I’ve been watching fatboy reviews for the past 2 weeks because I’m thinking about upgrading from my sportster. I have to say this is by far the best review I’ve come across. Can’t wait for the summer
This is awesome. This is my dream bike. I had other ideas for bikes before the 2018 fatboy came out, but when this showed up... This is my goal, to get one of these for myself.
I couldn't agree more about the handling of the Fat Boy. I took out the 2019 Fat Boy, and prior to that, I had heard the big tires on the Fat Boy made it harder to steer. Well, it may be a bit easier with a bike with slimmer tires, but I didn't think it was too bad at handling the corners at all. Now mind you, I wasn't doing any kind of high speeds, but who uses a cruiser for high speed twisties and fast switch backs anyway. It is a great bike and I would recommend it to anyone that was wanting a good all around bike. It was comfortable and had lots of guts for that get up and go feeling. And to top it off, it looks so damn sexy!
İ live in Turkey i would like to ask u question.2009 Fatboy on 11,000 km secondhand and Softail deluxe 2007 on 6,500 km.Fatboy has wind shield boxes ana seat bar behind.Deluxe in low km and choco style with orginal fish pipes whichone u choose???
You make awesome reviews Fast-Action Jax, in fact I liked this one so much I went out and got one. I have the 107 and am very happy with it, hoping for the weather to break so I can get it out more. I was really worried about how that big rear tire was going to make the bike handle, but it actually handles really well. I changed the rear seat and put a backrest on for my wife and she finds the bike comfortable as well. We both love how it looks, it is BadAss! Thanks for the review.
I love mine! Sounds awesome with cobra neighbor haters on it! I’m looking forward to warm days. Has a lot of low end torque. Has no problem passing the slow cagers on the highway. So far I have put a quick detach sissy bar, mini passenger floor boards, slip ons, and a mustache bar on mine. Next is a windshield and quick detach saddle bags. Then I’ll do a auto tuner and intake. After that I don’t know, too many options lol. This is a tough looking bike and can back it up too! Turns a lot of heads that’s for sure! Gets a lot of attention.
I've always admired the looks of the FatBoy. Bad ass persona and it looks tough. Out of the entire lineup that was changed up I thought the FatBoy benefitted the most. It looks amazing in video and even better in person. It feels very light and the Milwaukee 8 is an incredible motor. Really solid review man. Really good. Keep it up!!
Thanks for the review. Currently ride a 2014 Street Glide Special and been riding Harleys since 1969. I am dying to go and take one of these for a test ride. I would never give up my Street Glide but maybe in a few years could spring for one of these new monotails and have the best of both worlds.
"Little bit of floor board scrape there but no big deal...later...she's not going on the show room floor just yet guys, she hasn't been washed, we just got her" Lol, Nice review mate! Picking up my 2020 next week! So lOOking so forward to it :D
Greetings from Australia! Thanks for an excellent review. I actually got into motorcycles with the ultimate aim of getting a Fatboy one day. I was a little unsure until the 2018 model was released but I hope to get the 114 version when it's available at my local dealership. Just a shame they're so damn expensive down under ($35,000). Still, you can't take it with you. Keep up the great work!
Awesome review Fast Action Jax. I plan to buy a new Fatty in the next few weeks. I wasn't a big fan of the 2018 when I first saw it, but its grown on me. I'm from Melbourne Australia, the Fatboy is expensive over here 30-35 K depending on engine size. But anyway test riding next week. Cant wait. Keep up the great work.
Stewart Armstrong Yeah it is a lot of fun to ride and I'm with you. I didn't like it at all when I saw it online but when I saw it in person it grew on me a lot and when I rode it I liked it a lot!
Dan The Chippie it does not come with cruise but it can be added easily, their are also Harley Davidson lockable bags available and many aftermarket options
Hey Jax! Loving the reviews so far, no complaints, I actually have a request. I know you mentioned in a previous video you weren't a fan of the 48 fat tire but would you be able to do a 2018 sportster 48 review? I would greatly appreciate your view and style of video on it. Thanks again!
Mark Davis yes I will be doing videos of the rest of the 18's as well. We just haven't gotten any yet. I still have some 17's on the floor but I wanted to do 18s. Harley will probably send us the shipment of sportsters in the beginning of next week. And I do like the 48s, I think it's a great bike and fun to ride just not my cup of tea. When I do a review on it, it won't be biased either my friend, I try not to portray my opinions in my video because everyone has different taste. Thank you btw! That means a lot!
Can cruise control be ordered for this model? I'm looking to upgrade from my Sportster and that's a feature I really would like to have on my next bike.
I use to have an army buddy that called himself action jackson. Great reviews. You obviously know h.d. well. Wish I could review this bike. Subbed and liked
Hey Fast-Action Jax I'm not in the market for a Fatboy but, your reviews are great and I dig bikes so you got my sub! "So please keep the videos rollin!"
subscribed and great review. when I first heard about the changes I wasn't too happy, but the more I research the bikes, the more I'm liking them. I haven't ridden one yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I wasn't to happy about the changes made to the breakout, of the recent softails that was my fav mod. I run my softail with chopper T bars, and they by far are my fav, for position and functionality. if I was to go into another softail, it would prob be the fat boy, simply because I wouldnt have the riser tach/speedo to contend with when switching bars out. I don't like floor boards so id end up doing forward controls. the fat bob is way cool also, just wish it had a bigger tire on the back
actually if the go to bung kings website they make riser specifically for the 18 models with the riser instrument cluster, they look good too! they also have some other handy things for the 18's. but I'm with you complete about the new fatboy, But once I rode it I liked it a lot! I actually really like the new breakout though, I'm a fan of the new smaller tank because I feel it gives it more of an aggressive look and I never thought of it as much of a touring bike so I dont see the need for a bigger tank other than convenience. go ride some though!
I'm not a huge fan of the solid wheels either, next time your browsing the web, check out "Ricks 2018 fatboy". that thing is a beast. the wheels he put on are perfect Imo
Hey Jax. have a quick question. a couple of guys asking me about the new seat height on 2018 models. Since the ground clearance has been reduced then it defo helps shorter riders to ride but the seat height has been raised a bit, right? Then would that be a same situation before for short-height riders as well?
I dont disagree with you. I actually hated the new nacelle when I first saw it but it's grown on me looking at it everyday and I dig it now. Just took a little getting used to I guess.
Amrish Kumar sure it’s not a bad bike to learn on. Just take it easy on it has a lot of power. I just bought one in February. Get very comfortable on it before riding two up. I’d recommend taking a riding training course it will help a lot. But I would recommend riding something cheaper if you have absolutely zero riding time. It won’t say sorry if it kills you. Not a bike to try and rip through corners on. Super fun in a straight line though will push your butt back in the saddle. Keep in mind if you lay it over even in the driveway it could cost you easily $1000 usd to fix. Here’s one thing to consider. What type of rider are you? You wanting to rip it around and show off or just looking for a nice easy cruising bike with great power? If you just want to rip and show off it’s not good for a first bike. It will hurt you. If you just wanna cruise in no rush it can be a beginner bike but not recommended. If you live in a large congested city not a good beginner. If you live in a rural area wide open roads where you can learn at your pace it can.
@@kylecurtis42ify wow thankyou very well said I am going to take my motorcycle class soon n also not to show off n go fast but somthing that I can ride n cruise on the freeway maybe ride to and from work

