with your emotions so much haha regardless of where you’re at with your running. It sounds like you had some really bad luck with your dog etc but you set yourself on an awesome endeavour! Much respect, it was always gonna be tough with the no rest. Running can be such a gift though bud and I really hope you have another go like this and have better luck💪🏻 quality vid

Well done sir and thank you for your honesty. Sorry to hear about your dog too. As a veteran of long distance running for many years, every injury I've had has been from going in too hard. As a swim coach no doubt you had a clue but it's great that you took some real benefits out of it all. I hope you can find a way to enjoy some runing injury-free. Self-powered adventure of all kinds is extremely rewarding in so many ways. Take care and thanks for a great vid. Cheers from Sydney - Dave
Great self-experiment in a beautiful landscape! Next time start with 10 minutes and end week 1 with 20 minutes, do the same in week 2 and go gradually up to 30 minutes. Week 3 and 4 should be going easier then. If push comes to shove insert a day off. And incorporate stretching exercises afterwards as a must-do part of the routine. Keep going!
I’m so sorry about your dog. Thanks for your honesty here. So glad you posted it

Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm starting jogging again, and loved watching this. Honestly, ur face looked so much healthier on day 22 as compared to day 1. Your face looked leaner, tanner, and healthier. I think it truly paid off. I hope u keep it up, though not everyday, just a few times per week with rest days in between. I hope you get some muscle wraps and stuff too. I've never used any myself, I know nothing lol, but when I was running a couple of years back I tore something in my leg and just couldn't run again for weeks. My bf told me to get some kind of wrap. I never did. I just quit running. But I'm starting again. Anyways! I wish u the very best of luck. Keep doing it. Wishing u all the best!! -Lynn
I'm really proud of you and am inspired by the fact that you still made the video and were vulnerable enough to talk about your struggles. Thank you for this video.
I ran 30 minutes a day for a week. The following week I needed a wheelchair ♿♿. Unbearable shin splints. *GIVE YOUR BODY A REST*
Stretch fool and you can do it for 1 month
Um...ok. So most people can't run every single day when they first start out, but most people would not need a wheelchair.
Believe me it depends on shoes and how you tie the lace.. it should not be too tight.
Well done. Thank you for documenting your journey. You achieved so much more than what you set out to do. We can all as individuals learn a lot about ourselves when we document things and often by doing so help others in the process.
I appreciate your honesty. So sorry to hear about your dog. A massage would have helped you and served as a proper reward. Beautiful setting. You definitely look more healthy.
I love this so much and watching this felt like I was supporting you every step of the way.
Jesus man losing a dog really hit me hard, well done on the 3 weeks running tho
Thanks for sharing your journey. It's remarkable how you endured for 20ish days without resting a day. I would recommend doing this again but rest every other day for 30 days or see a physical therapist twice a week, while running daily. I run at an above average level, 3 miles in 15:18, 40 plus miles a week avg, stretch daily, workout with weights, daily massage and rest every Sunday. NO MORE INJURIES.
Never run 30 days consecutively, your body needs to rest in between.
Cod Zilla No it does not depend on the pace. Even light jog is not walk. Any type of jogging is putting more strain on your body and should not be done every single day unless you want body damage in the long term.
Cod Zilla You did not just compare a tribe in Africa to your western civilized ass? Sorry for rudeness. Let’s say I believe a Kenyan Masai can run hours a day and still think you shouldn’t. His body would have a problem sitting in front of a computer 8 hours a day, I assume yours wouldn’t. You’ve been sutting in school long enough to not have a body suitable for everyday running. Even proffessional athletes end up with all sorts of aches and injuries when they get older.
NightSky u a doctor or something? cuz that’s not accurate lol
I run 5k+ a day and I'm fine. Never run 30 consecutive days if you aren't a runner.
Matteo there’s the golden response. inexperienced runners shouldn’t do such
Thanks for sharing this with us. I found it encouraging. That last shot with the windmill and the green and brown hill was perfection.
Way to go man learning is what it’s about
Absolutely
Hey man! You did great, I’m sorry to hear about your hardships, still an inspiration
top video mate, well done 👏🏻
Cheers pal 🖤
👍 Great vid.
09:40 so true, that's why I love Nike's "JUST DO IT" (not a Nike fan though, I have Saucony shoes).
My lessons learnt as a beginner:
1) Rest days: the first 2 weeks 2-3 consecutive days running and then 1 rest day on which you walk, not run.
2) Always warm-up and stretching afterwards.
3) Pay attention to your running form, prevent injuries and you run more efficiently.
If I don’t do something everyday then I won’t do it. I love running and if I don’t run one day I can tell the difference. For me one day off is a weeks loss. To each their own. I know professionals say different, But I like it when ppl defy the odds..... C E Fletcher was told to stop lifting but look at him today. Beast mode.......I do what others say can’t be done. Like two a days for years. I’ve died three times, and not from working out, lol! Matter fact I like to think it’s what gives me the edge.... Keep pushing don’t stop you got this. It’s all in the mind not the body.
Well done brother - your honesty in this far outweighed the benefit of completing the 30 days. So refreshing to see someone do a really real account of these challenges. Good on you, you should feel really proud. Now I need to plan my own regime to get fit and lose some weight 👍👍
You are looking fantastic after all your hard work, well done! If you feel like giving running a go again look into doing couch to 5k. You'd some pretty good times going on there considering you were only running for a few weeks.
Glad to see that you put out the video. Our bodies are incredible. I think it's important to listen to them. I used to go full force and push through pain that I should have listened to and ended up injured and out of commission. I recently started running again in July doing the Couch to 5k program. It's gone on longer than the 9 weeks but I've taken some days/weeks off due to pain and also being sick. Taking that time has allowed me to stick with it really become attuned to my body.
For those of you new to running, the “my calves hurt and my body feels sore” has to do a lot with stretching prior to running or any kind of exercise, if you don’t stretch you will be tired and have a lot of cramps, you need to stretch!
But don't do static stretching before running! Dynamic stretches are okay before, but keep the static stretches for afterwards
The nemophilist i second that statement
I just did a simular challenge after watching this, you kinda inspired me! Uploaded the result today! Keep pushing on your weightloss journey my friend! You got this!
If you added. “And this is what happened” with a clickbait thumbnail you could’ve had 1 mil views by now.
I'm probably going to change the thumbnail, I don't like the current one, it's too dark. You could be right though haha, didn't wanna go all clickbait for this one though :)
Looks like he followed your advice
It worked
Yeah coming back to this, it did work 😂
I made a video called this is what happened and this is what happened
Very inspiring. Great job on the running. I can't imagine how much work went into making this video....
Mate you gotta have rest days after every few days running for the body to repair itself. Like 1 or 2 days rest after every 3 or 4 days running 3 or 4 miles! Good on ya pal! Keep it up!
You're awesome. And your pain threshold is very high. You were in pain for a majority of those days and you still persevered. Good on you. Sorry about your dog.