I own a ‘22 Fatboy. The concern over handling is far overblown.
Picking up my new fat boy tomorrow, been watching many reviews, yours is the best thanks
Thanks brother! I really appreciate that!
Which city ?
Great review, no dumb ass music in the background, straight no nonsense commentary of the bike. Awesome bike, awesome review..

VROD came with 240s on rear. And it was good handling good looking bike. I actually wandered why it wasnt on Fatboy earlier or even Roadking

Great honest review. Does it come with cruse control and can lockable saddle bags be instaled

Between fatboy and breakout which one is better?

Yes.
Great bike, the looks and the power of this 2018 fatboy, am having second thought on upgrading from my 2016 883 superlow to the fat boy

Thats awesome and thank you! I just love Harley and have years worth of learning trapped in my head and Im trying to put it to good use :)
I got one and I love it. Everyone wants the Me 2 bike but this one is pretty cool.

These 2018s softail seem to sound great already with stock pipes.
Adrian Rubi I agree!
Fast Action Jax your the man, I really like your reviews keep up the great job.
thanks brother! I really appreciate it!
Sound of changing gears is normal ?
What is the preise
Still think the lowrider is the best of the 18's?
Yes, I like the paint of the street bob better though but I like the way the Lowrider rides the best.
Fast-Action Jax wow that was a quick reply, cheers mate. Just came across your channel, loving it
Fast-action Jax, I would love your take on my vlog given your knowledge base.
I am so hooked on this bike. I just wish it didn't have those solid wheels on it. Just my personal preference.
I'm not a huge fan of the solid wheels either, next time your browsing the web, check out "Ricks 2018 fatboy". that thing is a beast. the wheels he put on are perfect Imo

Since the ground clearance has been reduced then it defo helps shorter riders to ride but the seat height has been raised a bit, right? the seat height of the 2017 Fatboy is 26.4 and the seat height of the 2018 is 25.9. so the 18 is about half an inch lower.
Fuck mate, you'd make an incredible salesman
Nice bike
Has anyone started producing & selling a kit to replace the new headlight & nacelle with the original fat boy style headlight & nacelle?
Honestly brother I dont see anyone even making that at all.
Not saying anything bad about the current setup, but I would prefer the original style, strictly in my opinion.
I dont disagree with you. I actually hated the new nacelle when I first saw it but it's grown on me looking at it everyday and I dig it now. Just took a little getting used to I guess.

Test drove one a them.... didn't really like it.
Gotta work on that audio man. Almost like it’s too close to you mouth or something. Not trying to be mean though, just saying.

This is an old video brother, that's been solved for some time. Appreciate the feedback though
Fast-Action Jax you’re right it is pretty old. Keep it up I enjoy all the videos you post.
